I do! At the moment I’m very into the Boy de Chanel Brow Pencil. It really isn’t that much different than a brow pencil made for ladies, because it’s pretty much a regular ol’ brow pencil, but the packaging is slightly different.
That said, it’s got a lot going for it! I love the semi-sheerness of the pigment. It isn’t too dark, but you can tell it’s there, and the big, bushy brush combs through brow hairs super quickly. It’s easy to draw in full, but natural-looking brows with it in flash, and it lasts all day long, too.
So, that brings me to the following question: do you wear any men’s makeup, a.k.a. beauty products that are marketed toward dudes? Spill the details, so I can add your faves to my wish list. ?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Still here in Hawaii! We’ve mostly been going to the beach, eating shave ice and hanging out with family. It’s been nice. Hope you’re having a good week so far.

Actual makeup products for men? No. Makeup is makeup and the only real difference is in the packaging. I have, however, been a fan of Jack Black skin care and sunscreen for ages. I love the Oil Free SPF 45 sunscreen and the Protein Booster serum.
I use the Tom Ford Brow Gelcomb for men. Comes in one sheer color. I have full brows and I only need to darken the grays so this works almost perfectly. I say “almost” because the product comes out through a center hole and sort of globs in one place, so I twist some up and draw a stiff brow brush through it and then apply it with my brush.
I’ve been wanting to try the Boy de Chanel 3-in-1 Eye Pencil in the navy shade.
That shave ice looks yummy. Hawaii has the most gorgeous beaches! Thanks for sharing the photos!
No cosmetics for men but I do not mind wearing fragrances that might be considered “masculine” made by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (I think I was going back and forth with a few BPAL fans on here awhile back).
Eileen is right in that it’s all about the packaging because makeup is just powders, creams, liquids, and the corporate powers that be saw an opportunity to market to men, which I find interesting in this day of gender fluidity.
Very OT: Saie Sunvisor SPF is major GO. I just ordered and tried it; you’re gonna love it! It’s smoother and absorbs better than the Ilia and it blends so well with the Typology Tinted Serum to leave a nice, even coverage that is very sheer and natural. I may have to get on the subscription plan for this one.
Glad you and your family have been enjoying your time on the Windward side! Hugs and Alerrherr from South Shore! 😉
Jack Black lip balm. The best and includes sunscreen.
Not makeup, but I’m fine with wearing fragrances targeted at men. I prefer Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb over the female equivalent, Flowerbomb-the latter just smells too strong for my tastes!
I never knew there was such a category, but I do not wear any makeup specifically made for men. I have used my son’s hair gel once or twice only when I ran out of mine.
Be well and enjoy your vacation in Hawaii.
Oh, beautiful Hawaii- I so want to return for a visit! Was in Maui and later the North Shore several years ago, Loved every moment of the trip and had the best shave ice ever. Have tried several kinds of shave ice here in the States but it just ain’t the same!
There’s something about eating shave ice in a tropical place, right? It tastes so much better.
Thanks for all pictures you posted!! Hawaii looks so gorgeous!! I hope to visit there, one of these days.
Hi, Sherry! I hope you make it out here someday soon. It’s one of my favorite places to visit.
I can’t recall any of my makeup being from the mens section, but the latest thing I purchased is a pink nail polish, which would probably not be specifically marketed towards men anyway.
