I last skied last December at Cairngorm in Scotland. Skiing at home is largely dodging rocks and ice, but it’s fun!!

I typically don’t wear eyeliner everyday, brow gel, or highlighter on a daily basis (work-wise), but I’ll usually go all out for nicer occasions! 😀

I never use lipgloss (I don’t like glossy lips! Give me matte or satin!), tinted moisturizer (I just have never bought one, idk why!), or bronzer. I am just way too pale!

Hi! I last wore blue eyeshadow on Sunday, to support the Broncos in the Super Bowl! But then I also wore it Tursday to an 80’s party. So I’m all over the blue eyeshadow this week! (Or its all over me. Lol.)

I was a kid of the 80s and blue eye-shadow was the coolest thing ever. I had this baby blue shadow my grandma had bought me and I always wore it while playing dress up , I thought it made me look so beautiful!
I was 8 years though so I wasn’t allowed to wear it out of the house,which probably was a good thing.
Now any shade of blue eye makeup always reminds me of that so I don’t wear it, it all feels too 80s flashabck, even navy

I never wear foundation, concealer and powder. I really like wearing a lot of eye and lip make up but i’m not one to even use face make up, except for blush and bronzer. My skin needs to breath, otherwise I break out so i’m lucky I guess.
Hey Karen! I totally love bronzers but I am not confident of the right shade for me. I am probably a little bit deeper than your skinshade. I am not NC42 and not NC45(too orange) either. Can you please recommend a good matte bronzer and a shimmer bronzer (Nars, Too Faced or Mac) as well as a sheer foundation/tinted moisturizer with shade names that I can explore?

For the longest time I never wore mascara because I have the straightest and chubbiest lashes so I always felt like it was a lost cause. I’ve changed my ways! I can’t go without it now.

I’m an Irish dance teacher, so the last time I listened to live music was at a competition last weekend. All competitions have live musicians, something I love about Irish dance!
I never wear face primer. The ones I’ve tried break me out, probably due to silcones/dimethicone. I have never even tried lip primer! And right now I never wear color correcting concealers, but I’m eyeing some at Sephora, so maybe I will start!

I had my girl’s bassinet right next to our bed at first. That way when she needed to be fed in the middle of the night Dear Husband could help me get up (had a C-section and moving around was hard at first) and then hand her to me to be fed. A lot of people co-sleep with baby in bed with them, but we decided that just wouldn’t work for us. The first time she slept through the night I woke up with sun streaming through the windows and my immediate reaction was that she died during the night, because my breasts were extremely full of milk. I had to express a little milk just so that she could latch on that morning. After that night we moved her into the room that was her nursery. So try a few things out, then decide what works for you and politely ignore what anyone else is telling you to do. Including me, lol.
I think the last time I wore blue eyeshadow was in middle school. Or some other time for a dance performance, but never just because. But I just got the Urban Spectrum palette for Valentine’s day and I CAN’T WAIT to play with the blues and greens!!!

I live in a ski resort town and I don’t ski. Lol! I don’t even like winter! Lucky for me it’s been super warm this winter and we have hardly any snow in town. The snow on the ski hills is apparently great right now though so if anyone is looking for a ski vacation head to the Canadian Rockies. 🙂

Lately I’ve been wearing a really rich, deep navy blue right on the lash line instead of eyeliner, I tried it one day and it’s just been working out so well!
I never wear foundation (unless I’m experiencing major skin issues). I never curl my lashes (I think I’ve tried it twice in my entire life). I never wear fake eye lashes (though I do want to try eyelash extension).
I did a pale blue eye shadow with gold and a cat eye a few year ago. It sounds weird, but it looked pretty cool and mod.

My favorite Valentines candy is dark chocolate – preferably Ghiradelli. Nestle, Hershey and Godiva use child labor to harvest cocoa. I choose to boycott any chocolate supplier who refuses to certify their products as free of coercive labor practices, child labor, and human trafficking.

The last live concert I went to was Florence and the Machine at the Hollywood Bowl.
Just think next year you will be dressing your sweet pea up in hearts and flowers. I had the bassinet right next to our bed for easy feeding. And as to blue eye shadow I always think of Princess Diana and her makeup disaster on that televised interview.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I love candy, so Valentine’s is one of my favorite holidays. My favorite Valentine’s Day candy is made by See’s Candy. It’s their heart-shaped chewy red hots, super cinnamon-y and very cute. Sadly they are sold only once a year and are very popular, they sell out very quickly and I haven’t been able to catch them for years. Boo. Still a favorite tho.

I don’t think I’ve ever gone full on blue eyeshadow, but I did recently smudge the blue MUFE Aqua Matic under my water line and over my lash line paired with a deep red lip to mimic the look Mario Dedivanovic did on KKW for their makeup demos! I never wear bronzer. I tried it once and it looked like spots of dirt caked on my face. So either I am too fair skinned or I totally put it on wrong, I never tried again. I never wear foundation but I wear tinted moisturizer. I never wear lip liner, maybe I’ve been lucky so far that I don’t have many fine lines around my mouth so lipstick doesn’t bleed without it, so I don’t see the point of that extra step for me.

I’m still a bit mad cause I ordered makeup ( handmade) and for a second time I didn’t get it, The first time the girl sent me a replacement wich I got now I was so excited to get it and is lost again, she offered a replacement but I think is not fair for her. Somebody at the post office is losing my stuff or stealing it. One time ok second time is suspicious.
I really enjoy milk and white chocolate. I need to eat the chocolate early in the day or the caffeine and sugar keep me up at night.
I am excited to get tickets to see Pentatonix in April and am taking my friend, daughter and her boyfriend. We love the A cappella sound of the group and they all seem like nice people.

I was at a Florence & The Machines concert last December in Munich. It was a really great show and Florence was nice and nearly approachable. Much much better than 3 years ago in Frankfurt where the stage setting was really nice but she seemed to be nearly arrogant.

I did put $1 in a banjo case in Philadelphia’s Suburban Station last month, though — there was a guy playing great banjo while we waited for trains in a crowded terminal at rush hour, and it made the wait so much more pleasant 🙂

Three types of makeup I never wear would be contour, highlight and under eye concealer. I just don’t have the time to contour and highlight but when I do, I love it, and as for under eye concealer, I just get a little lazy in the morning and just take some foundation under there.

I never wore eyeshadow when I was younger (high school in the 80’s). I have a pretty navy shade in a palette but haven’t gotten around to using it. I seldom wear lip gloss. At least not the way they intend. I like the Dior lip maximizer, and use it as a treatment in the morning. I also have a couple of Buxom lip plumper creams, and I put them on as a pre-treatment that matches my lipstick. The majority of the time, I just keep the Dior in my purse. I’m more of a lipstick girl. It should do the job or they didn’t do a good job formulating the color.

Happy Saturday! Three types of makeup I never wear are: stick foundation, lip primer, and glitter.
Also, my favorite type of Valentine’s candy is white chocolate stars from Godiva. They’re amazing.
I wear blue eyeshadow every now and then. But not bright blue or baby blue. Just navy blue and I apply it very sparingly.
The makeup I wear the least often is mascara. My lashes are so short, mascara doesn’t make much difference.
I never wear bronzer or contouring products, they just look ridiculous on me.
My favorite candy for Valentine’s Day are cinnamon red hots, which are becoming more difficult to find every year. I also like the chewy Brach’s peppermint heart taffies. And the sugar coated cinnamon bears. And chocolate truffles and chocolate covered strawberries and orange slices.

Just had my 75th birthday, and Sephora is my favorite store. With the wonderful variety of skin care, newest products, and friendly service, my skin is still lovely and with my light touch and love of cosmetics most people don’t believe my age. Women don’t fall off a cliff at 50. We still enjoy fashion, makeup, and looking and staying young at heart.
Wow, well I was at a wonderful dinner in the local botanical garden, and they had two singers from the opera show up – it was fantastic! Teared up immediately…listening to live music does that to me, especially vocals. What a wonderful night!

The makeup items I never wear are liquid eyeliner, liquid lipstick and fake eyelashes. I’ve never mastered liquid eyeliner and don’s see the need since I’m not into large wings. Liquid lipstick seems like it would just dry the crap out of my lips, and lashes are too much work for me and I don’t need them for the everyday looks I go for.
I have never been able to make blue eyeshadow work on me. I did, however, have a perfect dark shade of navy applied by a Nars MUA along with a really pretty sparkly champagne color that looked BOMB. Haven’t been able to recreate it myself, though.
My favorite Valentine’s Day candy are those delicious sour gummy lips! They’re so good and the pink and red kisses are perfectly themed for the holiday. Hope yours is great!

The last time I listened to live music was back in October when I saw Ricky Martin in concert. I’d never seen him perform live before then; he’s FANTASTIC! I shook my bon-bon & sang my heart out (in English & Spanish) with the best of them.

Something to consider for BG’s baths: it’s much easier to do them at the sink if you’re kitchen set up allows for it. Much easier on your back! Just make sure to set everything up within arms reach (one handed!) before you start.

The last time I saw live music was when I went to visit Broadway in NYC within the past month. I saw both Disney’s Aladdin: The Musical and Allegiance (George Takei’s musical). It was kind of funny actually because Lea Salonga stars in Allegiance and she was the singing voice in the original Aladdin animated movie…..everyone was so talented and the live singing and musical orchestration were such nice treats for me…..Happy Valentines Day!

Hmm…the only primer I ever use is eyeshadow, so I guess no lip or face primers. I never use lip pencils (dry!) or contour either, really. I also love the look of liquid eyeliner, but cannot do it myself, and I never really use liquid lipsticks, either.

I never wear any mascara which is not black, any other colors are a NO GO! Tried when I was a teen but instead of being a fun touch of color it’s too weird on me!
I never wear BB cream because for some reason there is NO COLOR or brand on this planet or which looks natural on me. It’s either pasty white alien or beach burned Barbie and I have tried A LOT of them. I love the idea just hasn’t worked out for me.
Lastly,
I never wear lip liner, I wear the clear outter lip lock penicl and it works like a charm!

My last was seeing Luke James, an R&B singer in concert at SOB’s in NYC this prior summer. SOB’s is an insititution, and he’s just fine and super talented.

Hmmm, the last rumor I heard turned out to be true, and shows how much of a Harry Potter geek I actually am. J.K. Rolling is actually releasing the script for the stage play of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in book form and I’m so excited!!!

Eyeliner, lashes and lip stains. The first two cause I’m challenged in the application department, not for lack of desire to. The last because I haven’t found a formula I like that doesn’t make my lips feel like death.

Haven’t done either. Both seem like a very good way to break a leg for an uncoordinated person like myself, so I have been too chicken but I do want to go snow tubing with my peeps next winter when there’s more time to plan.

Hello! Happy Valentine’s Day! I love coming and picking a question to answer. It’s fun.. and it makes me think a little. The last live music I heard, or rather saw, was a Tori Amos concert in Red Bank, NJ in 2009. She is my favorite. I have seen her live so many times, starting as a young teen in 1998! I went with a girlfriend, when my first born daughter was about 6 months old. I haven’t been to a concert since. But thinking about this, makes me think that it’s been WAY too long. There is nothing like live music.. especially when it’s Tori Amos. She is amazing. My friend who I went with, wasn’t familiar with her music but came with me, and was blown away. She has this incredible energy when you see her live. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Thanks for reminding me of that experience.. Mommy needs to get out and go to a concert! <3

I went to a Valentine’s Day Dinner last night at a catering hall thrown by my husband’s company at a banquet hall on Long Island..it was the first time in months since putting on full makeup in since giving birth five months ago. I do love makeup and because I did wear some false eyelashes (I double checked by googling the tips for reusing falsies – your site was the one I clicked on since Im familiar with it) and now I want to wear them on a regular basis (once I go back to work in two weeks) since my natural ones are wimpy but I know the feeling of how dramatic it’ll look once I get tired of wearing them (if I even do). 🙂 Anyway congrats to you!
I have a lip primer from Urban Decay and I never use it- it’s good for some lipsticks but for most it makes it way too matte and I don’t like when there is no slip. I’ve skied all my life and we are going to Colorado in three weeks!
I actually wear blue eyeshadow a lot. I like to use it as a contour shade in my crease paired with a slightly shimmery taupe or very light brown like MAC honesty or UD Suspect. I blend a lot and pair it with blue eyeliner on my waterlines.

I’m not big on blue eyeshadow, but I sometimes wear it on my lower lash line and I’ve really been enjoying teal eyeshadow on my lower lashline. The only blueish shade I’ve been enjoying on my lids is Naked Smoky’s Dagger with MAC’s Soft Brown in the crease and Naked Smoky’s Combust in the inner half of the crease.

I like saltine crackers, because they’re light, and easy to digest. Heavy foods have a tendency to come back up…because your body is having a baby, and not focused on processing food. :P. I wore blue eyeshadow this week. One of my favorite palettes of all time is the Tarte Aqualillies disk. I’ve hit pan on almost all of the eyeshadow shades except the blue, so I’m trying to even it out by experimenting with the blue shade. So wish they’d release this palette again.

ooh, under the wire! I forgot to leave a message yesterday! okay, so three things I never wear:
1. eyeshadow. I know I know, what kind of lady can’t manage at least a smudge of shimmer, right? unfortunately, this one. I get lost with layers and blending and brushes and it makes me kind of sad. I recently bought the tartlette bloom palette, though, with the intention of doing some experimenting, so we shall see!
2. bronzer. I’ve recently started playing with different types of highlighters and I’m liking that so long as I stay subtle, but with bronzer t doesn’t seem to matter how light a hand I try to use, I end up looking like an oompah loompa. I’m super pale and naturally brushy, so everything just looks so ORANGE on me!
this brings me to:
3. foundation!! I can’t say I never wear it because I do use the OG bareminerals loose foundation whenever I take the time to get entirely dolled up, (I’m late for literally everything, so it’s hard for me to make makeup time sometimes!), but I absolutely never ever in my entire almost thirty three years have ever been able to find and apply a liquid foundation that didn’t make me look and feel like a little girl who just got her face painted at a carnival!! it’s awful! I can’t even find a bb/cc/tinted moisturizer that I like! either the color is off, (oompah loompa!) or I feel all thick and suffocated.
the problem when I DO wear my bareminerals, tho, is that I need to try to bring a little color back in with blush and bronzer, and, well, you’ve heard how I do with bronzer! I think sometimes I’m a lost cause at girl-ing… but ooh do I love a good lipstick! 🙂

I never wear
1. Lip primer because have never heard or discovered lip primer yet lol.
2.Bronzer because I feel like my face is already dark and I really don’t know how to apply it.
4. Concealer because I just use foundation on my undereye area .
I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding! But my mother used to ski all the time in her younger years – she and her second husband were even married in Park City, Utah on a ski trip.
The last time I wore blue eyeshadow was near Halloween. I was trying out a Cleopatra look I was doing for my mom for her work costume contest.
Oh boy, I’m having a very stressful day worrying about things that aren’t in my control. I think I’ll go out for some chocolate! Haha, nothing else controls my nerves 🙂
I never wear highlighter, lip primer, or contour creams. The last time I wore blue eye shadow, I was in the sixth grade, over 27 years ago. Thinking back, I really have improved my techniques but for middle school, I was rocking that blue eye shadow like no one had ever worn anything so empoweringly grown up and gorgeous!
The last time I listened to live music was like a year ago…. lol
I last went to a concert was a couple of months ago, we had gone to see a “reunion” concert of an old rock/punk group. Totally took me back to 16….
I never wear a lip primer. I have a very sensitive lips so I’m not reallu adventurous when it comes to lip products
I saw Billy Joel last summer at Fenway Park in Boston and I got tickets for this year too!
Not sure when I last wore blue eyeshadow. But I wore electric blue eyeliner about 2 months ago!
I’ve never gone skiing or snowboarding… I would like to try snowmobiling, I think that would be fun.
I recently did a blue eyeshadow look, but I didn’t go out in public with it – it was a little too Avatar-looking for me haha.

I never ever wear false lashes, glitter or liquid eyeliner. And I only worn liquid lipstick once. My dry lips didn’t like it at all.
My favorite Valentine’s day candy is Conversation Hearts. Which reminds me that I should go pick some up today – you have to love discounted candy the day after the holiday!
I’m thinking about finally investing in a humidifier as winters in the Northeast always do a number on my skin.

I hear the Backstreet Boys are supposed to go on tour this year!! I hope that is true!! I want to see them in concert again!! The last time I seen them was in June of 2014! & before that was August of 2013 & I actually was able to meet them in 2013. They are AWESOME!

I tried dark blue shadow recently , cuz I was inspired by one of your blogs. Wrong move for me. It was a complete fail. My eyes are light, so it made them seem very tiny and by the end of the day, it smeared. It looked like I had 2 black eyes. It was pretty funny. I will just stick to my neutrals with navy eyeliner. I Am 43, I Don’t Wear Make Up, And I Have NEVER Liked Wearing Make Up, Because I Am From The Mid West! What Am I SUPPOSED To Wear Make Up For, The Farm Animals? The Farm Crops? My Favorite Candy Right Now? Pudding, I Like Pudding.
Ok, three types of makeup I never wear: tinted moisturizers (because I’m too oily, and they slip n’ slide all over my face); bronzer (because I’m light with cool undertones, and everything looks straight up orange on me); and lash primers.
I’m a teacher and am trying to broaden my makeup horizons! I don’t want to always have a plain-jane vibe!
I like keeping my makeup very minimal. No lip primers or lipsticks for me!
Hi I just recently started reading your blog and I have to say you seem so down to earth and so sweet. I think my favorite combo is a bare face that is very luminous and a bold lip.
Three makeup items I never wear are liquid foundations cuz they feel weird to me, blue-pink lippies cuz they look awful on me, and brow pencils. I stick to powders or i look like I have caterpillars on my face.

The last live concert I saw was the punk rock band X, who played a small club in Philly last July. What an amazing, energetic show.
Favorite Valentine’s candy would be Neuhaus or Teuscher chocolates (dark preferred) or chocolate-covered strawberries.
I never wear liner on my waterline, false eyelashes or color-correcting concealers. (In fact, half the time I forget concealer at all, but that’s a different story.)

It’s funny that your picture for this post is of a red lipstick. I’ve been on a hunt for a blue-based red that actually looks good on me!
What makeup don’t I wear? Foundation (even tinted moisturizers make me antsy to wash my face), false eyelashes, bright-coloured eyeliners, anything in peach or coral because both make me look ill, hardly ever use primers of any stripe, no contouring/highlighting products (yet). I’m 56, and have found that using less makeup is more flattering.
