So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

It’s a gold necklace shaped like a coral branch, but for some reason people sometimes think it’s an antler. LOL!
3. Something that helps your day get off to a good start?
Coffee, for sure, but the biggest thing that helps is going to bed the night before at a decent time. Eight hours of sleep works wonders.
4. Ice skating or roller skating?
Roller skating, babe. Let’s make those “Xanadu” dreams come true!
5. Last time you saw snow?
Fall of 2021, when we visited Tahoe.
6. Have you taken your holiday decorations down yet?
Nope! I thought I was going to do it today, but I think I’ll wait until Connor goes back to school tomorrow.
7. Last person you chatted with on the phone?
El Hub. He called to tell me he was coming home early from work.
8. Wide leg or boot cut?
I like both, but let’s go with wide leg, baby.
9. Heels: low, medium or high?
Low or medium. I can do high for short amounts of time, but the shoes have to be just right.

1. Eyeshadow or lipstick? Lipstick – being a redhead I HAVE to have mascara or my eyes disappear but I can forego the shadow.
2. Your favorite necklace? From Lita Sea Glass – it’s an oval of aqua sea glass set in silver.

5. Last time you saw snow? A week ago, we had 4 inches just before Christmas.

9. Heels: low, medium or high? Low (I used to love heels…my body says no now)
1. Eyeshadow or lipstick? Eyeshadow. I started wearing makeup on a regular basis in 1960. That decade saw us moving away from the velvet red lip of the fifties. The sixties were all about the eyes with a softer, glossier lip.
2. Your favorite necklace? I’ve acquired some beautiful jewelry over the decades and have several pieces that have sentimental importance, but I can’t really say that one is my favorite.
3. Something that helps your day get off to a good start? A pot of Golden Monkey tea.
4. Ice skating or roller skating? At my age, neither.
5. Last time you saw snow? Yesterday. It doesn’t actually snow here, but our local mountains get snow. We don’t experience the snow fall, but we see the snow covered mountains and it’s beautiful.
6. Have you taken your holiday decorations down yet? Yes
7. Last person you chatted with on the phone? My husband called to see if I wanted him to pick something up for lunch on his way home.
8. Wide leg or boot cut? I prefer straight, but a runner up would be boot cut. I”m way too short for wide leg.

As much as I love my red lipstick, I wear more eyeshadow.

A dainty one with a little star. Just because, it hold no special meaning for me.
3. Something that helps your day get off to a good start?
One cup of Earl Grey, hot and sweet.
4. Ice skating or roller skating?
Neither nor, I never learned it as a child and now I am afraid I will break all bones in my body when I try.
5. Last time you saw snow?
We actually had snow in November here in Germany.
6. Have you taken your holiday decorations down yet
No. In Germany the tree stays up until January 6th.
7. Last person you chatted with on the phone?
A friend of my daughters that called to ask if she wanted to come over (she is eight, so she doesn’t have her own phone yet). I am much more a text only person.
8. Wide leg or boot cut?
Boot cut ever since I was 14.
9. Heels: low, medium or high?
I love the look of high, but can only handle medium occasionally or low on a more regular.
