Rise and shine, pal o’ mine! ? Good morning. It’s the day before Good Friday. Here’s a Thursday quick tip you can use in your Easter Sunday look.
What’s the easiest way to wear those bright red and orange powder blushes you hoard ?️ and love ❤️ but never wear (I’m guilty)?
Try this: swirl a stiff brush in the pan, tap/brush the powder on the back of your hand, and mix in a drop or two of face primer. Finish by patting on your cheeks with fingers.
That’s it! It’s a quick way to add the perfect amount of cheek color and mellow out your pores. ?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I always did this with liquid foundation, but I will try this method! Thanks for the tip, have a great weekend, and happy Easter!
Hi Melissa,
I don’t think I’ve ever tried that with liquid foundation! That’s so smart. Gonna give that a go too. 🙂
Where will you be spending Easter this year? We’re hosting at our house.
I don’t think I have Fix + anywhere right now, but I bet Caudalie Grape Water will work as well.
Hmm… I didn’t use Fix+ spray in this example, and I don’t know if it would work. Might come out patchy.
Brilliant, Karen! Makeup is just powders, creams, and liquids, so this makes perfect sense.
I’ve also made an otherwise unwearably bright lip pencil into cheek color by drawing a bunch on the back of the hand, then warming/blending with clear lip gloss and patting onto the cheeks. The Wet n Wild variety is not so sticky and creates a gel-like sheen of color, not unlike Tarte cheek stain.
Happy Upcoming Good Friday & Easter! Can’t wait to see what adorable outfit Miss Connor Claire will be sporting. 🙂
I love makeup cocktailing!
