Just a quick reminder that makeup doesn’t have to be overly complicated. 🙂
I did this look with makeup that I could quite literally carry in the palm of one hand!
It’s non-fussy, natural-looking makeup that I wore to go to dinner and window shopping with the fam-bam last Saturday, so, minimal base coverage with an ultra sheer tinted moisturizer and soft, barely-there color on my lids, lips and cheeks. There’s also the teeniest, tiniest wing on the outer corners.
The liner was the most “complicated” (air quotes) part. First, I drew a line of black liquid liner along my upper lash lines, then winged out the ends. Then, after it dried, I layered a light-colored liner directly on top, stopping about three fourths of the way from the inner corner to the outer corner. I did this to open up my eyes a bit so they appear a little less hooded.

Makeup worn in this look
- Base: Covergirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk Nourishing Foundation in 590 Tan/Rich
- Blush: MAC Glow Play Blush in Grand
- Brows: MAC Clear Brow Gel
- Lips: MAC Yash (from the Loud and Clear collection)
- Lashes: It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara
- Liner: Charlotte Tilbury Liquid Liner (black liquid liner) and Urban Decay Scorch (lighter pencil liner)
- Lids: MAC Omega and Tromp L’Ol

P.S. Happy hump day to you! 🙂

This is my go to makeup, just with a bolder lip color. You look so fresh!!
Hi Ninoska! Yes, this makeup definitely play well with a bold lip. Hope you’re having a nice week so far!
Who has time for overly complicated makeup for Saturday window shopping? Esp when that window shopping turns to serious shopping of trying out like ,15 clothes. Don’t wanna stain those clothes with my lipstick & lipgloss. ?♀️
Love the blush!
I’m with you, Hanna. Hope you’re enjoying your week so far!
Oooh this is a fun idea! I’ll have to try it out.
I think it’s fun too. 🙂 Have a good day, Chelsea!
I love makeup like this for every day at work.
So do I!
I had to return that foundation after using it 1.5 times. The second time I tried to wear it was yesterday and it must have conflicted with my nightly facial oil because I had patchy white spots all over my face. I have to abbreviate my morning routine for those mornings/days when I just don’t have the time to do a full-on eye look, if that makes sense. LOL just this morning I had a dream that I was running ridiculously late and had to get my kids and a random kid to school, but I hadn’t showered or done anything with my hair/makeup and it was almost 12:30 PM! So while I love my morning routine of unending blending, I need to establish a go-to 5 – 10 minute look. Thanks for the inspo, Karen!
You know I’m totally on board with looks that you can fit in one hand! 🙂
