His Royal Huskiness, Master of His Meowmain, and the single greatest force in the history of kitty supermodeling. I don’t care what anyone says. He was the one who started it all.
This is the 700th installment of Sundays With Tabs! My tabby boy was here for 552 of them.
I miss him dearly. Tremendously. I tear up just thinking about it. He was and always will be the cat love of my life. ❤️

I mean, I’ve been blogging here on MBB since 2007… That’s a LONG time, and the only reason I’ve done it this long is Tabs. I can honestly say that he was my muse for most of those years. He was larger than life, both to me personally and here on the blog. He got my creative juices going. He made everything more fun, and he seemed to enjoy doing it. He loved the attention. He loved taking pics with me, loved the hugs and the stage direction, just loved being himself, and I loved being around him.
He was my partner, my confidant, my inspiration and my best friend. We matured together as people (and a feline). I’ll never forget him as long as I live.

Rosie

Rosie continues to do a remarkable job taking over for Tabs as CFO (Chief Feline Officer) of Tabs the Cat Industries, LLC. To her credit, she’s never tried to upstage Tabs. She isn’t as passionate about kitty modeling as Tabs was because she’s her own cat person, with her own hopes and dreams.
I respect and appreciate that about her.
Thank you, Rosie, for being yourself. You’re a bad-@ss and a sweet, brilliant girl. I love you very much. ❤️

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories of Tabs. Barkley was that sort of companion to me and though I love the two rescues I’ve adopted since we lost him, I miss him every day.
I love your love for Tabs, Karen x Thank you so much for sharing.
Awww!! Both Tabs and Rosie are so precious!!
I love your live for cats abd I tear up every single damn time you talk about Tabs. I know you have a wonderful cat now BUT I am TELLING you you haven’t lived until you get a Siberian. So you need one more. I got my first one nine months ago and I had to get another. Their behavior and personalities are just something else. They are cats but they’re so different from all of my other cats I’ve had, who I of course loved, but a Siberian is just a different thing altogether… almost.
Congratulations on your 700th edition of Sunday with Tabs!! 🎉🎉 I miss Tabs as well, he had such a dynamic personality and sense of style. 👑💜
My heart goes out to you on this topic❤. Alot of people do not understand how much you can love a pet. When our labradoodle passed away in February of 2020, my husband and I were devastated. He was our “first” child. I found this quote online…”Pets are small rays of light caught on Earth for a short time to brighten our days” – unknown. I know Tabs was extremely loved and was given the best life possible.
Sending you a hug, Mandy.
Tabs was a huge personality. You could see it in every photo. That kind of person leaves a huge hole when they go. He was a natural in front of the camera – quite seriously! I love that pic of him with the pink feathers – just scrumptious. And I have never seen a cat wear jewellery so well. Period.
Love that photo of Rosie lying on the warm earth – I have one of Odin squeezing himself into a flower pot for the same heat-seeking reasons…
Both are so precious in their own way, and I can imagine how much you miss Tabs.
