Goodness, it’s raining cats and frogs here this morning, and it looks like it rained all night. I have absolutely no problems with that, mind you, because the rain makes everything greener.
What did you do last night? Did you see any movies, go out to dinner, play any games? El Hub and I were going to go out to dinner or something but opted for pasta at home and a rental instead.
Uh…I watched Catching Fire. Again. For the third time.
I know! But I just love that movie (and the first Hunger Games) so much.
As for Divergent, well, it didn’t really do anything for me. To each her own, though, ya know what I mean? That one just wasn’t my cup o’ tea.

The best BB cream I’ve tried is the Misha Perfect Cover. It comes in 5 shades so I can have one for winter, 23 (I’d call it light-medium), and one for summer 27 (medium to tan).

One day I would like a better storage system for my makeup. I look at vanity tables/mirror everyday on eBay and Amazon, but I have yet to find one that I love. Etsy has some great ones. One day!

Well, I lived in Europe most of my life and only moved to the States about 5 years ago :).
About 10 years ago, my husband and I went to Tahiti for 12 days. It was the most incredibly beautiful place I have ever seen. Prettier than a postcard 🙂

The best BB cream I have ever used has been from Kiehl’s. They make their sunscreen and BB cream as a super-liquid, and it goes on so nicely and stays on without messing up your makeup. My favorite stuff! 🙂

I’m not a big fan of BB cream. Most of the ones I’ve tried broke me out. The one that I liked the most was the Rimmel BB Cream. I tend to use tinted moisturizer more than BB cream but I’m interested in trying Benefit’s Big Easy .

How many times have I been overseas? GURL. After 21 years in the Navy, I lost count. If you only count trips lasting 2 weeks or more and done’ count Hawaii as overseas, I think it’s around 30 trips – including living in Panama for 3 years and the Philippines for 2 years. Also, some of the overseas visits (i.e. deployments) included a lot of different countries. If you want to see the world, the Navy really is the way to go.
So not happy with my makeup storage, but hopefully I can start working on it soon!
I’m on the lookout for a better nail polish storage system.

I am not so much into BB creams but Smashbox has an amazing CC cream that is perfect for summer. You get the same even look as if you´re wearing foundation but it is so much lighter. I highly recommend it.

I actually lived overseas in Germany. My father was in the military and we were stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany. While there I had the opportunity to travel to Venice, Italy and Austria.

I lived overseas for 7 years and even now my work takes me overseas fairly frequently, so I’ve lost count of the number of trips I’ve taken!
As for makeup-storage, so-so. I love the way I store my palettes, for example, but I want to find a more stylish way to store my lip products.

Describe your favorite cup or mug. A giant 20 oz mike from Monster’s Inc mug with stripes on the inside and the outside is just green with his big one eyeball and a smile. It’s a mug but it is perfect for iced drinks because of the size and was always snagged by my housemates whenever it was clean.

I’m currently in love with my makeup storage. I bought some mini plastic drawers, and there’s enough drawers for me to separate out my face products, eye products, lip products, even my brushes. I used to keep my makeup in a bag, and it was cramped and I couldn’t find anything. Now it’s all organized so I can find everything, and in the drawers, they’re all laid out, so I don’t forget about anything either. (:

I’m not thrilled with my current makeup organization system. I finally got a quasi-dressing table for my makeup, but I need to figure out the best/most functional way of organizing everything. However, this project will likely have to wait until the summer.
I need more make-up first and then I will have an organization system for them!

I am NOT happy with my make up storage system. I used to just put it all on my dresser and I had some tiny little drawers. That got out of hand so I got two sets of three drawers (so six total) from Michael’s. They’re working a lot better, but I’d still like to go all out with a vanity and places to store my brushes upright. The problem is I don’t have the room for a vanity, unless I get rid of my desk. I just live in an apartment!
So wanted to head to the Vacaville Outlets to check what was new at the OCC but the NorCal rain kept me local…boo!

My curreny makeup storage system is ridiculous! I have a big box from amazing that holds a bunch of smaller shipping boxes. A Wantable box for my shadows, a Wantable box for my primers, a Birchbox for my loose tools, a makeup bag full of lippies, a makeup bag for mascaras, a MAC box for foundation, a small Amazon box for deluxe samples and foils, a makeup bag of pencils, then all my palettes in the bottom and my makeup brush roll on top (probably some more bags and boxes, but I can’t remember them all!) I reallllly need to invest in some Rubbermaid drawers!

loving the nars sheer matte foundation as my daily base makeup now!!
My favorite BB cream isn’t technically a BB cream in the name, but by it’s definition I think it counts! It’s the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, which has SPF 30 and skin brightening properties. It’s got a good shade range, and my favorite part is the fact that it’s a solid medium coverage (but still light-weight). I’m not a fan of BB’s/CC’s/tinted moisturizers that have little to no coverage. This stuff is amazing! Plus for the price ($42) it comes with 1.9 floz, which when you think about it, is a good deal!
So instead of telling you about my favorite toothpaste, I thought I would tell you about my favorite mouthwash! lol. I’ve been using it a lot recently, it’s the Rembrandt Deeply White plus Peroxide; it comes in a short, stubby bottle. It’s amazing! It really helps to whiten your teeth!
My favorite mug is a Christmas one that has three angels on it.

Never enough makeup storage ! Like any insane beauty nerd who answers the question “How much makeup do you need ?” with the answer “Well, how much is there…?” I have 2 rolling carts, a la giant Sears tool boxes, probably 20 makeup cases for toting small amounts, and a silver hard-sided travel trunk filled to the brim with all things MAC, Dior, UD, Marc Jacobs, YSL, Stila, Benefit, and on and on…

Depends on what you mean by “overseas.” I’ve been to Mexico many times, but that’s just a border crossing away! I have been to Venezuela twice, but technically there’s only a canal between here and there. I’ve just never left the Americas, to my dismay.

I don’t think I’ll ever be happy about my makeup storage! I resorted to solely storing it in a makeup train-case because 90% of the time I’m doing others’ makeup and my own somewhere other than my house and it was becoming too much of a hassle to pack that thing and empty it out. My essentials just stay on my vanity and in a makeup bag.
Today I am going to Sephora to take advantage of the 15% off to get a few wish list items,and then to visit my friends and their new baby.
I studied abroad in Germany during college, and this Saturday I’m going to the Philippines for a week with my brother… to meet my future sister-in-law. Gulp!

I just overhauled my make-up storage system from two bags and a clear plastic case to one small bag for my work look (I will rotate out products on a weekly basis)and a six-drawer plastic case. I LOVE it now. So much easier to find things now that everything is well organized according to type of product!
i recently tried this toothpaste when I was last at my parents house from a brand called dabur. I can’t put my finger on the taste (not minty) and I feel weird saying this but its definitely become my favourite toothpaste

I went overseas as a kid, my mom is German and when I was 9 she took me to Germany. Back then flying wasn’t bad, these days there is NO way I could fly to Europe in coach. I am not happy with my makeup storage, it’s drawers. I would prefer some type of counter top organizer. Also, I need brushes, way more brushes. And if I win this gift card I’m going to buy Lancome foundation and some brushes.

Watching “Noah” with fam today,as a reward for finishing our walk in closet yesterday (we bought 400 hangers and It wasn’t enough lol) , got a haul of storage bins at walmart for my mac make up haul (cheapo!).
I love the Smashbox BB cream. It’s not great coverage but it’s a really great base under powder or mineral foundation.
We just painted our entire downstairs and I love 65% of it, not sure about the den color it will have to grow on me.
I like the Maybelline BB cream (and it’s the only one I’ve tried).
I’m pretty excited because I’m going to get the chance to go to Korea for my work. Which is pretty cool, not only because I’ve never been there before, but also because hello, oppurtunity to check out all the awesome beauty products!

Two of the questions are related for me: my favorite mug is a Hello Kitty mug I keep in the bathroom. It holds my makeup brushes and such, and I am not happy with my storage system because the rest of my stuff is just stuck in a drawer haphazard.
The best BB Cream that I’ve tried is the Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm. I’ve tried several BB creams, but none of them have compared to the Too Faced one so far. The only drawback is that the shade range isn’t too great.
Today I would love to go to the library. I been teaching myself to knit and I think I finally upgraded to leaning how with two colors I’m wanting to get a book so it can show me how. I have two babies soon to be born into the family and I would love to be able to make them both a blanket.
I haven’t been overseas to Europe in many years, but I was formerly an airline employee back in the day when it was FUN and there were a lot of empty seats. I would go to Asia on shopping trips for 4 days total, for 2 days to Honolulu, and 4 days total to Buenos Aires, which is a fantastic city to party and shop and eat.
Ahh, those were the days!
These days, the packed small economy class seats on long trips are not appealing to me at all.
The best toothpaste in my opinion is Crest. I have been using Crest since I was a little kid, and I’m 47 now. My favorite one is the “Whitening Plus Scope.” My favorite mug is one with an animated cat on it. It says “Have A Purrfect Day.” The handle on it, is in the shape of a cat’s tail. I love it!! It was given to me by a coworker way back in 1990. Ok, and one more detail for good measure. My favorite coffee shop is Starbucks. It’s the best!!

I’ve been overseas quite a bit! My mother is English, so I lived in England for a while and went to school there. My father was in the military so we were stationed in Germany as well. My husband also was in the military so we lived in Germany for over 6 years (2 different times). Certainly have a great appreciation for the United States and foreign cultures! Nothing like home tho!!

i set up the top drawer of my closet as my vanity and bought a bunch of the clear acrylic muji drawers as my makeup storage. pricey, but WELL WORTH IT. everything is so organized and i can see through the fronts of the drawers, so quick access! it makes me so happy to feel so organized. 🙂

I’ve been overseas five times: four trips to Israel and one to the UK. With my very limited French skills, I feel like my trips to Montreal almost qualify!
My current toothpaste is Tom’s Fennel toothpaste. I prefer cinnamon toothpaste, but I realized it was making my lips peel like crazy. But I hate mint, so that’s pretty limiting.

I have all my makeup essentials stored in two Muji acrylic cases, but the rest of it is sitting sadly and lonely in cardboard boxes. Makeup hoarder? Maybe. But I just moved and lost custody of my previous setup.
I’m a little sad because my summer plans got canceled, but I might get to go to Disneyland because of it so that’s good.
Hey Karen! Hope you had a good weekend! My makeup storage system is a work in progress. I can’t say I’m really happy with it but its not horrible. Any suggestions for storage? How do you keep everything organized? I have what my husband would argue is too much of everything and keeping it all straight so I don’t end up with dupes or tons of similar shades is a bit tricky…especially with lip products. Any advice?

My current makeup storage could use a little work! Currently, I have a very generous shabby chic vanity with lots of drawers, and some acrylic organizers in the largest drawer. The side drawers are smaller, but not being utilized the best way they could be. I think I would like to organize them better, and perhaps get a small set of acrylic drawers for excess products that are making me disorganized and jumbled! I have too many samples all over the place!
My makeup organization set up is pretty good, but I would love to glam it up a little bit and move it into a different room.

My form of storing my makeup….exists? I do have a way of storing it all, but I usually wind up sleeping in so most of my makeup is sprawled across my dresser lol. It’s a mess but it works as long as I can find what I need. I like to call it “organized chaos”.

I love my current makeup storage system. I wanted to use something cute and decorative so I bought a small jewelry dresser (that fits on my desk) and now I keep my makeup in it that I used daily.
The best toothpaste is the Sensodyne. It’s for sensitive teeth and I love it <3
Today…today is the day I will be out looking for a new job. Just last night I sadly got fired from by job due to a just two weeks ago i had totaled my car and was not abke to go back to work right away. I was lucky to only have broken bones in my back, fractured ribs, collapsed lungs, and a fractured shoulder. I’m not really sure where to start but hopefully will find my way.
I need to use a BB/CC/TM or foundation that gets all its sunscreen power from zinc and titanium rather than chemical sunscreens, and I like one that matches my skin tone well and blends well with concealer or foundation for where I need more coverage. Too Faced makes a nice one, but the finish is too dewy for me to wear in summer, when my skin is oily. Tarte’s BB cream seems thick in texture to me, and too matte, so I mix it with their TM, which seems a bit too sheer/dewy; I mix a different color from each and come out with something that looks good and is amazingly durable (my makeup has to be able to last through at least some rain and sweat). The next one I want to try is the CC cream that IT cosmetics makes. I swatched the light shade last week and it’s the closest match to my own skin tone that I’ve ever seen in a BB/CC cream.
The BEST CC cream is from It Cosmetics….full coverage yet light weight of a tinted moisturizer, it’s amazing!!

The best toothpaste is Crest Glamorous White Luxe. It is probably the only toothpaste I’ve bought twice in a row. It was a recommendation from a dude I watch on YouTube. It’s awesome!
You know, I do like BB cream, but I’ve found myself using it mostly as a backup primer, which probably defeats the purpose of the stuff.

I don’t need a favourite park when the area that I live in is advertised as being the waterfall capital of the world! I am not kidding, check out Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and you won’t be disappointed. The best part is that all of the waterfalls are accessible from public trails so they are FREE! It is worth a roadtrip just to experience the natural beauty 🙂

I do like my current makeup organizing system, which is clear plastic pull-out drawers in a stack, which you can get at Walmart in the closet/organization section. Problem is, my makeup collection keeps expanding but unfortunately the drawers don’t! lol.

I just recently bought the Urban Decay Naked 3 and I’m really loving it. I have 1 & 2 but I think this new one is my favorite.
Since I’m on a 3 g iPhone I couldn’t get the pin entry until you told me what to do thanks! I am a weird black/ Native American color. I use a combo of smashbox deep which looks like mud on my face by itself, L’Oreal deep which is almost my color and smashbox photo finish clear and mix. Before I put on those bb and cc’s I use a little miracle blur and it works great.

I like Lumene’s BB cream. As for coffee, Caffe Vita has incredibly smooth coffee.
