I’ve been a little obsessed with purple lips lately (I think Radiant Orchid, Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year, is partly to blame).
Here I’m wearing Topshop’s $14 Lip Cream in Double Take, a glossy, pigmented purple lip cream.

I think there are more but I can’t be sure – I see purple and lilac everywhere and I must be stopped ! Sephora is going to have to start claiming me as a dependent on their taxes for all the time I spend shopping there…

MAC’s Venomous Villains Violetta did that to me in 2010. I went to MAC’s Venomous Villains (huge) event, and the makeup artist who did my makeup said, “I wouldn’t put this on just anyone, and you still might say it is too out there.” I said, “I am extremely adventurous with my makeup, try me.” His response, of course, was “I like you.” I loved it and bought it immediately! I am also very glad the shade was picked up in the Preferred Pinks palette. I still love purple-hued lipsticks and glosses!
