So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier?
I love both, but currently, I’d go with Westman Atelier.
2. Have you ever used a fake ID?
Nah. I was too much of a rule follower to really care about one, and back in the day, even if I wanted one, I’d have no clue about where to start.
3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping?
Honestly both sound like nightmare scenarios for me. Um, I guess skinny dipping? At least that way, I’d come out of the situation in one piece and with no broken bones.
4. Lip brush or an angled eye brush?
Angled eye brush. I’d get more use out of it!
5. Something nice you can do for yourself today?
Honestly, go to bed early tonight. Oh, and make sure I eat enough protein; it really does make a difference in my energy levels and mood.

I haven’t tried Westman Atelier but I would like to. Charlotte Tillbury has some great lipsticks so I’ll go with her.

Yes – when I was in college all I wanted was to to be able to go into a bar instead of looking for random frat parties to drink at! What a dumb goal!

Motorcycle – I had an ex boyfriend who was into motorcycles and it was so fun riding on them!

1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier? I’ve only tried the stick foundation from Westman Atelier back when Barney’s was still around. My skin didn’t like it then and I suspected the coconut oil. I’m yet to try any other WA products so I’ll stick with CT for now.

3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping? Been on a motorcycle with someone before and I was a nervous wreck. Skinny dipping at night in a pool wouldn’t be so bad

I grew up as a policeman’s daughter in a small town. There was no where that required an ID and literally everyone in town knew me.😄

Ride a motorcycle.

Lip brush. A necessity for the perfect red lip!

I took a few minutes to have a nice cup of tea while listening to my favorite podcast with the window open to the beautiful spring weather.
1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier? Uh, I only use one product from either of these lines. So neither really.

3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping? Ride a motorcycle. At least I get to keep all my clothes on and wear a cool looking leather.

5. Something nice you can do for yourself today? Work out (which I already did) and step away from the sugar.
1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier? Westman Atelier. I love her blush sticks, translucent powder, and Peau de Pêche. I’ve never gotten along with CT products—too glitzy, too warm, too starlet/glamazon in esthetic.

3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping? They both sound like fun. Back in the day, I used to do both. Now they’re both off the table. No motorcycle rides because I have osteoporosis and worry about broken bones. No skinny dipping because I don’t want to scare anyone! Lol
4. Lip brush or an angled eye brush? Lip brush. Because my lips are old, a brush helps me get a nice smooth and even application of lipstick.
5. Something nice you can do for yourself today? Today was a day filled with errands so I’m looking forward to an early night.
1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier? I’ve only tried CT. I have the Pillow Talk quad that looks kind of pink online but in reality skews slightly orange. Not sure how I feel about it yet. I’ll probably overlay it with another color to tone down the orangy-ness.
2. Have you ever used a fake ID? No. They were all the rage when I was in high school, and the drinking age was already low at 18! That bunch of 15-17 year olds wanted to drink so badly! I never did. My mother emphasized that there were alcoholics on both sides of my pedigree, and I also knew that I was so unhappy I could easily become an alcoholic if I developed a taste for it. I live in an area that has a lot of alcoholics who would swear to you that they aren’t alcoholics. These jerks throw beer bottles in my yard. Had to pick up 3 of them today, and this is a so-called “good” neighborhood.
3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping? Neither. Motorcycle helmets are uncomfortable (my brothers had a motorcycle and motorbike when they were kids, so I know what they feel like). I’ve heard that hospital employees call motorcycle riders “organ donors.” The last time I had the body to skinny dip I was 11 years old.
4. Lip brush or an angled eye brush? Both. A lip brush is a necessity for doing bold colors. Angled eye brush is useful, but not 100% essential.
5. Something nice you can do for yourself today? Try to sleep. I think it’s been at least 25 years since I’ve had what’s considered a normal night’s sleep. I wake up and then can’t get back to sleep for upwards of two hours.

I’ve never tried Charlotte Tilbury, but now that it’s at Ulta maybe I’ll give it a go.

I went skinny dipping with friends (one female, one male) in a lake when I was in my twenties. It was dark out so no big deal.

Angled eye brush. Every lip brush I’ve owned has proved annoying to use and difficult to clean.
5. Something nice you can do for yourself today?
Try to stop ruminating. It’s after 2AM where I live so I’m not doing a good job of it.
1. Charlotte Tilbury or Westman Atelier? CT is OK, but I haven’t tried Westman Atelier. Probably neither.
2. Have you ever used a fake ID? No need – when I was underage, I wasn’t interested in drinking.
3. Would you rather ride a motorcycle or go skinny dipping? Probably skinny dipping, but neither is really appealing.
4. Lip brush or an angled eye brush? Angled eye brush – don’t really need a lip brush.
5. Something nice you can do for yourself today? Probably not a lot today. I have meetings from 7:30 through 3 straight and then a work dinner at 6. Maybe I can turn off the all-day meeting at lunchtime and get some peace.

I’ve only tried Charlotte with great results. I love her dewy, sexy makeup looks and products. I know Gucci Westman but I think her products are super expensive. Right?
