OH! I’m watching one of Rick Steve’s travel programs for Paris on PBS as I type this (he was just at the Musee Rodin) and would so LOVE to be sipping my hot coffee at a Parisian cafe…
That would be nice. 🙂
Rise and shine, morning glory! It’s going to be a beautiful day. I hope you have something nice lined up, or at least don’t have a ton of chores to do today. I should do a little cleaning and finish decorating the tree…but I really don’t want to. I’d rather futz around and play.
Have a wonderful weekend, OK? If I keep watching this program, I’m never gonna get anything productive done, so I’d better hop to it. The treadmill is calling my name… “Karen!? Aren’t you going to run on me?? You’re supposed to run on me today!!”
Haha! I made myself laugh.

I have beautiful paintings on my walls that my fiancee purchased in Alaska while he was crab fishing over the past 20 years. Painted by natives of the state. I love them. Beautiful place.

let it snow let it snow let it snow
I love blush Estee Lauder Potpourri -01 ja beautiful in Estonian language is ILUS!
My new favorite blush is Rockateur by Benefit. It’s so pretty. I want to get Coralista next. Thanks for the chance and happy holidays!
I LOVE Burberry blushes and I can’t pick a favorite, though Tangerine is pretty close to being #1 for me. I also use Russet as a bronzer/blush to add warmth to my face.
Beautiful in Norwegian is vakker.
My favorite bronzer is Laguna by Nars!
Hmmm I think I went to a museum last year 🙂
this would perfect for the holiday sale
I’m definitely eyeing some goodies from sephora right now!
My favorite blush is by Tarte. Beautiful colors and long lasting.
I visited the Chicago Planetarium last summer! And as for paintings on my walls, a close friend from middle school gave me a paint-by-numbers for a Christmas present. She was the one that painted it in and it looks so amazing.
I proudly display my 2 yr old’s paintings in my living and dining room! I have a glass top coffee table in the living room and I place her paintings there. Every time she comes downstairs, she points to her artwork and says I did it 🙂
PS., I have a ton of Mac blushes it’s hard to pick just one as my fave!
I’m not to thrilled that we are going to get snow tomorrow and maybe ice too, but my dog will be happy she loves to play in the snow.
Well I have been raised in two languages and at school we get taught in another language so here it goes
Spanish ” Hermoso” , Papimento (dialect Aruba and Curacao) ” Bunita”
But we get our education in Dutch “Mooi”
I think the most beautiful bottle I have ever seen is from Christian Dior Pure Poison.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to a museum… maybe a year or so?
I was at a museum about 6 months ago, I visited The Burke which is a natural history museum on the UW campus (I was there for a school project).
I would love to try Benefit Rockateur!
So glad it’s the weekend!
The last time I went to a museum was a few years ago to see the Bodies exhibit. So cool!
Unfortunately I don’t have any paintings on my walls yet. I have a thing for prints, though.
This weekend will be spent studying for my most stressful final, which is Monday. I have to lead a megacode for my advanced cardiac life support class. 8/
I just keep thinking about how it will all be over Monday night and my Naked 3 will be on its way to help me celebrate!
I have a painting by Noah he did a painting of Charis from YouTube it also has a beautiful message behind it.
I have a paper and a final coming and I’m procrastinating big time this weekend. In fact I think I’m going to take a nap. Instead of starting the paper or studying.
Beautiful = красив
That is in Bulgarian and is pronounced krasiv. 🙂
That Benefit picture is so cute and colorful. Looks like pretty candy that probably tastes pretty bad.
My favorite bronzer is from Benefit! I absolutely adore the Hoola bronzer! 😀
I am loving Benefit’s Rockateur! It has been my go-to cheek color 🙂
Beautiful translates into beelschoon in Dutch 🙂
What a terrible day, Karen! I hope yours is better. Beautiful in Polish is “piekny” or “piekna” depending on the gender.
I totally waited for Naked 3 to go live on the Sephora website between the 5th and 6th. Does this mean I have an addiction? Haha >_<
Beautiful = beau (male subject) / belle (female subject)
That’s in French! ^^
My favorite blush is from TheBalm it’s a tie between Frat Boy and Cabana Boy. They’re ah-mazing!
I do have paintings on my wall. I go every fall and spring to a local yet famous art school and they have their artists in residence do an auction for 3 Fridays every Fall and Spring. It used to be a lot cheaper to buy before they started putting the auctions online where anyone in the world could buy. No mtter, I bought in the earlier years (about 10 years ago) some gorgeous works for less than 200 bucks.
Hope I win! I love Sephora!
Not even a language that I speak, but right after I read the second question, I immediately thought, “bella”. What is up with my brain? I’ve learned a little bit of a few languages in the last decade (French, German, Korean), so it’s funny which translation my mind zooms to.
I remembering reading that Musee Rodin cafe tip in Rick Steve’s Paris guidebook, but unfortunately decided to skip it. Oh well, maybe the next time I’m in Paris…
i love laura mercier blushes!
I ordered the Naked3 palette…hopefully it doesn’t make my eyes look swollen!
Oh, I should use mine too. Darn lol
I’m discovering that I can almost never do a nude lip without some sort of twist on it. For instance, today I decided to top a very pale liner with the gunmetal shade from the Rimmel Kate Moss collection and a random black sparkly lipgloss I picked up for…$2? Yes, very understated indeed. 😛
I’m so tempted to get all the Benefit blushes! They look so pretty!
in Bangla beautiful is shundor and a beautiful girl is shundori.
yay!
Last time I went to a museum was four years ago as chaperone with my daughter’s class for school.
NARS makes my favorite blush.
The Most Beautiful Bottle of perfume have to be my Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Noir because it’s hot pink and has a nice black bow on it.
Hi! New to your blog, newish to makeup, and a first time commenter!! I’m really enjoying all of the above so far. Sooo…Spanish was spoken in my home (but I’m really bad at it!) and has a lot of words for beautiful/pretty: hermosa, guapa, linda, bonita… etc etc!
Love all the tips I’ve learned from you over the years and love the Call Me Maybe lipstick!
My favorite blush to use depends on the season. In Winter, I typically grab a rosy shade like Tarte’s Amazonian clay blush in “Adventurous.” In the spring and summer, though, I always go for peach or coral, and my all-time favorite is NARS blush in “Orgasm.” =)
The last museum I went to was the Crime and Punishment Museum in D.C. In June 2013. My favorite part was the Bonni and Clyde exhibits! I would love to win 🙂
I have a lot of paintings on my walls, one of which is a Rene Magritte print hanging over my couch! I absolutely love it.
My favorite blush right now is by Mineral Fusion in a very neutral muted color called Pale. It’s just right for a not-young person like me.

In Hebrew, beautiful is “yefeyfe” (pronounced “ye-fey-fe”, emphasis on the “fe”) for a boy and “yefeyfiya” (pronounced “ye-fey-fi-ya”) for a girl. It’s a mouthful, I know 🙂
In my language we say beautiful so “bonita”! And the funny thing is that we say “so what, beauty?” as a greeting, and the answer is always “gem”! ^_^ i’ts like that here in Brazil!
My favourite brush at the moment is crownbrush hdset! I love it! #dreamskin

Thanks so much Karen! YAY Sephora!
beautiful in German means ” wunderschön” , English is so much better. 😀
Favorite blush? Well, let’s see. Up until yesterday, it was Cinnamon by NYX. It is gaw-geous up against my brown skin. It’s kinda a dupe for Tangerine by MUFE. BUT, then yesterday happened.
I was just stopping by the MAC counter for a brush to purchase & add to my collection. Then, I did it. I stopped to “play” in the blushes. Most notably, MAC Raisin. So many YT makeup gurus swear by it’s effect on brown skinned beauties. One swap and I was SOLD. Which is what I said to the sales rep. It made an immediate difference on my everyday makeup look. And that’s what I love about it. It’s a blush that I can wear everyday with any color lipstick or outfit. And for reference, I was rocking MAC Lickable (stunning cream sheen fusia) and the blush complimented it so well. And for that reason, MAC Raisin is my FAVE blush ☺️
I love TheBalm’s blushes but these days I’ve been getting into the Nars ones.
My all time favorite bronzer is Hoola by Benefit Cosmetics. It’s the perfect shade for contouring and the packaging is fabulous.
My first language was gibberish. Beautiful is “bootyfull” in gibberish.
My favorite blush is Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush. I use it nearly every day even though I have some other good ones. It usually wins out.
Beautiful-is prelepa! 🙂
I wouldn’t really call it a talent but, I can pick up almost anything with my toes, lol.
I just picked up the Tarte off the Cuff palette and it is already one of my favorites! I love the idea of having 4 amazing blushes and a bronzer in 1 convenient palette!
I was at the Louvre museum in September. Loved it.

Love these chances to win! I went to a museum a couple of weeks ago – the Museum of Arts and Design in NYC. Very interesting exhibits!
I have a few different paintings on my walls! I am proud to say that I painted them all myself. One is my monogram, with each letter on a different canvas with a patter, and one with a scripture on the other. They are my favorite decorations because I made them 🙂

Nars makes my favorite blush.

Still looking for a favorite blush. I want a nice, clean, bright, cotton-candy pink blush, but nothing’s worked for me so far!
Loce giveaway weekends!
It’s so dreary here, I just want to stay in bed all day!
Beautiful in Spanish can be said in different ways like: hermoso, hermosa, bello, bella. 🙂
My last makeup purchase was Tartes’s 12 hour Amazonian Clay Foundation. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet… Maybe a few more uses I can make a decision. I’m trying different application techniques.
I am in love with 2 blushes currently and have been for quite a while – Benefit’s Rockateur and Laura Mercier’s cream blush in Oleander. Have a wonderful weekend!
I don’t know what the most beautiful bottle of perfume I’ve ever seen is, but I am definitely a sucker for their packaging. Even if I loved the scent, if the bottle was awful I don’t think I could have it out on my perfume display. And there may be a couple I own simply because they are so beautiful!
In french we say beau (male subject) or belle (female subject), also I went to the quebec museum of contemporary art about two months ago.

NARS is my go to for blushes & bronzer!
I love the picture at the top of your post! Benefit blushes have the cutest packaging. But i have to say, i just got tarte exposed blush, and it may replace benefit dallas as my go to fall/winter blush. It is such a perfect color!
I recently discovered Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes — no other blush lasts as long on my oily skin. Love them!
I love Hoola by Benefit!!!!!
I keep coming back to Nars, but also like Benefit Dandelion
My favorite blush is theBalm’s Hot Mama
When you asked about a museum, it reminded me of a trip I took to Sarasota Florida. I was just walking around in between meetings, it was the first time I had been there. And there was a beautiful old mansion that was being restored, in walking distance of my hotel and you could tour through it, and there was a museum on the grounds also. It turned out to be the home the first Great Gatsby movie was filmed in and the museum had items from Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey Circus and owners. I had no idea at the time, as they were restoring it. I found all of this out after I got back home and looked it up. It was a gorgeous museum where you could sit on benches and not just the artwork, but also the marble and woodworking of the building. I may not have all of it exactly right, it was years ago so anyone who lives there, please correct me. There was also a beautiful Christmas display. So it is very much worth the tour. If you are near there, it was worth a visit. I love to walk around towns I visit and find out of the way things. Hope to tour it again some day.
NARS make the best blush/bronzer!
It’s cold out!
I have a zombie painting on my wall

I love MAC’s mineral baked bronzers… every single day. <3
Last time I went to a museum was this past summer. I went to a museum called Winterthur in Delaware – it’s the former home of Henry Francis DuPont, and though there are amazing things to see inside, the grounds are free to walk on and are absolutely gorgeous. It’s my absolute favorite. In the spring it’s filled with cherry blossom trees and greenery everywhere. I went several times this spring/summer actually. It’s such a beautiful, quiet serene setting.
Nars is my new favorite. I recently bout the one night stand palette & am madly in love. 1st nars purchase & i’m hooked.

Hi!!! I cannot remember the last time I went to a museum. I’ve decided that one of my New Years resolutions will be to go to museums and used bookstores alone. To get over that anxiety issue I have with doing things alone.
Benefit make gorgeous and unique blushes! Love their concealers and brighteners as well.
2 weeks ago… I love museums! I went to MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago). It’s a fantastic museum – people reading this y’all ought to go!
I almost always prefer cream blushes to powders because i think they look more natural and sit on the skin better. That being said my favorite blushes at the moment are Stila’s Convertible Colors, I love lillium and peony. However, I am in love with my new NARS One Night Stand Cheek Palette so I have been cheating on my cream blushes lately.
My favorite blushes are from Estee Lauder – they just make my skin look better!
Beautiful is “mei li” in Mandarin 😀
The last time I went to a museum was in July! A friend and I went to the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco!

I do not have any paintings on my walls, only family pictures! 🙂
I have a awesome collection of Lalique Perfume Bottles! my favorite one is a spray of lily of the valley and I have put Chanel No. 5 in it! Such a feminine thing to collect.
Peachy-pink & pinky-pink shades of blush wake me up. Every time I try bronzed I look muddy – can’t get it right.
Hi, how are you doing?
Would you consider selling your Paul & Joe Pressed Powder kitty case? I really like it and believe it’s sold out :(((
Please let me know, I would appreciate it!
Thank you! 🙂
Hands down, Nars makes my favourite blushes!
My walls are filled with items that can only generously be called “art” but are definitely paintings – by my kids! Thanks for the giveaway!
I recently went to a museum after more than 15years. I actually had to assist my son’s teachers on their fieldtrip to the museum along with a couple of other moms.
Hi Karen!
Thank you for all your wonderful blog posts! Since I’ve subscribed, I have added almost a dozen eye/cheek palettes to my collection! But I love all of my palettes because I put my trust in your reviews and I know I’m getting a quality product 🙂 So, thanks again!!
Yea! Another give away!
My favorite thing in the world is my chihuahua Uno who is sleeping on my lap as I read your blog 🙂
My native language is English, but I’ve currently learning Turkish, which is ‘güzel’. Both it and the German ‘schön’ contain front round vowels, which are relatively rare in the languages of the world, making the words even cooler. Language is fun!
Vous est tres belle 😀 (belle = beautiful)
See, I feel a bit odd because I feel incomplete if I haven’t exercised each day. Especially during the holidays! Definitely not cold if I’m at the gym.
i love sephora!!!
How do you say “beautiful” in your first language? – BEAUTIFUL!
Most beautiful bottle of perfume you’ve ever seen? – Apart from the vintage glass from various vanities in timeless classic films, I’d have to say the Jean-Paul Gaultier perfume bottles shaped like a woman’s torso. So breathtaking!
Who makes your favorite blush/bronzer? – Tarte blushes (all), Too Faced bronzer, Buxom powder blush, Nyx stick blush!
Do you have any strange and unusual talents? – I can adjust and test ski bindings, and many other ski and snowboard-related skills! I guess that’s not that weird, but still, not tons of women are ski technicians 😛 Also, I’m really good at accents. Some people say they are, but I actually am (and therein lies the paradox, lol!)
i do not have any paintings on my walls
TOM FORD blushes are my absolute favourite blushes ever! =D Bronzer….Guerlain makes them best lol
I can read backwards.
My favorite blush is one from Physician’s Formula. I’ll be buying the exact same one when it completely runs out (right now, I can see pan.)
We have commissioned our friend who was an art major in college for a few pieces, and we ended up with a good bit of art from his senior portfolio because he didn’t have enough space for the canvases in his apartment!!
I Love Sephora but FREE Sephora is better!
It’s been far too long since I’ve visited a museum!
it is so cold i’ve been refusing to go out at night.
I’m pretty sure that the last time I went to the museum I was 16 years old… hmm. It’s been a while. I’m still in a phase where I’m finding new blushes, but my current daily is Smashbox Captivate from an old holiday collection.
I need to study
My current favorite blush is Benefit Bella Bamba.
My favorite blush at the moment is by Kat Von D 🙂
NARS makes my favourite blush…I think you can probably guess which one it is! 🙂 It is my most treasured makeup possession.
I used to be a Set Decorator in Hollywood and my first show that I decorated was “Roseanne”, so I love decorating and beautiful things, including what we use to beautify ourselves! Unfortunately, I became ill and am unable to work any longer. This makes me extremely unhappy as I loved my job! I am now in a wheelchair, but still love beautiful things! And that includes beauty outside AND inside! 😀
The last museum that I visited was the British Museum in London. It was amazing!
Sorry, I see you asked, “When was the last time you went to a museum?” So, the British Museum would be about a year ago. …But I just remembered that we went to an art museum this summer, so that would be about 4 months ago. I love going to museums.
I’m not sure it counts much as a talent, but I’m an ear wiggler! It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out, honestly. It definitely comes in handy when I’m too lazy to readjust my glasses; I just let my ear wiggles slide those puppies back up my face a little!
english is my first (and only) language so I say beautiful as beautiful. I have not been to a museum since i volunteered for my oldest son for a school field trip when he was in elementary school…been at least 10 or 11 years.
Nars is my fav blush and bronzer
I am currently living with my dad and his walls are covered in paintings from the 70s lol
I dont remember when was the last time i went to a museum

The most beautiful perfume bottles are antique (sometimes hand-blown) bottles with pump atomizers or the kind that has the top that you dab on your skin <3
In case anyone has very sensitive skin, i have begun using a line of cosmetics called “alima pure”. they are like bare minerals but they have way less harsh chemicals and iron oxides 😀
it finally snowed here. it’s bittersweet. hope weather’s nice where you are!
I just bought some perfume off of anthropologie for a friend, and it was such a cute bottle, it was the lollia mini relax.
I find the new mac brushes a interesting, but I don’t knw if I can see myself buying them. I love the marc Jacobs brushes!
I want to exercise but it’s far too cold to leave the house! It’s -7 degrees C in Vancouver right now 🙁
Hi, Karen!
I was getting ready to do some dusting around the house earlier. but then, I suddenly had cramps, so now, I’m just lounging around and reading thru blogs. Since I always visit yours, I think I should kill the time to enter your contest. Hope I do win, though. hahaha.
cheers to yah!
It has been years that I went to a museum.. gotta see some soon.. 😉
