Pick a holiday movie – “Elf” or “A Christmas Story”? Watching “Elf” is always fun. I love its good natured silliness.
Fruit cake or egg nog? I really do like a good dark fruitcake. It should be chock full of autumn/winter fruits and nuts and aged in brandy soaked cheesecloth for at least a month so all the flavors mellow. I’m not a fan of the cakes that are made with loads of candied fruit.

What about a compromise—buy freshly baked cookies from a bakery 😃 We have a local bakery that always has a wonderful assortment of cookies. I like to get a dozen or so that are perfect with a cup of tea. They last us a few days.
Festive red nails or festive red lipstick? I love a red lip. Even at my age (80) with my thin dry lips, I’ll make the effort to properly prep my lips and carefully apply a gorgeous translucent red. It goes well with my silver hair and makes me feel oh so chic.
Pick a holiday movie – “Elf” or “A Christmas Story”? “Elf.” I’ve seen “A Christmas Story,” and I think it was written for my father’s generation – and he would be 92 if he were still alive. So I don’t relate to it.
