I can’t begin to tell you how fun it was to visit a Hallmark store!
We went to one in the town next to ours, Petaluma, which is about 20 minutes away. I haven’t been to a Hallmark store in years, and I swear, being there made me so happy. There’s something very sweet and comforting about all the thoughtful gifts to give to others and to yourself.

There are all the fun things that you totally don’t need but want anyway, like the “Gilmore Girls” cookbook and the talking ornaments from “Schitt’s Creek” and “The Golden Girls.”

Don’t even get me started on all the colorful, cute mugs and tchotchkes.

There’s even a subsection of gifts for cat ladies!

Maybe it was because I was feeling a little hormonal, but I may or may not’ve gotten weepy a few times as I was window shopping, like when I saw this cuddly teddy with a message of strength and hope.

It was all over when I saw the Willow Tree figurines, especially the ones with families of three with a lil’ one.
Side note, I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s gotten teary all up in a Hallmark store, LOL!

We left with some gifts for loved ones, a small hummingbird charm for Connor, stationary and wrapping paper for myself, and lots of happiness in our hearts.

I can’t wait to go back!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Love this post! What a fun store too for someone that is Connor Claire’s age! So the time I got teary in a Hallmark: My mom and I were looking for baby books for my twins. I was probably about 30 weeks pregnant so we were both sitting on the floor paging through the baby books and both of us had tears streaming down our faces! LOL!
I knew I wasn’t the only one. 🙂 I bet it happens all the time!
I love Hallmark! I worked at one while I was in college. I still love their ornaments and take a peek at them every year online. My Christmas tree is all fun and games. We have a collection of Marvel, Pokemon, Harry Potter, Barbie, Star Wars, Minecraft, Disney, etc on the tree. All fun characters that our family has liked over the years.
Believe it or not, I own no Hallmark ornaments! I’m going to go back for some in a few weeks. 🙂
Wow, that’s a huge store! So many tchotchkes to clutter a house!
Was there any holiday wrapping paper yet? I still think Hallmark makes the best gift wrapping.
I love the photos of Connor hamming it up!
They had Christmas ornaments out but no holiday wrapping paper yet. I’ll probably be going back in a few weeks; I’ll let ya know if I see any!
BTW, I ended up getting a roll of heavyweight wrapping paper with bananas on it, LOL!
Yup, that’s why I love Hallmark, their wrapping paper is such a nice weight and you know any box designs on your gift are NOT going to show through. I also love the grid they print on the backside so you can cut at least a semi-straight line.
I want a Hedgehog mug! How cute!
There were so many cute things! I wanted them all. 🙂
They’ve closed just about all the Hallmark Stores that are anywhere near me – I’d have to check to see if the ones that are 6 miles away are still there! I used to shop there occasionally. I got some really great deals on Christmas ornaments many years ago when one closed and they wanted to sell everything out. I see it’s cool enough in your area to wear sweaters and jackets. Wow – it’s still 100 degrees and up here for the rest of the week. There’s finally rain in the forecast starting Saturday, so it might get a little cooler next week (but often the humidity just makes it feel like a steam bath after a rain here).
Wow, the store you went to looks big! The only time I ever shopped at Hallmark was for cards, wrapping paper, and bags. I never go to Hallmark anymore because I get the cards and gift wrapping at Dollar Tree. Glad you had a great time!
Karen, that is a huge Hallmark store!! Love it!! The ones I go to, are not as big. I’m in suburban Philadelphia, and we have quite a few Hallmarks nearby. I’m always going there for cards, because my husband has 6 brothers and sisters. For the past 30 plus years, I’ve picked out and sent birthday cards to my husband’s siblings. He really appreciates it. LOL!! Anyway, I love going to Hallmark too. They always play some nostalgic music as well, so it puts me in a really good mood. To make it even better, I’m a Gold Crown member, so they send me reward coupons quite frequently. Love, love, love it!!
On a side note, I was looking for reviews, for a new lipstick brand that I discovered. It’s called Runway Rogue. They are located in Costa Mesa, CA. They carry a lot of shimmery, throw back shades. Anyway, I was on YouTube, looking for reviews. I came across a reviewer (Beauty101byLisa). Karen, she reminded me so much of you!! You two don’t look identical, but you look related, like you could be cousins or sisters. She’s so pretty, and her review on the lipsticks was very engaging. Check her out, and tell me what you think. As soon as I saw her, I thought…Karen from MBB!!
Hi Sherry,
Your husband is so lucky to have you help with the cards. You are such a thoughtful partner!
I just looked up Lisa’s channel and she is so beautiful and seems so cheerful and helpful; I’m flattered that you thought of me! 🙂
