I love eyeshadow duos because they get rid of the guesswork and make it easy to figure out which shadows go well together.
Youngblood Cosmetics is a new brand to me, and when I recently tried their products for the first time, I was really impressed by their eyeshadow duos, particularly the Youngblood Cosmetics Perfect Pair Mineral Eyeshadow Duos in Desire and Charismatic.
Desire has a dark royal blue shimmery eyeshadow and a lighter lavender/gray, while Charismatic has a chocolate brown eyeshadow and a shimmery peachy pink.
I think both are really pretty, but Charismatic speaks to my soul. It’s totally my kind of eyeshadow because the colors are subtle, but also a bit sparkly.

For starters, these shadows are highly pigmented, but still smooth and blendable. The texture reminds me a lot of the Kat Von D eyeshadows. They’re somewhat powdery when swatched, but I don’t experience any messiness or fallout once they’re applied.
I love the look and feel of Charismatic so much that I decided to try two different eyeshadow looks with it. For the first look, I applied the lighter shade all over my lids, and then I lightly buffed the dark brown shade into the outer corners.

Then for my second look, I basically did the reverse. I patted the dark brown eyeshadow all over my lid, then used the pinky color to blend out the edges. I also used a pencil brush to apply the dark brown eyeshadow to my lower lash line…

I love the way these eyeshadows feel and look! I think that Charismatic will definitely be one of my go-to eyeshadows when I’m in a rush to get out of the house. It would also be great for travel, since the compact has a nice mirror.
If you’d like to see what else Youngblood has to offer, check them out at ybskin.com. Both of these duos here are available now for $28 each.
Also, in case you’re curious, here’s what I’m wearing on my face: PUR Cosmetics HydraFluid Water Serum Foundation in Tan (here’s a full review and swatches) // MAC Cosmetics Blush in Sweet As Cocoa // Dior Diorskin Brow Styler Gel in Brown // Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara (which I mentioned in a recent favorites video here) // Bite Beauty custom lipstick that I made in NYC! I go more in-depth on this amazing experience in this post on Bite Beauty.
I like what I’ve seen from Youngblood Cosmetics so far. Do you have any favorites from the brand that I should try?

Very nice shades!
Thanks, Erin!
Super pretty looks, Adia!
Aw, thank you Karen!
Lovely shadows! I haven’t tried Youngblood, but it seems more and more bloggers are saying good things about them. I was looking for the color of your lipstick, then saw it was custom. I was going to say how perfect it was for you. I guess that’s why!
Haha, thanks Rachel. Going to the Bite lab was so much fun! Youngblood is new to me, but I really like the quality of their products.
You look amazing! These are breathtaking duos and what you did with them is lovely.
Thanks, Sarah! I really like how the duos complement each other so nicely.
I love these types of eyeshadow looks! And you look amazing, Adia!

I’ve never tried Youngblood Cosmetics, but *love* the colors in the Desire duo 🙂
Yesss, Fran…super wearable colors!
Good to hear they get your seal of approval. I can’t say I feel particularly drawn to the shades though.
I feel you. These aren’t going to stop traffic, but the quality is really good 🙂
Not only do these shadows look great on you, but your styling in general is so on point!
Aw, thank you so much! I really appreciate that 🙂
