Tabs seriously does not care at all about citrus.
Before I explain, he does, however, care a great deal about whatever goes on outside, and he surveils the neighborhood like the world’s greatest security guard from his window perch.
But we planted a new dwarf orange tree outside this week, and I expected Tabs to be hella interested in it when we went outside today for our walk, but he couldn’t have cared less.

He had absolutely zero interest in the tree. In fact, he was more interested in the old jade plant next it that we’ve had for years.

And the empty, dry hillside, which he studied with great interest.
Cats…

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addicts,
Karen and Tabs

He is so handsome! Looks so majestic in these pictures.
Well, most cats (an dogs) hate the smell of citrus – that’s why they put citrus oil in those sprays to deter cats fro clawing the furniture.
As a fellow cat lady, I say just be grateful. It’s one tree that will remain unbothered. 🙂
I love that Tabs wears a harness.
Maybe he isn’t into that smell? Like, more into fall scents already?
If it’s any consolation, *I* am very interested in your dwarf orange tree! 🙂
Tabs has not yet made friends with the new tree.
He is waiting for it to acknowledge him first as fits his royal status.
The jade tree is his friend as it has been admiring him for a long time.
Tabs is just so handsome. Love getting to see pictures of him.
Tabs is so beautiful! He’s very regal in his harness. What kind of harness do you use for him? My male cat is rather big-boned as well, and most harnesses made for cats don’t fit him! Maybe I need to look for one for a small dog…Love your blog!
