1. Monochromatic makeup
I love how matching your cheek, eye and lip color makes putting on makeup so much easier!

You don’t have to think as deeply about “does this color goes with that shade?” and if you find a single multitasking product, that makes it even easier. (I’ve got my eye on a couple of these multitasking cream mattes by Danessa Myricks.)
2. Trader Joe’s Apple Caramel Greek Yogurt
This yogurt is so good! It’s like a slice of caramel apple pie in a cup. There’s even tiny little apple pieces in it, and whenever I find one, I feel like I just won the yogurt lottery.

Sometimes I like to add a small handful of TJ’s Candied Pecans to take it to the next level.

3. Trainer Fred
I love his playlist, his energy and his striped elf socks! The part of me that randomly bursts into song while in public also appreciates his penchant for singing while he’s in the middle of a tabata sprint.
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself working harder than usual when you take this spin class.
4. Color Wheel Page Markers
Speaking of pie, these are pie slice-shaped sticky notes, and they’re absolutely glorious.

They’re tiny enough to tuck away into text, yet big enough to pen a quick note to self.
5. “All the Way Up”
Another shout-out to Trainer Fred, who put this on his playlist in a recent spin class. I haven’t heard this song in ages, but when I was on the bike I started pedaling like I was in the last leg of the Tour de France!
Oh, and while I was trying to find the song on YouTube, I randomly ran into this other song called “All The Way Up” by a singer named Jay Park.
Do you feel like dancing now? I sure do! 😺
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I don’t have that many things I am loving lately, but I am loving the following:
Season 2 of Ted Lasso, I also loved Season 1.
One and done eyeshadow looks with no liner.
Plain roasted almonds (Whole Foods 365 are pretty good)
Mad Hippie’s Vitamin C serum (it’s got lots of good stuff in it even though it is on the pricier side).
Almost made it to five.
Be well.
I’ve heard good things about that Mad Hippie serum! Quite a few friends I know love it.
P.S. I really enjoy “Ted Lasso.” Have you tried watching “The Morning Show”? It’s great, too.
I’ll have to catch it one of these days. I forgot to mention that the Passion Fruit &Guava yogurt from Trader Joe’s is awesome, so I do have five things I’m loving lately. My bonus thing or things are the texts I get from my 20 year old college young man. He still needs his mama!
Such a big yes to your red/orange makeup. I love when you do that shadow combination. 🙂 We just went to TJs last night; it’s been ages since I’ve been and I was glad I had a list. Otherwise I’d have been filling my basket with everything in sight. HAHA! I found the last 5 bags of gummy penguins behind/under their basket and you’d have thought I won the lottery. The boys love them, and we go so infrequently that they really are a big treat. I’m going to put that at the top of my Things I’ve Been Loving list.
I love to use those TJ pecans in salads like arugula, slices of pear, candied pecans, and finished with a drizzle of pear infused balsamic vinegar. Simple and refreshing. My husband and I are into fruit infused balsamic vinegars (Williams Sonoma) and very seldom use oil unless I’m preparing a Middle Eastern type of salad. In that case, I do use a top quality EVOO. Those pecans are also good when coarsely chopped and mixed in with some of TJ’s Apple Cider Fruit Spread. It is delicious on scones fresh from the oven. Autumn in every bite.
Ohmygosh I love that song by Jay Park!!! That will be on my playlist.
Love the monochromatic makeup!! Such a pretty look on you, Karen!!
Lemme tell ya, those Danessa Myricks pigments are THE BOMB! I have, ahem, mature skin and these go on smooth as silk, look flawless. Do NOT crease or emphasize lines. Truly miraculous. Also long wearing. I bought Exposed and will be back for more. Can’t say enough good stuff!!
I am SO here for this monochromatic makeup look. You are werking it. And I think I may have just been inspired for a lewk tomorrow (how many ebonics/millennial spellings can I use in one post…..LOL)
Sure feel like dancing now. Thank you!
