what is a hd eyeshadow?
I think it’s high density, meaning more highly pigmented. Correct me if I’m wrong, anyone :+)
Hi Elle! HD it´s High Definition, it means it is ideal for taking photos etc. In makeup, the “high definition” products are made to be shown better on camera when you take a pic or video.
I love the pattern, but I wonder how easy it is to dip a real brush (as opposed to a sponge applicator) in it! Can’t wait to see what you think 🙂
Sunny, that’s what I was thinking. They’re really eye-catching (pun intended), but as far as useful, well, not for my amateur level. I also thought of swirling an eyeshadow brush over all the colors and see what I get. See, I told you I’m an amateur.

Ahh I can’t wait to see what you think of these, Karen! I have a couple in Green Park and Royal Blue. Texture is very good for the price but the small bits really kill me unless you have the proper tools i.e. small brushes. They are otherwise a very lovely budget friendly set of shadows 😀

Again, the price is unbelievably cheap! $5.69!!!!!! I paid £6.99 per palette! And Rimmel is a British brand! What a BIG RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It looks pretty…but I don’t trust Rimmel. Everything I’ve tried has been kind of…crappy.
Have you ever tried their blushes? They’re actually amazing. And their single shadows aren’t bad either!
i don’t like them very much, either. plus, they do conduct animal testing per PETA, so they’re esp. on my bad list.
I am kind of worried that actually dipping a real brush into the design might be a problem with this palette due to the such small areas of the design, but by the looks of it it seems to be a promising palette. I look forward to an in-depth review (and know if you really can use a real brush with these shadows).
I just want to add… Except the cross part, the rest of the palette is quite difficult to handle. You need a really small brush.
I saw this on asos.com and I’m trying my best to resist the urge to buy the one in blue(red/white like the Union Jack! It’s to die for.
