All silliness aside, I’m extra grateful for you today. Thank you for your companionship and for always making my day better. It truly is a gift to check in with a friend, even when they’re a long ways away across the keyboard.
Thank you for sharing all your stories about your pets, your kids and grandkids, and your life. Thank you for being the person I can chat with endlessly about face cream, blush (ALL THE BLUSH), lipstick and perfume. Thank you for being you! I think you’re absolutely wonderful.

This year I am thankful for the twin girls in my belly! Last year I experienced a miscarriage the day after Christmas and it was really tough.
The only thing I bought for Black Friday beauty were some Real Techniques beauty sponges. They usually go on sale this time or year and I stock up for the whole year!

I don’t plan to do much shopping of the Black Friday sales this year, but I did get the Ulta “Tis The Season” eyeshadow palette when it went on sale. The colors are beautiful – I have never tried any of the Ulta eyeshadows before. I said no more powders, but every color in the palette was a color I would use, so I gave in and bought it anyway.

So I just googled your Ulta palette and it is SO pretty! The colors are totally my jam. How do the eyeshadows blend?
Sad to say, the matte colors are not terribly pigmented, so you really have to work to build them up. The shimmer shades are more pigmented and they blended ok, and there are a couple of metallics that are pretty and are more pigmented. All in all, I am glad I got it (on sale) The original price is a bit much for the quality and the pans are tiny ( that picture is a little deceiving). It will be fun to play with, but definitely don’t expect premium quality.
It is the first time buying it. Will let you know how it behaves.

I spent today shopping for groceries, cooking, doing laundry and dishes, and looking after my convalescing elderly mother. I’m tired – as a cancer patient, I don’t really have as much energy as I should. I’m also painfully aware that I will not have someone to help me, should I live to be as old as my mother is.
Last night I shopped the Ulta Black Friday sale and ordered a Tarte foundation, a bottle of It’s a 10 Lite, and three of the Smashbox Always On cream shadows.

We will spend christmas with my in-laws as usual, because my part of the family lives too far away. I send them their christmas presents in the mail and we open them together in a video conference 😉 Luckily my in-laws live near us and are such friendly and warm people – it is always a pleasure and I love them, too.
I used the blackfriday discounts to shop board games and skin care as christmas presents for my family – the women in my family appreciate a nice body lotion, hand cream and lip balm as gift (I personally also loove getting a nice soap bar) – and I bought some skincare (bodylotion, face serums and oils) as gift for myself 😉 I am proud for not buying any make up on sale.
The men will get some beverages or sweets. My father and I are book lovers – so I always buy him a book. But these are things I did not buy yet and I think there are no big discounts an such things on BF…
