It’s gonna be a purple paw weekend! I’m wearing two of the polishes from the new MAC MACnificent Me! collection, which arrives online September 21 on the MAC website and at stores and counters October 1 through November 12.
The lighter purple is called Simply Swinging, and the darker one is Blog This! — a name that I totally love. 🙂 I’m wearing two layers of each.
With MAC nail polishes, I find that I really need to wear them with a base and top coat; otherwise, they’re chip city within a day.
I used Sally Hansen’s Green Tea Bamboo as the base coat with OPI’s Top Coat on top, and so far, so good! I’ve only had the mani two days, but I haven’t seen a chip yet.

Oooh! I like those two colors, especially Simply Swinging. But only a day before chipping? Sigh.
Wearing bare nails this weekend. Have had too much on my plate to even think about nail color or makeup. I’ve just been doing skincare and sunblock this past week. Things are starting to look less crazy, so maybe this week will be better.
Just removed my chipped polish and am still indecisive about what to try next. Maybe Chanel “Cinema”?
Oh, I love that combo! And I am wearing a classic plum nail polish (gels, got it done in the salon, so don’t know the name).
These are both gorgeous shades. Simply Swinging look much prettier and mroe complex on the nails than in the bottle. Blog this is such a great, vampy shade.

I’m not a fan of darker finger nails, but I really love the lighter lilac, Simply Swinging .. 🙂 I usually do dark toes though 🙂
