I wish my looks were as fun as Connor’s. The other day she asked if she could play with makeup, and this is what she came up with. Not a boring brown eyeshadow or neutral lip in sight, unlike yours truly, LOL!

In addition to the hot pink leopard-inspired dots and the blue brows, she also used the lipstick as a stain on her lower lip, too.
Oh, and peep the tiny hot pink heart placed strategically at the corner of her eye!

Oh, this age is so much fun. I feel like I say that about every current age she’s in, but this one has been a blast, especially when I see her stretch her creativity.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

How fun! I follow Shu Uemura cosmetics on Instagram and their Japanese makeup artist sometimes puts green in the brows.
With my Dear Daughter the sweet spot was between 6 yrs and 12 yrs old. Then we went through a tiny rough patch in late junior high early high school. After that it was mostly smooth sailing with a bump in the road come college apps and leaving for college.
Enjoy your time with your creative, beautiful child. I’m missing mine.
Ooh, I just looked at the Shu Uemura Insta page and I’m loving the creative things they do with liner. So cool! I’m feeling kinda inspired. 🙂
Thank you for reminding me to enjoy this time. I am so lucky to have her and cherish the time I get to spend with her.
Are you enjoying this beautiful weather? It’s so nice outside but my allergies are in full force!
I love seeing what the makeup artists at Shu Uemura can come up with. I really think one of their male models is super hot, too. Lol.
I’m always touched now when Dear Daughter says something like, “Remember the time we….” and it’s always some silly little thing I never thought she’d remember. But it’s usually just time spent with each other.
My allergies are killing me. By the time I’m ready for bed I can barely breathe I’m so stuffed up. And that’s after doubling up the allergy meds. I cannot wait until my neighbor’s tree is done shedding pollen. I may have to have the house power washed because that side is completely yellow from pollen.
I’m already finding the weather too hot for my taste. It’s been hitting 80 down this way, hotter tomorrow. Ugh. Have I mentioned I’m a winter person?
I scrolled through the Shu Uemura feed this morning while eating breakfast and saved several posts for inspiration. I love how they do chic and editorial without it looking overly done.
Your daughter is so lucky to have those memories with you! 🙂 Hoping one day that Connor and I have a similar story.
Oh, re: allergies. I got back from drop off and a brief walk around the neighborhood and now my throat is all itchy. Can’t wait until whatever is blooming is finished doing what it needs to do!
Connor will remember all the love and attention you give her!
I love to see all the beautiful blooming plants that spring brings. But for life of me I cannot figure out what is making my allergies so unbearable this spring. I’m just hoping that as we segue into summer it doesn’t get unbearably hot.
I’m not ready for the heat. I definitely love colder weather more than I used to!
I checked the weather earlier today and it’s supposed to rain next week.
I’ll believe it’s gonna rain next week when I see it! But it would be a welcome relief. Hopefully it will wash some of the pollen away.
Growing up in Michigan I have always loved snow days!
Have a relaxing and great weekend!
Love the look on Connor! Very fresh and creative. And I bet you both had fun with it.
I love how she went all out on the look with hair and accessories and everything!
Hope you’re having a wonderful week, Gayle!
This is a great look on your baby girl! It’s so very sassy! By the way, she appears to understand that sequins have no limits.
Her motto is more is more when it comes to sparkles, LOL!
Hope all is well Pamela!
