I like eating peaches…and I like wearing peach-toned under-eye concealer.
What does this have to do with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer?
Well, the whole “eating peaches” bit has absolutely nothing to do with it. I’m just super obsessed with peaches right now, and I got a huge box from Trader Joe’s last week, so I’ve been in peach heaven.
But the thing about peach-toned concealer is marginally related, because NARS just added six new Radiant Creamy Concealer shades to the line, and a couple of them have peachy undertones, woo-hoo!
Back when NARS first released their creamy, full-coverage Radiant Creamy Concealers, it shook up the makeup world. A lot of peeps fell in love (myself included), because of how good they were/are at doing so many things.
And they completely cover everything.
EVERY. FRICKIN’. THING.
Yet somehow still look natural.
A tiny bit of the super concentrated formula goes a long way, and the light-diffusing finish bounces back a little of the light that hits it, so the finish isn’t a completely flat matte. Skin still looks like skin.
I’ve been hoping that NARS would add more peach- and pink-toned shades because, when you have dark circles like I do, concealers with peach or pink undertones are your tired self’s BFF.
Have you ever noticed how some concealers, when you pop them on your dark circles, end up looking sort of gray-ish? That happens to me all the time. Concealers with yellowish tones don’t cancel out the purple or blue areas, and they end up looking gray, like I’m zombie Karen, and it’s so not cute (side note: Walking Dead later this month!).
But peach or pink-toned concealers (I think pink seems to work better for lighter lasses and peach for gals with medium and deeper skintones) color correct and cancel out those purple or blue tones, leaving the under-eye area looking brighter, more refreshed and, OMG, not gray, LOL!
It’s kind of a big deal.
Of the six new Radiant Creamy Concealer shades, I’m super stoked about Macadamia, which is a medium one with peachy undertones (my NARS foundation shade is St. Mortiz, by the way).
And the Radiant Creamy Concealers aren’t just great for hiding dark circles. You can also use them to highlight, or countour, or to even out your complexion on other parts of your face.
I mainly use them as under-eye concealer, and I recommend only using the smallest amount — I’m talking three or four tiny dots per eye, max — because they’re VERY concentrated. Then, gently pat and blend them into your skin with a damp BeautyBlender, and set with a little powder.
If I use even a tad too much of this concealer, the coverage looks heavy and draws attention to my fine lines, blergh!
Seriously, use the littlest amount possible. I can’t stress that enough.

OMG yeeeeeesss, dreams do come true!! Vanilla is a bit too light for me, but Custard is too dark.. Creme Brulee looks like the perfect color for me!
Chantilly might actually be light enough for me!
I use Chantilly for blemishes and highlighting. I find Vanilla is better for my dark circles; the Creme Brûlée might be nice for that too!

Tabs look mortified! hahaha..so cute…I have Vanilla and it’s a little bit too light for me even though I prefer a concealer that’s one shade lighter than my skintone. I think Creme Brulee might work better. We’ll see…*cross fingers*
I literally buy 3-4 tubes of RCC when I order from NARS because it’s real!y the best! If the zombie apocalypse did happen I would scavenge for it instead of food.

thank you so much for the swatches Karen! even though i have strong yellow undertones i need pinkish under my eyes same like you. vanilla was tiny bit too light so i was super excited to see cream brulee
I’m like you. Sometimes when I conceal under my eyes it just goes grey. I’m between Chantilly and Vanilla. When I use Chantilly under my eyes it’s major grayness. (Is it grey or gray?) But Vanilla can be too dark. Wondering if I got a tube of the new Creme Brulee, which seems much peachier, and used that lightly to cancel out the under eye color, then let it set and used the Chantilly on top for the correct color.
I also use Karima McKimmie’s “low key baking or semi baking” method of powdering over my under eye concealer and it really helps with the lines.
Bahaha, zombie Karen… 🙂 Lately I’ve been going completely concealerless again. Tried it out to just see if I could (I had to travel with hand luggage only and wanted to see what products I could skimp on) and it didn’t look TOO awful, so I just kinda stuck with the concealer-free routine.
Ooooh I must go to Sephora and have a look at these! I like the Nars formula, but I got so frustrated after trying 3 different shades with none of them working out. Vanilla is too light, Honey is too pink, Custard is too dark… ugh. I can’t wait to try them. Creme Brûlée looks perfect. :):):)

I dont think the yellow undertone concealer = grey thing works at all when talking about non white women. Many black women welcome the yellow because its so rare to find in any high street brands, all of which are inexplicably pinkey.
I use creme brûlée on the daily! I am neutral undertoned, but have pretty light skin. I have horrible pigmentation around my eyes (sinus issues). I use this under my eyes and to cover a few red blemishes on my face for no make-up days, or I use it under or over foundation and it literally matches perfectly. I couldn’t ask for a better peachy toned concealer!
