Cream shadows are cool. They’re like secret little weapons…
You can make your eye looks more interesting by giving them dimension using cream shadows.
Just apply a cream shadow in a color that’s relevant to your look on your lid, then layer a complementary powder eyeshadow on top.
The cream shadow cranks everything up! — like when Beyonce’s wind machine kicks in — so the area where you used the cream shadow looks more intense than the surrounding color. 🙂
STORM UPDATE (NOVATO, CA)
Tabs wanted me to let you know that he made it through the night, sans any storm-related emergencies, without having to wake up his humans. He spent the evening staring out the windows at the hillside, looking for kitties trapped in the storm, and doing what he does best — plotting his takeover of the world’s gravy supply.

I like that tip about the cream eyeshadow but my problem is that sometimes when I do it the eyelid looks really wrinkly when I apply a powder eyeshadow on top of it…

Try using less cream shadow and buffing it out first with a fluffy blending brush. That should help smooth everything out!

Ha ha, thanks Ladies. I don’t think I am using too much shadow but maybe I am not blending it enough..?
Go right in immediately right after you apply with a blending brush. That way you can thin it out ASAP. Also you might want to try something uber creamy that’s easy to blend out, like NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
Hmmm, maybe use less cream shadow? Blend it in well? Wait for it to fully dry?
A lot of silicone causes the wrinkly look so proceed with caution.

Hey, try Whopping Willow on the lid and into the crease. Bobbi Brown Smokey Topaz cream eye shadow from crease to brow bone. Chanel Epatant on lid & crease. And then for the grand finale — MAC Club on the outer edge of the crease!

It is cold, windy and pouring with rain today, so after a quick walk with the Little Bean (safe and sound in her pram), I was completely soaked and decided to proceed with a no-make-up day, as the one I had applied earlier was beyond saving.
Now it is a blanket, hot tea and YT for the rest of the evening.

Well, as I have seen all of Agatas, I had to turn to Pixiwoo. And Vivianna does Makeup, and Lily Pebbles and A Model Recommends. As you do.
Super obsessed with the Pixiwoo sisters. I want to hang out with them just to listen to their accents, LOL.
They were some of the first YTers I watched, and pretty much the only ones I never got bored of.
Despite all those years, they still have new content.
Doing one of their makeup courses is something I would love to do someday!
Glad to hear you’re “weathering” the storm! I adore both of your glam looks. I use cream shadows all the time because I have such dry eyelids, but I’ve never used them for layering with powders and to add dimension. Great tip! I’ll try it 🙂
