Good morning, sweet girl. Guess who’s already finished her second cup of coffee and is about to dive into her third?

I usually only do one or two cups max on a daily basis, but I can feel a migraine coming on and coffee always works WONDERS. So, a third cup it is.
Speaking of coffee, today’s mission is to go furniture shopping to find a coffee table. We’ve been using Connor’s craft table for months, LOL!

She has no problem with it, but I think it’s time to remedy that situation.
This week’s reading
- The truth about cats and daughters.
- The new museum exhibit Des Cheveux et des poils (Hair & Hairs) features the art of the hairstyle.
- Regarding pre-wash hair oils: “The main benefit of pre-wash oils is that of an emollient, which provides a coating over the hair shaft, which seals the cuticle and traps moisture inside.”
- According to derms, these are the best pillowcases for acne-prone peeps.
- Now on my wish list: Rare Beauty liquid blush.
I’m intrigued.
Let’s dance!
No makeup makeup in nine minutes? Yes, please.
I hope your weekend is off to a wonderful start. I know you’ve probably got a million things to do, but please take some time today to rest. It’s important.
Take care and talk soon!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Happy Saturday! It’s hard to stop at 1 cup of coffee when you have a Nespresso! It’s so good! I made Jennifer Garner’s sweet potato chili while the girls were napping today. It’s the second time I’ve made it. It’s tasty and healthy!
Rooting for you to head that migraine off at the pass!!!… can ruin your whole day 😣. Good luck with finding a coffee table. Was looking forward to to a gals’ game night with my friends but now there is a winter storm advisory. An evening curled up inside it is!
My husband went out to get a tattoo today (an artist he likes had a cancellation) so Hettie, Mabel, and I took naps and are watching Sailor Moon.
Hope you were able to nip that migraine in the bud before it hit full bloom. I found coffee helped with my migraines too. Luckily, I haven’t had one in a while (knock wood). Might be a benefit of having gone through menopause.
Dear Husband got up and offered to run downtown to get me a decaf cappuccino before he did his morning exercise. When he came back with my cup he was worried it wouldn’t be up to my expectations as there was a new barista he didn’t recognize. Young dude, tall enough to play basketball. Lol. I asked if he was Italian and Dear Husband said he didn’t hear him speak so he couldn’t tell. The cafe I frequent is Italian owned and occasionally they send over baristas from Italy. What a treat taste wise and visually too!
Good luck finding a coffee table you like.
The Rare Beauty Liquid Blush is all that and then some! Blends like a dream, looks so natural and pretty. Word of caution: It is CRAZY pigmented. Start with a teeny dot. I have Joy, a peach shade that looks neon orange out of the tube but blends to a pretty, dewy flush.
Oh dear, I hope you coffeed the migraine away…
I also have migraine and am curious how you know it is coming. Oftentimes when I get it my brain gets so dumb I recognize it much too late. In hindsight I can say I am sooo tired one or two days beforehand and have a massive craving for chocolate or something sweet on the day I get it. And my neck gets tight. Interestingly a neck and shoulder massage and sometimes a warm foot bath helps me with migraine…
Pre-wash oiling has made a world of a difference to my hair, because I live in an area with very hard water. I looove coconut oil for it. My hairdresser said at the last trim that I had no split ends – that‘s very rare for me…
Oh, I hope your migraine gets better! Coffee, a little bite of something, low noise, low light, low stimulation usually help mine, even if for just an hour. Rare beauty is awesome. The blush, a little (& I mean a little), goes a long way. One little bottle will last you forever. But it’s a great go to & you can build it up without looking too clownish, just be careful because holy pigment!
