Oh, hell no, girl! That would be the worst idea EVER, because I can’t even trust myself to trim my own side-swept bangs, LOL! If I were to give somebody else a full-on haircut, that poor person would most likely end up with the most terrible bowl cut the world has ever seen. It would be about as visually pleasing as zombie road kill.
But that’s just me. 🙂 Assuming you don’t do it already, do you think you could cut someone else’s hair?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Speaking of zombies #thewalkingdead, anybody else catch the season premiere of The Walking Dead the other night?

oh, good lord. I’ve done this before, and the results.. ugh. Just no. This is NOT in my wheelhouse. I’ve cut my husband’s hair before, and that gets snippy in every sense of the word. Plus I’m just not good at it. I’ve cut my own hair several times (WHY??), and it NEVER LOOKS GOOD. It usually ends up looking a little accidental.
These days, since I have pixie-short hair, I’ll trim my “sideburns” (is that what you call the hair in front of your ears..?) if they look uneven to me – but other than that, I leave it to the professionals.
I cut my own hair actually!
I don’t think I would trust myself to cut someone else’s just because I’d be afraid they wouldn’t like it. If I don’t like what I cut for my hair, at least I have no one to blame but myself! and I save a ton of money.
No, I don’t think I could cut someone else’s hair! I’d be too scared! It’s not like makeup that you can quickly remove when something goes wrong…
Speaking of bangs, I am thinking of cutting my bangs when I get my next haircut. But I will just go for side swept bangs, nothing too crazy!
I guess technically I could but I probably wouldn’t do a very good job at it, haha.
If it were just a trim straight across, I could cut shoulder length (or longer) hair. I cut my own hair last summer to my shoulders. It looked just fine.
Anything else, hair models be warned. 😛
Obviously not a good idea since I can’t even do a blow dry to myself. But, sometimes my hubby decides to trim his own hair with the clipper he usually uses for his beard, and I’ve had to save the day a few times when things went really wrong… I didn’t do a great job but at least he could go out in public!
Nope and wouldn’t even try. On the other hand, my sister cuts her husbands hair all the time and it looks good. So what brought that up, anyway? Just wondering…
I have cut fur clumps off my cat’s butt, does that count?
Only if you turned it into a lion cut, haha!
RICK LOVES JESSIE!!! <3 <3 <3
Nope. I don’t think I’d be able to cut someone else’s hair (or even my own).
Ooh at The Walking Dead. Liked it. I’m looking forward to next week, which seems to have more Spencer who I hope is different than his comic book counterpart.
Me too. I hope that Glen stays around for this season! It never pays to be the show’s moral compass.
Back when my husband was doing his residency and didn’t have time to make it to the barbers I used to cut his hair all the time. I did just as good a job as the barbers, and I always remind him of that , lol . I cut my bangs and sometimes trim my split ends.In another world I could have been a hairdresser. I enjoyed TWD premier , but I got a little confused when they kept switching from the past to present. I’ll probably go back and look at it again to get a better understanding.
Yeah, the black and white versus the color helped, but I think the timelines were sliced in a way that was hard to follow. Who do you think is sounding the horn? I think it’s one of the Wolves.
Back in college the guy who lived around the corner from me was complaining he needed a haircut before he went home at the end of the semester but it was too expensive. So I offered to cut his hair. (No I had never cut anyone’s hair before that.) He liked the cut and word got out that I cut his hair so I did a few others, too. When we first got married I used to cut the Dear Husband’s hair, too. To save a few hard earned $$$. Once he got more successful he decided it was easier and much quicker to go to a barber, since it takes me a while to cut it nicely.
Wow, you have a natural gift! Wish I had that… I could trim my bangs more often, LOL!
Let me be clear. I would never cut my own hair. Lol. I’m not that good. And it’s been many, many, many years since I’ve cut anyone’s hair.
Haha I’ve already tried on my brother a few years back. He ended up with what his friends called “a girl haircut” lol
So no, even if I were armed with the right implements (nice sheers & clips to section off), & watched 20 DIY YT vids, I still don’t think I’d be able to…?
* it is a formidable skill to have though!
I soooooo wish I could cut muh own hurrr!
~Happy Tuesday K, BG, T, & el H!
Oh gosh, so now of course I need to know what your brother’s hair ended up looking like, LOL!
I haven’t cut anyone’s hair but I did color someone’s hair and it was a sad disaster.
Coloring hair is REALLY difficult, which is why I stopped doing it on myself. Now that I think about it, I did someone’s highlights once in high school and they turned out OK!
My friend wanted blond highlights and I gave them orange highlights instead 🙁
OH NOOOOO! What color was her base? Was her hair already colored?
Her hair was black and had never been colored…Needless to say I’ve never colored anyone’s hair after that.
Yeah, to go from black to blonde is tough. I hope you called the hotline on the back of the box! From what I hear they’re very helpful over the phone with boo-boos.
I have done it already 😀 Didn’t turn out great, but, I definitely got the job done!
Hey at least you can get it done!
I watched the Walking Dead, was disappointed, thought it would be a lot more exciting but it really wasn’t! Hard to follow with the constant back and forth going on. Oh well, next week hopefully will be better!
The season opener when they escape Terminus is my favorite one so far. That one was hard to top!
Other than a little trimming, I’ve never cut someone’s hair. I don’t think I could pull off anything resembling a style.
Ummm…. aside from probably giving my brother a “trim” when we were babies, definitely not! When I had bangs (which I’ll be getting again soon I think!) I gave myself VERY CAREFUL tiny little trims, but even then I tried to avoid it.
Nope! My husband cuts his own hair though, and I help him find areas he misses.
I actually did cut my sister’s hair for a while, as well as my own, when we were both teenagers. We both had long straight bangs and were simply too lazy and too stingy to go for a professional cut every 4-6 weeks. But it was only a simple straight trim. I would never attempt to do anything more complicated like layers. The outcome would probably be disastrous.
I don’t dare do that. I am so scared.
I cut my own bangs, but they are straight so there isn’t much you can do wrong, and I cut Little Beans hair. But as it is a mop of curls anyway that always looks unkempt, I don’t worry about it being too perfect. She is only 19 months after all.
Other than that, I wouldn’t dare touch anyones hair, not if they are supposed to leave the house anytime soon (read next six months).
I know for a fact that I can’t. My poor boys were the victims (once) when they were very little. Now, color? That’s a different story. I can totally do that! 🙂
PS Definitely caught TWD. I am so happy it’s back after suffering through Fear TWD.
Same boat my friend, same boat. I literally have to say a prayer before trimming my fringe.I tried trimming my own hair once and it was good BUT I would never cut or trim anyone’s hair unless they want to go bald LOL! Thank goodness my Aunt is a hairdresser! xx
Hmmm, I could do it but I won’t be responsible for any bad or unfortunate results
