I’m doing that today. For sure. It’s only 7:20, and it’s already sunny as all heck. Just a few clouds in the sky, which look like they’re all gonna burn off, so it’s gonna be another warm one, I bet.
I hope you weekend gets off to a great start. I just opened my eyes a few minutes ago, so my brain hasn’t fully booted up (no caffeine or nom noms yet).
A couple of chirping birds just streaked past my window, but the regular cacophony of songbirds hasn’t begun.
Oh! — I take that back. One of them just called…and there goes the response. Pretty soon it’ll be a full-on bird jamboree up in here.

I woke up very tired this morning as I was working until late last night in one of my assignments that I have due this week. I applied some concealer under my eyes and problem solved. Brushes are my favorite make up tools as I don’t think i would be able to apply everything with my fingers…or blend…or contour.
I have dated and been married to someone 12 years older than me for 3 and a half years and was the biggest mistake I have ever done. I am still paying the consequences of this immature decision…but you always learn from mistakes…
Last night, I was reading your post about the Ambient powders and I’m going to run out to get Dim light today. I tried it in store yesterday evening and couldn’t see a difference but every time I looked in the mirror afterwards once I got home, I noticed something looked better. Your post confirmed it. It’s subtle but has a nice impact. Going back to get it today. 🙂

My beauty VIP is my Clarisonic. In combination with AHAs, it has changed my skin completely. The texture and clarity are 100% better and I don’t get breakouts nearly as often. It took a little while, but I figured out that my optimal routine the clarisonic once a day in the morning in the shower, then a cleansing oil at night to make sure all the makeup is gone for the night.
One of these days I will win!

Last night I decompressed with a glass of wine and some Netflix.
My go to beauty tool is my tweezer. I think I’m obsessed with tweezing.
The Lumene BB cream (high-end drugstore, available at CVS and Ulta) is pretty darned good and I’ve used alot of different ones, including both American, Japanese and Korean brands. Good coverage (medium), the darker shade is a good match for my NW25-NW30ish skin and it lasts for about 7-8 hours. If you’re looking for a less expensive alternative, this is a great option at only $14.99. Hugs to Tabs!
Well those new NARS Satin lip pencils are definitely on my mind. I ordered Lodhi and am anxiously waiting for it to come. If I love it, I don’t even know how to decide which of the other ones to get. I want them all so badly, but that’s not in the cards haha!

Buff Powder Brush. I bought it to buff in Guerlain’s wonderful bronzers (and it works perfectly for that), but it also works for powder, foundation, you name it – if I could bring one tool with me, this would be it. I love that it’s so soft and the head is flat, all the better for buffing products in!

I like tight lining my eyes with an angled eyeliner brush. I use MAC fluid line in black track. The application is really easy and it lasts for about 8 hours. After 8 hours the liner transfers a little bit to my lower lash line but not so much where you don’t see anymore of the tight line

I do not know how to tightline my eyes. Sadly, when I attempt to, my eyes tear up and then the eyeliner gets everywhere! 😛

My “local” Sephora finally has my shade of the Kat Von D foundation in my color after MONTHS of waiting. Why hasn’t it shown up online after so long I will not understand, but there are a few things I would LOVE to pick up online. A Shiseido lacquer rouge has been on my list for ages! The stila eyeliner in periwinkle is also something I thought would be amazing for summer!
Homie, I once dated a guy twenty-freakin-five years older than me. It went great, we broke up cause of age difference but I wouldn’t have done anything different. My husband is seven years my junior and clearly I’m quite fond of him. 🙂

Went to the park today…lovely day for a walk and hardly any wind! I love Spring!! So many beautiful flowers to enjoy and such a variety. And grocery shopping is done…it’s a fine Saturday.

Hello Karen! It’s been a while! Things have been kinda crazy lately, trying to settle down in my third city move (all within one year)! Last night…hmm, oh right, I took some Vicodin to knock myself out bc I just got my wisdom tooth extracted. Yay! Hahahahahahaha. I don’t have any plants in my house…I can’t stand bugs, which is the reason why I appreciate nature from a distance (am I the worst or what?). My most valuable beauty tool….my clarisonic of course! It has saved my acne-prone, oily skin! This little machine is amazing for getting all the makeup off! Oh, I just started using Boscia’s Cleansing Oil! OH! MY GOD! That thing takes off EVERYTHING, even waterproof mascara!! I don’t have any nail polish as of the moment bc I’m still trying to settle down, and I haven’t started my collection yet! I LOVE tight lining! I’m an absolute pro! What am I thinking of…umm, “I need a job, yet I’m looking around Sephora like I have ca$h money to spend!” hahahaha! Thanks for reading Karen! I found a cactus lying in the street on my way to lunch yesterday! Just lying there, in perfect condition, complete with a root ball. It looked kind of like Swamp Thing’s you-know-what. I didn’t want it to die so I carried it to lunch in my hands and the busboy brought me a cup for it and gave me cactus care advice.
Now I have this vaguely obscene cactus. Seriously, it’s a long green stalk with a red ball on the end and a fuzzy brown root ball. I planted it but it’s still totally a weiner.

I keep a number of plants around the house, and luckily my cat doesn’t bother the live and healthy ones … but apparently any crispy, dead leaves are like potato chips to her, an irresistible treat (that makes her vomit). It’s an added incentive to keep them alive.

Last night my husband and I made an awesome dinner – grilled eggplant with Greek seasoning, grilled asparagus, and a lentil, cucumber, feta salad with lemon vinaigrette. I love food so that was a pretty perfect Saturday night for me!

Last night was a pretty relaxed chill Saturday, I tried to pamper myself with a face mask from the stress of studying for midterms. I even gave in to eating junk food, mmmm chocolate and lots of Chinese food.
Spent the whole weekend with friends at a beach house. Very fun.

Hey! Hermmm…been playing with the Nars “And God Created the Woman” palette. Normally I don’t like palettes much, feels as if you end up with shades you don’t want (and they’re hogging up precious makeup-drawer real estate), or shades you already own, but this one imo is genuinely worthy.
I just tried “Coconut Grove” yesterday from the palette…amazing. In the pan, it appears a dreary requisite dark-brown “shadow anyone could wear.” On, it’s subtly…purple? It’s not quite plain dark brown. I wore it with Bellissima II from the same palette. Again you’re thinkin’, zzzzzzzz…but it turned out quite pretty.
