Mineral sunscreen realness right hurr! I wore this a lot last weekend, when it was hotter than baby-faced Ethan Hawke in the ’90s, and I have absolutely zero complaints.

Best of all, the formula is kinda melty and runny, and it sinks right in, so instead of having to work a thick paste into my legs and arms for 10 minutes, I just put it on like a regular lotion in the morning and move on with my life. It’s also unscented, so it won’t clash with your Designer Imposters Body Spray (I kid, I kid!). 🙂
Bonus if you have little ones around: Clinique says that it’s also approved for children six months and up, so I used it on Connor last weekend too, and by the time Sunday night rolled around, there were no toasty tans to be had.

Just a heads up — should you be livin’ that waterbaby/beachbum life (and if that’s the case, I’m majorly jelly), don’t plan to wear it to the pool or the beach, because it isn’t water resistant or waterproof. (That’s what they say, but I still plan to test that.)
Not that one (meaning me) actually swims at beaches here in Nor Cal, because 1) pins-and-needles freezing cold water, and 2) man-eating sharks.

I put some on a patch of my forehead for testing purposes and it did OK! There’s also face version of it that I’m testing right now. The face stuff is slow going these days because I’ve been really nervous about trying new skin care ever since I broke out last January. Gimme about two more weeks and I’ll be able to tell you if it’s any good.
Here’s the thing, I asked you about how it fared in your face, because I use around a bottle of face sunscreen each 1.5 months, so buying something expensive is a no-go for me.
But since this one is a body sunscreen I know it’s more product for the price, so I think that if the body sunscreen is that good, I’ll use it instead of a face one.
Understood. I think you could use this on your face. I’d probably do it if I wasn’t so freaked out about the breakout! I wouldn’t put it on eyes though.
How did you go with the face version? Are there any major differences between the two? I’m also keen to get the body version for the face if they’re basically the same for much cheaper. Wayne Goss basically encouraged it!
My goodness, that baby is 10 times more stylish than me! 🙂 I’m living the lazy, spray life for my body sunscreen. We usually get the Target Up and Up, SPF 50, I believe. I don’t find it to be sticky but I don’t think I’m very sensitive to that, so you’d need to test for yourself. 🙂

It’s the Kids version and the active ingredient is Avobenzone, which I believe is all chemical, no mineral. 🙁 On the upside, it’s free of parabens and aluminum!
I wonder if this comes in any SPF higher than 30. If so I’d be all in!

Re “pins-and-needles freezing cold water”. When I first moved to SF some friends and I went to Stinson Beach. Being from MI it didn’t deter us that is was cold and foggy and windy. I mean we’d wear sweaters in 50 degree weather and didn’t pull out the down jackets until it got down to freezing. Anyway, sitting on the beach reading the NY Times when a gust of wind picks up part of the paper and blows it into the ocean. Wearing shorts and a tee shirt I sprint after it. I got into the water to about knee level when I just froze. Literally. Let out the highest pitch scream from the limb numbing cold. Turned around and ran back to the sand and decided the ocean could have that part of the newspaper.
Conner is cuter each day! I’ve Been using the new Pacifica sunscreen, it comes in their scents also: I have Blood Orange & Pineapple Flower. SPF 50, mineral, water resistant for 80 minutes. I really like it, got it at Target!
I love Clinique skincare and sun products! My daughter uses the regular Clinique facial sunscreen, and her sensitive, breakout prone skin doesn’t react. I have been using the PepStart SPF 50, layering under makeup and it works well. I can even use it on my very sensitive eye area without a problem. Hooray for sun protection that delivers!
