Like everything in Aussie beauty line Frank Body, I too am powered by coffee! ☕
In fact, I’m completely non-functional without it (or at least something containing caffeine).
Frank Body has been around since 2013, packing their products with the mighty coffee bean. They’re available all over Australia now, as well as here in the US online. Their products have cheeky names, and they put funny quotes and pics on the packaging (there’s a doodle of a bum on the coffee scrub!). CUTE.
They remind me of Bliss, but with more coffee, and their most popular products are their exfoliating coffee scrubs…
Original Coffee Scrub ($16.95 for a 7.05-oz. bag)
Don’t keep this in the kitchen, because if you wake up extra woozy one morning, you might accidentally put it in the coffee maker! The coffee scent is that strong.
So, for the record, it’s a body scrub, not a stimulating beloved beverage.

For peeps who like a slightly aggro scrub, but aggressive in a most pleasant way, like doing a tough workout and not, like, getting your @ss beat in an underground fight club, this exfoliating, moisturizing scrub made from coffee grounds, salt, sugar and oils is pretty great (you also get a good amount of it for the price). And man! — if the invigorating scent doesn’t perk you up in the shower, chances are your heart is no longer beating and you’re clinically dead and/or a
zombie.

Be warned… I freaked out a little (OK, a lot) when the grounds got all over the sides of the tub and the walls of my shower (I had to stop myself from grabbing rubber gloves and the tub scrubber). It’s hella messy, and I can’t handle it.
(Yes, I’m slowly turning into my mother.)
INGREDIENTS
Coffea Robusta Seed Powder (Coffee), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Water (Aqua), Sodium Chloride (Salt), Sucrose (Brown Sugar), Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Fragrance (Parfum)* * Natural. Includes nuts.

Express-O Coffee Scrub ($19.95 for a 5.3-oz. bag)
This one’s more my speed. It’s creamier and less messy than the Coffee Scrub, but it still has the same “scrub your lights out!” kick. I feel like I’m treating myself when I use it because I’m not merely washing my skin… I’m exfoliating away all. the. flakies! My legs, arms and everything in between feel and look like expensive spa skin when I’m finished using it.
Also, it smells like a caramel latte (a.k.a. YUM).

Even though the 5.3-oz. bag seems a bit small for 20 bucks, I love this stuff. I wish I had a backup.

Cherry Bomb Lip & Cheek Tint ($11.95, 0.51 fl. oz.)
I’ve only used this as a lip tint so far, but I think it’s super pretty. It’s the color of a juicy Bing ? cherry! But…my lips feel terribly dry afterwards. 🙁

Shimmer Lip Gloss ($12.95, 0.51 fl. oz.)
Smells like ? lemons! The shimmer is also nice and subtle. Plus and plus.
Bummer that it also dries out my lips, unfortunately. I think it’s still worth a try, though.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Oh, you’re turning into me. When I saw the first pic, I was like “ooh, cheeky!” and then I saw the pic of the open coffee scrub and immediately stiffened. I could picture those “grounds” all over my tub and got a little itchy. HAHA! I think they’re implying that we need smooth, glowing bums but I’m not 100% sold on that. 🙂
I blame the talc and mica, respectively for the drying feeling of the lip products. It makes me sad, though, because I love cherry (and grape) everything.
I almost climbed out of the tub in my birthday suit to get the cleaning supplies, it was THAT SERIOUS.
In the end I guess we all turn into our moms to some degree, LOL!
Oh, and is it just me, or am I crazy for wanting someone to draw some cellulite on that bum?!
HAHA! I’d be right there with you. Those grounds make a mess! 🙂 Agreed on the moms.
No – I love that idea. Less aspirational and more every gal!
I have shied away from coffee scrubs for that reason alone, no matter how good they are supposed to be against cellulite. I just couldn’t deal with the mess.
I love coffee scrubs! Franks are good, especially the whipped one (it’s less messy)! (though I also love the Lush coffee mask) Also loving Frank’s new lip scrub (it’s gentle) and the shimmer balm. 🙂
