Butter soft jersey? Check. Wrinkle-resistant fabric? Check? Super cute prints? CHECK!
Fighting Eel Clothing is my new favorite fresh find from Hawaii.
They’re a luxury resort-wear line based out of Honolulu, and everything they make is designed and sewn locally. Their clothes — a mix of rompers, pants, dresses, shirts and cardigans — are comfortable and chic, with prints inspired by local floral and fauna.
I recently bought the Nadine Cardigan ($143), a functional piece that you can dress up (throw it on top of a little black dress) or down. I’m wearing it with jeans and a white tee for a more causal vibe.
Did I mention it also has pockets? Yeah, that pretty much sealed the deal for me.

I purchased it at the Fighting Eel store at the Kahala Mall, however if you’re not on Oahu at the moment, you can also buy it online!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

So cute! What are those jeans you’re wearing?
Thanks, Rachel! They’re from Banana Republic, and I got them last year (spring 2021, I think). Gotta love a baby bootcut!
Awesome! Baby bootcut is my preferred denim shape! I see Old Navy has some high rise bootcut jeans right now, might have to check them out!
Happy Friday!
The print is very cute indeed, it suits you well.
I really like the way you styled this! It won’t be cardigan weather here for probably 3 months but a girl can dream. Happy Friday!
Wow!! That cardigan is absolutely beautiful!!
Yay! Thank you for supporting Fighting Eel! Fun fact: my husband used to work with one of the owners in the restaurant biz last century/early this century. They do have lovely stuff. Their fish print is one of my favorites…I have a grey tote bag (which I used to run around the week before Rad and I got married because it’s so roomy and has pockets big enough for Hydroflasks) and two pillows in the living room in blush shades in that print. Somehow, those faceless fishies look so cheery to me!
Their store downtown is bigger and therefore more dangerous to my wallet.
Are you still on Oahu?
Ohhhh how I love this cardigan!! I’m gonna check them out. Thanks Karen!
