The Nordstrom over at the Village at Corte Madera mall recently revamped their beauty department, and by “recently,” I mean that it looks like they put the finishing touches on it in the last few days.
Now it’s set up with rows of shelves like a Sephora, which seems like a good idea to me. All of the products are easily accessible, and I saw several women trying things on while I was there.
The new Chanel section is HUGE! I swooned a li’l bit when I saw it because the testers were virtually untouched.
Imagine hundreds and hundreds of untouched, un-swatched pans…

Heaven! such a smart idea. I was in Barney’s in SF a couple of days ago, and the saleswomen don’t really let you browse and try things. They’re too busy with the ‘hard sell’. I hope this new display will spread beyond Corte Madre!
This looks like heaven!! I wish my local Chanel counters were this lavish! I would probably never leave lol. I hope this design spreads to other Nordstroms and other brands. It’s such a good idea
