Paramount was my first MAC love in 1995. I still have my original tube! With a little stub of product left in it. My favorite brown right now is Becca Topaz gloss. Technically not really a brown, and not really a lipstick, but my lips are brownish, so it deepens and shines the natural color. That’s as close as I’ve gotten to brown in awhile! I’ve been on a pink and neutral kick!
Oh, Amy! You are my makeup soulmate because I *wish* I had my original tube. I still have old pans of eyeshadow with a screw on top and “MAC” on the side. Do you have any of those?
And the mom’s club has been great so far. I’m thinking about joining the board, which is a way to really get to know people and see them regularly. Now if only I could figure out how to squeeze like five more hours into each day, LOL!

Nice picks, Karen! Paramount and Taupe are stunning and universally flattering IMO. My favorites are pretty close dupes for those – Urban Decay’s Carnal and En Fuego. I’ve loved MAC lippies for years but find the UD Vics formula to be the kindest to my dry lips.

I love brown lipsticks, but I think it can sometimes be tricky to find a flattering tone, so they tend to get a bad rap. As a fair toned gal, I have trouble pulling off straight browns but brown plum or red brown mixes are much easier for me to wear. The true browns that have worked for me have at least a little pink or have a satiny bronze finish. Top picks are Revlon Superlustrous Sandstorm, Chanel Rouge Allure Orientale, Clinique Different lipstick Tenderheart, Bite Beauty buttercream in Marzipan, Mac Velvet Teddy(looks mauve nude on others, wears taupe brown on me).

I love all the shades mentioned, but mine is Mac Del Rio – It’s a subtle brown – and I used it feverishly when I first got it. I also like ABH Rust, and another Mac in Sin. Sin is really a dark one, but I usually pair it with a really neutral eye. I wasn’t sure if I liked it at first because it was so dark, but it has grown on me!! I’d love Velvet Teddy- and I will get it oneday – I just have so many and we really can’t wear but so many!!! I have so many that I never touch anymore… I feel kind of guilty buying new one!
Revlon Rum Raisin and Nars Audacious Mona are my favorite browns

MAC X Padma Lakshmi Nude Fudge has pretty much usurped MAC taupe, whirl, and brick dust for me lately. Also NARS matte lip pencil in Walkyrie. I have fairly pigmented lips and am ~NC37/40.
My fave brown at the moment is MAC Verve – so much deep chocolatey goodness. Side note – I went into MAC recently and asked about Paramount only I couldn’t remember the name. I asked for the lip colour that Rachel used in Friends (the news article had just been released where she revealed that it was Paramount). The salesperson was clearly 12 years old and had barely heard of Friends. I googled it on my phone to show her lol #gettingold
