Paul & Joe: Hello, miss. Would you like an eyeshadow with your caffè latte?
Me: YES, PLEASE. And can you make that a decaf? (The latte, not the eyeshadow.) OOH! And could you please draw a swirl on top of the foam for me?
Paul & Joe: Sure. 🙂 We got’chu, boo.
These two new $28 Paul & Joe Eye Color CS powder eyeshadow singles are certainly kicking my coffee cravings into high gear (I’ve been trying to stick to decaf for the past few weeks…bluh). Inspired by creamy caffè latte colors and espresso shades, they have a soft sheen and a light, airy texture drool-inducingly like warm and frothy coffee shop beverages.
Mmm, coffee…
Even the packaging looks like a little latte cup. See the mini eyeshadow sponge applicator “spoon”? (AWW!)

Pigment-wise, sweet golden Caramel Drizzle 099 and milky milk chocolatey beige Cafe Macchiato 097, the two I’ve tried of the three that are new for fall, are probably more like decaf non-fat lattes than triple shots of espresso, meaning that they’re kind of sheer, but Paul & Joe loves sheer veils of color on the eyes.
And these shadows definitely do have that mellow, casual vibe that Paul & Joe likes.

Because they’re sheer, cute and well made (and they last up to six hours on my combo dry/oily lids), I think they’d be perfect for someone just dipping their toes into the makeup waters, like a tween or teen experimenting for the first time. Or, for someone who likes hella cute packaging and sheer lid colors.
PRICE: Three new shades for fall, $28 each
AVAILABILITY: Limited edition and coming August 2015 to Paul & Joe counters and online

Paul & Joe packaging is ALWAYS so awesome!
So cute, but if it’s sheer I’d give it a pass. $28.00 is too much for a sheer eyeshadow.
These are so adorable, they almost rank up there with the kitty lipsticks! I’ve never heard of this brand before, are they online only?
This company always slays me with the packaging. One of these days I won’t be able to resist. The eye colors are so pretty, too.
Coffee and makeup? My two favorite things in the world! These are really really cute!
I wish we could go for a latte! I would get decaf of course and have to live through your buzz. lol
Me too! Maybe I’d switch to decaf too because I bet our conversation would be long! I’d take a hazelnut latte 🙂
I really like Cafe Macchiato.
So do I! 🙂
Happy Thursday, Chris.
Cute indeed, zomg! I’m willing to past the sheerness, really, it’s just so pretty!
Yes! Aren’t the swirls the cutest?
The tea mug and saucer! OMG THE TEA MUG AND SAUCER! Where can I get one? NEEEEEED
Hi Jessica,
It’s by Roy Kirkham and the design is called Cats Whiskers. I wish I had a full set! I found this lone cup and saucer from Homegoods.
It’s really pretty on you. I love how much thought they put into their packaging! I hate those sponge applicators but as a “spoon” it’s adorable 🙂
Hi Indya,
I feel the same way! It also makes me crave a latte, om nom nom!
I love sheer lids – so pretty. I have to try this. I always reach out for my sheer cream colors. They look fabulous on you. What lippie and blush are you wearing – beautiful combo.
Thank you Cherie! I’m wearing Paul & Joe Lipstick CS in Coffee Cherry 094 on my lips, and on my cheeks that’s MAC Give Me Sun Mineralize Skinfinish (bronzer) and MAC Springsheen Blush. Let me know if you have any questions about the products. Happy to help!
With Paul & Joe, I feel like it doesn’t even matter what’s in the package, they’re all so darned cute! 🙂 In this case, the colors are quite pretty, though. And, even though they’re sheer, they still look really nice on you.
I totally feel you. Their style is so distinct and well just super pretty! 🙂
I love the packaging. Owls and birds are awesome!
Way to sheer for me, but the packaging is just too cute. They do this every time.
Coffee & owls?? Yes please!! I prefer more sheer eyeshadows so I can wear bolder eyeliner. I don’t usually care about LE items but I would totally splurge on the macchiato/owl…maybe as an early birthday present to myself…
Über cute but way out of my budget. For that price, I expect insanely pigmented eye shadows that last really long and won’t crease on the oiliest of lids.
Can I just say how friggin’ cute their makeup is?! Like, I’d never wear any of it. I’d just collect it & put it on display with the fine China. Anyone else feel this way? No? Just me? Lol…
Very cute.
the packaging is so cute!
