Aloha nui loa from Oahu! Hope you’re doing well. Yesterday was a pretty fun day. We drove out to a shrimp shack on the north side of the island for lunch, then stopped by Haleiwa town for shave ice on the way back to our hotel.
It’s funny, but despite this being a fairly small island, it takes a while to get around because of…traffic! Lots of cars on this little island, and it can easily take more than an hour to get anywhere. But there’s a lot to see along the way, and it’s beautiful.

This morning we had our coffee and bananas on the beach. I got in a quick workout, and now we’re meeting my in-laws at California Pizza Kitchen at Kahala Mall for lunch.
I still haven’t spotted any great kitty modeling talent…so Tabs is on my case. The only contender lives at the shrimp farm we visited, but she skittered away before I could make her an offer on behalf of Tabs the Cat Industries LLC to represent her in her modeling career.
So, the quest continues!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing!
have so much fun!
I hope you find a suitable candidate soon – I can´t imagine you going back empty handed. Tabs would be furious!
Haven’t been to Matsumoto’s in a minute. WOW, they really renovated the place! Enjoy da east side!
Glad you’re having a great trip. The scenery looks beautiful. Freezing rain predicated here for tomorrow.
Oh man, I’m so jealous! I’ve been dreaming of a holiday to Hawaii (even though I live in Australia 10 minutes from the beach, it’s not the same!)
Years ago when I went to Hawaii, I went to Matsumoto’s as well. The magnet I bought there is still on my fridge!
If you can recommend any good accommodation for families with toddlers I’m all ears ?
I love the idea of you stalking cat’s to photograph. ?
Looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Meh, just another day in paradise. 😉 I am THRILLED to see all the blue skies in your pics. So glad that you’re having good weather (and shave ice). It hurts my teeth but I can still see the appeal. Connor looks like she’s loving it the trip – then again, she always looks adorable. 🙂
That photo of Connor is So Sweet! I bet she’s missing Tabs.
I love a good shrimp shack! I love California Pizza Kitchen and there aren’t any in Maine! So I have to travel to get to one. However, I do have their cookbook, which is a pretty reliable representation of their dishes.
And seriously, you better get back in cat stalking mode. I hate to think of the furry fury you will encounter if you land back in the states without any signed contracts.
Please tell me you’re going to get some malasadas from Leonards…yum! we were just there for 3 weeks over the holidays visiting my husband’s family on the big island, maui and Oahu.
I always love your photos and posts from Hawaii! I can’t wait until I can go there 🙂
I have never been but we are planning a trip in September. So excited!! Would also love to hear any toddler friendly recommendations of restaurant, easy hikes or just fun, general must-do’s! Thank you for sharing!! It looks beautiful 🙂
