Looking for a reason to visit Nordstrom next month? How about this: July 1. That’s when the NARS Domination Cheek Palette launches, one of three limited edition summer 2014 gift sets (for giving to others…or yourself) coming exclusively to Nordstrom.
The NARS summer 2014 gift sets include…
- Uninhibited ($52): A trio with Dolce Vita Lipstick, Dolce Vita Lip Gloss and a limited edition Dolce Vita Nail Polish presented in a black lacquered box
- Climax ($52): A trio with Schiap Lipstick, Lip Gloss and Nail Polish (the Lip Gloss and Polish are limited edition) in a pink lacquered box
- Domination ($49): A four-pan cheek palette with Orgasm, Laguna and Mistinguette Blush, and Devotee Highlighting Blush
A pretty palette … but kind of predictable, yeah? Devotee is a shade I’d love to get my hands on, though. I’m a huge fan of Albatross.

I guess I can understand their thinking of “why mess with a good thing” but the redundancy is killing me!
I have two minis of Laguna and I have Deep Throat which is similar to Orgasm so at this rate I will never be able to buy one of these palettes. It’s so sad! Does a bronzer have to be included in a cheek palette? Apparently NARS thinks so.
Until NARS actually starts branching out and putting different colors into palettes, they’re alienating a good chunk of their fan base who is either sick to death of Orgasm/Laguna, or has it in multiple palettes already.
C’mon Nars. Something different!

LOL love the spirit fingers reference! I can’t wait for these to pop up online. I’ve been eyeing Schiap for a while now so I’m totally grabbing the set! I probably would have caved and hauled the palette too if the Orgasm and Laguna weren’t in there. I’m so over both of them!
Another orgasm/laguna duo, really? People obviously only need ONE of each blush color.
I would love to see Nars do a matte palette!

I think it’s a really nice palette for someone starting out with NARS’ face products – you get the ‘classics’ so to speak. I can see how it might not set the already-NARS-loving consumer aflame, hoever! 😛

The blush palette doesnt interest me much since I have all the shades listed but Uninhibited sure does. I love Dolce vita and it would be gorgeous if they had included the blush as well in the set. A good gifting set!
Lovely palette! Though I think the Orgasm-Laguna pairing has been done to death! I would love to check out Climax gift set!
Seems too similar to some of the others. I like Orgasm but I don’t need 800 pans of it.
The palette is so prettyy.. and as I am NARS virgin.. I can get away with all of at them.. 😛
