Hey, ladies!
Today the blog turns two, and I decided to celebrate by dressing her in a new outfit. 🙂
I’m still working out the kinks. Shouldn’t be long now…
Oh! Tabs just got back from New York Fashion Week. After inhaling two cans of Friskies he hopped on my computer and pulled up his new blog, Party with Tabs.
I have no clue where that cat finds the time for all this stuff: modeling, acting and now blogging, too?
On the new blog Tabs will report celebrity news, dish on gossip and review fashion and beauty accessories.

Ooo, I finally got a brush targeted for the undercoat for Zena. I haven’t been able to properly test it as Zena refused to be brushed today but as far as I could test it, it works pretty well. I shelled out $25 for the darned Bamboo Undercoat thinger at Petsmart. I did think about getting the Furminator but at $46 for a brush for a medium sized dog (aka Zena) there was no way I was buying that. I almost cried as the one from the company Bamboo was more expensive than the Fur Buster at Target! It better work darned well or there will be words exchanged!
I’m off to read the long list of books that I need to read before I can read The Complete Sherlock Holmes which has every Sherlock novel and short story written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as he is the best and only Sherlock author I’ll read. Authors who do write new stories on Sherlock just stink; they either get Watson’s narration wrong, Sherlock’s personality and quirks wrong or just get the whole thing WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!
With my book, I got two shirts from Go International which need washing as they’ve got that brand-new itchy starchy feeling. The shirts fit too–off the rack!! That never happens as I’m 5’2″ and barely 105 pounds (I’m a skinny little bugger). It’s unheard of that something fits off the rack. I’m constantly hemming or raising or taking something in. They’re very cute. I got it in both that color and the navy color they have. Now, all I need is a pair of black jeans or pants. While dark wash jeans look good with them, they’ll look divine with black pants.
Hi Karen! Envy is a girl and she got her name because I loved her super green eyes. That got me thinking about jealousy and envy and the name Envy stuck.

Your new top looks really cute. I love little ruffle details. I went window shopping this evening to de-stress and was tempted by a few tops on sale at Gap. Strangely enough, I was also drawn to an orange pair of pants I saw at J. Crew. Does one need orange pants? I’m not sure yet. 🙂

I only had Envy for about a year (she was a stray that I adopted). Unfortunately, I had to give her away since I moved into an apartment complex that was not pet friendly. I miss her and wish I could have kept her. What sucks now is even though I moved out of that complex, my bf is allergic to cats so I can’t have one anymore. =(

I have got a question for you now…
I’ve started curling my lashes again, was just to lazy before, but I’ve noticed that about 10 minutes after I’ve applied mascara that they’re back to straight & flat…
Any ideas? Does the kind of mascara you use affect the hold? I usually use non-waterproof because I dislike makeup remover. Would using waterproof help the curl hold better?

I’ve noticed that some mascaras work better at holding the curl (my lashes are super straight, too).
I like Chanel Exceptionnel for high-end, Clinique High Impact Curling mascara for mid and L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black for drugstore mascara. 🙂 For me, these hold the curl very well!

Obviously I’m not Karen but I do have some tips on mascara’s that keep lashes curled. Choose a drier gel formula, waterproof mascaras do hold curled lashes better. Apply your mascara in thin layers (wiping off the brush before you use it on a tissue helps), allowing each layer to dry before you put on the next – too much mascara at once will make the eyelashes too wet & the curl will come out. I like Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof & Cover Girl Lash Exact Waterproof. Cheers!
