A lot? A little? Not any at all? Or are ya somewhere in between?
For the past few weeks, I’ve been doing the absolute bare minimum. After doing skin care, I fill in my brows with pencil (Anastasia Brow Wiz 4 Life), curl my lashes, and then I plop on a couple coats of YSL Faux Cils. It’s enough to get me through the day, LOL!
If I look extra tired, which has been the case lately, then I’ll dot a little bit of under my eyes and set with powder. For the past few months I’ve been using Hourglass Veil Retouching Fluid, but I’m thinking about switching to YSL Touche Eclat! Even though it’s been several years since I’ve worn Touche Eclat, I’ve really been into revisiting old tried and true favorites from back in the day to see if I still like them, and for the most part they’re still solid performers. I guess they’re classics for a reason!
I’m looking forward to putting on a little bit more makeup now that I’m starting to feel better (like what I’m wearing in the look at the top). I’m thinking a little bit of blush and lipstick will do me a whole lotta good.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I’m glad you are feeling better! After round 2 with Covid back in August, I have been thankfully free of any additional viruses. Makeup still a minimum here – YSL Bare Look Tint (no spf but my favorite for sheer coverage), Ilia color stick in Whisper on cheeks, lips, and eyelid, and a coat of Vapour Mesmerize Mascara in Jet.
I’ll have to try that YSL Bare Look Tint. I’m on a YSL kick, as you can see!
Stay healthy!
So glad you and the family are starting to feel much better. Doctors are predicting an upsurge in viral illnesses this winter because we haven’t been exposed to them in the past two years, particularly young kids who hadn’t been going to school or day care.
My make up is minimal to non-existent these days. Been trying out new sunscreens (mostly Korean and Japanese) and sampling some of the newish foundations. So far none of the foundations are winners for me. Today it’s a sample of Haus Labs Triclone Foundation and Lancome Idole mascara. That’s it.
I think that’s what happened to us; even though Connor’s been in school, everyone was masked in the fall last year. Now all the bugs are hitting us!
If you find a new sunscreen you like let me know. I’ve been using the Instree and it’s just OK.
I was just about to order the Isintree. Are you using the Natural Sun Cream or the Watery Gel version of it? What do you like or not like about it?
I’ve been wearing less foundation lately, but bought Dr. Jart BB Tinted Moisturizer (it has SPF 40) at the recent Sephora sale, and I really like it!
You look stunning and radiant in the photo with today’s post. May I ask what your lipcolor is? The whole look is gorgeous!
Hi Maricar!
Thank you. The lipstick is Laura Mercier Jeanne with a little bit of clear lip balm on top.
Honestly, almost none! I’ve been using eye drops because of chronic eye dryness and those don’t mix well with eye makeup, LOL! I do my brows on a good day and conceal any blemishes.
I feel ya girl. Brows are like my whole look these days. LOL!
I keep my basic routine, which is probably not that basic to most: eyeshadow, liner, mascara, concealer, blush. Lipstick when I feel like it.
