What do you get when you combine an iconic, sultry siren of the silver screen, MAC makeup and glamour?
Answer: MAC Marilyn Monroe.
The 29-piece release is available online now at maccosmetics.com and arrives to ravish North American MAC locations October 4 (coming to international locations some time next month) with new and re-promoted pieces for eyes, lips, cheeks and nails, all of it dressed to the nines in special red, white and black packaging.
MAC loaded the collection with lip products designed to re-create Marilyn’s signature pout, and along with loving the lipsticks, I’m also pretty jazzed about the Beauty Powder in Forever Marilyn ($28) — a sheer pale peach highlighter — and the two Powder Blushes in pale coral Legendary and neutral pinkish beige The Perfect Cheek.
I can’t wait to try another Marilyn makeup look like that one from last week.

I like the shades but if I’m honest I really don’t like the packaging, I was expecting something classy and sleeker.
The shades are so pretty of this collection!
I’m not particularly excited about this collection, but there is one lipstick that does draw my attention. It’s a beautiful orangey red that I think would be perfect for me!
I was expecting more from the gloss… and I’m disappointed that the blush doesn’t seem to have any shimmer. 🙁

I’m really upset that this collection is already sold out online. I wanted Love Goddess lipstick… Now that I see your swatches (I’m just a little darker than you – NC45), Scarlet Ibis lipstick and Showgirl eyeshadow are beautiful!!
I really want the Legendary blush. Hopefully I will be able to get it when the collection launches in stores and at other online retailers..

the collection is already OOS but as I am in India I can always lay my hands on the stuff I want 😀 😀 the lipsticks are to die for and am digging that blush soooo much 😀 😀

Hey Karen i just picked up deeply adored lipstick from this collection OMG it is my holy grail red!!!! I must get a back up :-). Nothing else appealed to me from this collection

Okay so I went to the pre-launch and got Phiff! Love it! Went to get Little rock a day later online and it said sold out along with many others including my friends beloved pure zen. Went to the store and they said they are launching on oct 4 so they have to officially comment as sold out. My advice drive to a different store that didn’t have a pre-launch cause their stock won’t be resupplied by the open launch date.

I’m so sad almost everything is already sold out on MAC.com! I’m (not so) patiently waiting for it to launch on the Nordies website. I would try to go to a counter but I’m sure it will be capital C Crazy!
I skipped the blushes but got the Beauty Powder (the MAC Artist at the event swirled it all over my face and I was sooo glowy) and all the lipsticks.
Pure Zen is part of the perm line so I saved a buck and a half and bought it in regular packaging.
Im wearing Scarlet Ibis today and I may have found my signature lipstick. Too bad its LE. 🙂
