oh, and yes I regularly make pizza crust from scratch. If we make pizza at home the crust is ALWAYS from scratch. It is so easy to do. There is really no reason not to do it.

Good luck with baby girl! I am blessed/cursed with tight curls. I’ve found the longer it is, the looser the curl so it’s almost waist length when wet.

I have definitely become a MAC gal but I did have to deviate to Make Up Forever for foundation due to a lack of a perfect match. I’m praying MAC comes out with a shade for me in Pro Longwear (something between NC45 and NC50 please) because it’s a better foundation than MUFE Mat Velvet for my super oily face. In the meantime, I will have patience.
My fave item right now is my MAC lipstick in Fast Play. It is a perfect nude shade for me and is almost an exact match for my natural lip color. That along with Chestnut lip liner and clear lipglass makes for my perfect everyday lip look!

Even though it was a female tree and had stinky fruit drop from it every year, I loved it’s golden glory in the fall. Every house we’ve lived in since then, we’ve planted a gingko tree somewhere on the property.

Hi Karen, Good luck! Actually we planted 2 trees one year for National Arbor Day, but my husband mowed them over by accident, Whoops!!
I have straight wavy hair. it’s just a messy really, i have to straighten it everyday to get it smooth. do recommend any good products for straightening hair? right now i’m using the Instyler, it’s quicker than a flat iron. And I sometimes use heat protectant/ straightening balm in my hair. I;m trying to wash my hair every other day, so I stay away from putting things in my hair.

i used to make pizza from scratch a lot during the summer, the secret was the flour but i couldnt find it anywhere local so i had to order it. Double OO flour I believe it was, from italy. 🙂 we had a pizza party one time and everyone got to make their own, it was fun and delicious. i had fresh basil, mozzarella balls, and homemade sauce along with meat and veggie toppings. they were delicious!
Can’t wait to “meet” Baby Girl! Just go with the flow during delivery. Things may not go as planned (I had two C-sections) but you will have a healthy baby. She is going to be a lucky baby to have you for a mom! Make sure you have some help lined up for those first few weeks (food, laundry, naps for you, etc).

Hi Karen, OMG, we will be reading about your baby girl any time now. You look great! I planted an apple tree in my parents backyard when I was a kid. It took off great and got to be about 15 feet tall! Unfortunately it got too big to manage in their tiny backyard and they had to take it down about 10 years ago.
I am a huge Chanel fan! Their foundation, lipsticks, blushes are just amazing!

Craftsy.com (I take some of their classes online) has a free class for making pizza at home. You don’t have to buy anything to take it, and the gentleman who teaches it is an expert bread baker. They have it free as an intro, so pizza for everyone! I would rather spend the money selectively on Dior or Chanel.
For a Christmas tree, my bf bought me a potted cypress plant. I planted it outside after Christmas, but I think it is dying because it is turning brown and crispy. It’s been getting water several times weekly so I’m not sure why 🙁

My favorite makeup palette right now is the Visart neutrals and dark mattes. I caught them on sale a few months ago and I am obsessed!!! My hair is polka straight. I cannot get it to hold a curl for the life of me. I’ve tried everything. I just keep it short and funky, this way my life is made so much easier!!
My hair is straight when it’s shorter, but it gets wavy as it gets longer, since the “repeat” is really long. At the “bra-band” length, it’s long loose sausages, but any shorter than that, you’d never know the curls were there!

The only high-end makeup I’ve bought is benefit’s BB cream. I did love it enough to repurchase it, despite the high-ish price.

On another topic, I won tickets through People Magazine to the bleacher seats on the red carpet for the Oscars on February 28. I am so excited. We have to arrive at 8:30 a.m. They feed us 3 meals. I’m not sure of my favorite overall line but my favorite, latest high end purchases are a couple of the Kat Von D shadows.
I think I’m going to try one of those Chanel nail polishes. I’m not big on polish (can’t wear it where I work) but I like nice quality ones for my toes or for when I have a day off to do my nails. Years ago I never appreciated my soft wavy hair and always tried to straighten it. Now I just go with it and am trying to limit the blow dryer and curling/flat irons I use. Here’s hoping that as I type this you have delivered “Swwet pea”??

I just got the lorac pro 2 palette as a gift and i am in love. It’s so pigmented and stays so nicely with primer. I was having issues with the naked 1 but this is a whole new world. I think I just prefer softer shadows.

While I’ve never made a pizza from scratch, it is something that I would like to do. It would be something fun to do with my son as well as he’s recently taken an interest in cooking. He baked an amazing caramel apple pie during the holidays. He’s 13! lol He loves everything Nerf… My husband loves everything cast iron… And I love makeup. Oh we have planted a tree before! My grandmother used to have a lake cabin and had these baby pine trees coming up. She gave my son and I one when he was little. We planted in our backyard and have watched it grow over the years! Every year we put a few Christmas lights on it and take a picture of him by it for our Christmas cards that year! As a student my first job was planting trees every weekend. I then would watch for the tree planting season and take advantage of planting trees to make extra money.
I have wavy hair that I try to make straight everyday and I have never planted a tree.
My late grandfather had gifted my late grandmother a gold, necklace when they got married. It has a guardian angel on it. And before Nanu (my grandmother) passed away, she gifted it to me. I was only seven years old at the time, but whenever I wear that necklace, all I can think of is her beautiful smile. May she rest in peace. 🙂

My favorite high end brand is NARS – I have had excellent results with every one of their products I’ve tried! My favorites are the Audacious lipsticks and dual intensity shadows and blushes. My favorite palette right now is using the Viseart Dark Mattes and Editorial Brights palettes in tandem. Don’t let the uninspiring packaging (which is why I waited so long to try them) fool you! Just got the Natasha Denona palettes though, so I may change my current favorite…!

I think it’s great for any skin color. Favorite high end makeup brand?? Now that’s a toughie…I don’t know if I’ve really experienced or delved into the world of super high end makeup, but if I had to choose, I’d probably say YSL. I own only one of their eye shadow palettes but it is definitely one of my all time favs!

My hair’s pretty wavy. In high school I was so jealous of all the girls with stick-straight hair and spent so much time with the flat iron hoping to achieve the same look. After years of disappointment and frustration (like spending an hour on my hair only to walk outside and have it frizz up and become instantly wavy again), I finally came to love my hair type. I realized that I almost have the best of both words—I can straighten my hair if I want to (depending on the weather, of course), but also add curls that will hold. I think most girls go through a hair-envy stage, but at the end of the day, you gotta learn to love what you have!

We moved to our first house about a year ago, and planted an apple tree. It doesn’t have any fruits yet, and probably won’t for a while, but I wanted our kids to see it grow, the same way they’ll grow in this house.
Oh, and although I’m Asian, I have wavy/curly/voluminous/never look the same hair!!! I don’t know how or where it comes from! It’s a pain to style, and I’ve struggled with it my whole life. Now I straighten it so it’s more manageable.

I’ve made pizza crust from scratch before and it was pretty good! I could never make a perfect circle though so I end up poking and prodding it into a semi-squarish shape with uneven thickness. Good if you enjoy crust, not so good if you are a thin-crust person. I love baking bread in general but it’s very time consuming so I only do it two or three times a year.

I’m definitely more into the mid range brands of makeup, the high end ones don’t have the bright colors that I like.
I have never planted a tree. At least not anything that will ever grow into a tree. With the exception of bean or mongo sprouts planted for classroom activities as a child, the only thing I ever remember planting is a “mayana” cutting that my grandmother helped me plant. If you know what a mayana is, I think it doesn’t become a tree. And anything else I’ve ever tried to buy when I moved to the US simply didn’t make it past the cold winters in PA. I try mostly herbs or tiny potted flowers. I had a basil plant that lasted almost half a year! But like everything else, it didn’t survive beyond winter. But a tree, no.

I’ve always told my hairdresser that my hair is bisexual! LOL. Wavy sometimes, straight sometimes it can’t make up its mind!
I have planted a tree before. I used to buy living Christmas trees and then plant them outside after the holidays.
Favorite high end make up is shiseido and hour glass (the primer is amazing!)

So I was actually just thinking of this today: my favorite high end brand has to be Chanel, mostly because their lipsticks wear like a DREAM for me! The rouge coco’s are my favorite, and two of them are at the top of my favs list, and have been for awhile. They wear so beautifully, comfortable and natural (meaning not overtly makeup-looking), and they last all day! I don’t have a lot of other stuff from their beauty line because unfortunately my eyes are too big for my wallet! Same with Tom Ford, I have on lipstick of his and it’s lovely, but everything else is out of my range… including his gorgeous eyeshadow quads… I want honeymoon so badly! (and that answers your palette question! ?)
I have planted a tree, when I was little, a cherry. I made a pizza crust from scratch, it was a disaster. I don’t have a favorite brand, I’m almost 40, but just getting into the make up, a friend of mine is helping :),

Oh!! I almost forgot… I sort of accidentally fell into a testing spree of Dior skincare yesterday… and then fell completely head over heels in love with their dreamskin. Until I found out how much it costs per ounce. ouch. Time to start saving! ?

Every year I plant 3 or 4 new trees around my yard. I get a discount on them through my electric company. Many of then even live.
Just turned 25 with a quarter life crisis at the moment. I don’t like when people don’t take me seriously but I also hate feeling oldddddd. Like wow, suddenly I am not part of those cool kids anymore. The horrifying moment when I realized I am /supposedly/ an adult now. But heck, I still can’t handle things properly sometimes and need to find an older adult, someone who has been successfully adulting, an adultier(?) adult, to take care of the mess I made. I didn’t know it would be this terrifying? I need Peterpan to take me to the Neverland…ha ha ha. 🙁 *cries a bucket of tears*

As for my favorite high-end makeup brands, I think it’s a tie between theBalm (I’m addicted to their blushes) and Kat Von D for her lippies. I would totally love to plant a tree, by the way! That is going on my list of life goals.

I’ve never made a pizza from scratch.
My fave palette right now is one that I don’t think they are selling anywhere on the planet! I got it in a special offer from a mega-discount makeup site and have to admit just liked the pretty leopard spot case it’s in.
The eye shadows have turned out the be some of the best I’ve ever used. The palette is called The BIG CAT Eye Palette by Famous By Sue Moxley Cosmetics. I was able to get the Zebra complete palette at the same time but I tried to find more later and found out the company is is not making makeup anymore (some lip gloss I guess). Sue Moxley is a TV presenter in the UK so I doubt you’ll find her things in the US but she does have a website with makeup brushes and tips. It was a silly purchase (for the cases alone) but they turned out to be dreams come true!

I planted a tree when I was a kid in my parents back yard. Every day I looked to see if the tree was there, and I gave up when it never grew. These days, my tree has grown to an apple tree, and I still get scolded in the summer how the squirrels ruin my Dad’s lawn by leaving apples everywhere!

Right now my most used palette is the UD Naked 2. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but surprisingly, I tend to gravitate to that one all the time I wear eyeshadow.
I die for NARS makeup. I don’t know if it’s considered a high-end makeup brand or mid-range but for me it’s definetely high-end.

I actually found this giveaway after reading your latest post by Tabs – I absolutely love his little anicdotes! I’ve recently adopting a cat myself, tabby but with white paws, called Murphy…….well he was originally called Mala but then surprised me by actually being a little boy!
I’m sure our little fur babies would get on very well, although I think Mr Tabs is more managerial whereas Murphy is a little bit of a poser!

I have naturally wavy, frizzy hair. I can’t let it air dry it looks a hot mess if I do and I always have to use a curling iron or straightener to style.

I haven’t bought a lot of makeup from luxury brands. But I love my Tom Ford lipsticks. They’re beautiful, comfortable, and easy to apply and touch up. I like the Lips & Boys size, because I have so many different colors of lipstick that it’s hard to use one up!
Of “mid-range” brands, Make Up For Ever is my favorite for color cosmetics — just adore their Artist Shadows/blushes (which I also use for contour), and their lipsticks are great except for the fragrance. Which is why I can’t wear their foundations. IT Cosmetics is my favorite for base products and concealers; Hourglass is my favorite for powders, love their blushes, too.
My hair was poker-straight, lank and do-nothing until I was in my 40s; then it became very slightly wavy, which means I can do a bit more with it, but have to contend with frizziness — it tries to turn itself into a giant puffball.
I haven’t made pizza crust from scratch, but my son does. He make The. Best. Pizza. Ever.
My favorite pizza dough is from Smitten Kitchen – love her blog – as much as yours – i make the Lazy Pizza dough – the best ever

My favorite palette at the moment is Makeup Revolution’s Blush Palette. Budget, but nicely pigmented. I’m currently using the Golden Sugar and Sugar and Spice ones.
I have straight, baby-fine hair and would love to own a Tom Ford lipstick someday. Reasons? The line has stunning lip colors and because I have a huge crush on TF (haha).
I’ve planted some trees but never have made pizza crust from scratch and doubt I ever will. Anything that requires flour flying all over is too much for me. Flour in a cup and then in a bowl is ok, but not on my countertops!
My hair is straight-straight-straight with little in the way of body (sigh).

I am loving the MAC-nificent me palette — I love the mix of warm and cool tones and different finishes, and have found my new go-to shade to bring out the green in my hazel eyes (“sable”).
I have never planted a tree that I can remember but I work for a winery and we got to plant vines two years ago in a new vineyard that we bought which was really cool!

my favorite palette right now is the tartelette palette – the original. it’s not new, but it’s new to me, and i’m loving that i can use any colors in it (or even, like, five of ’em) and still have a totally work-appropriate look. yay for mattes!

Make time to do things that make memories. When they’re tiny they forget so easily. Biggest make up challenge? Finding the right color lipstick.
