So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).

Um, neither right now because of allergies! If the pollen wasn’t so cray, then outdoor movie.
2. Hat or sunglasses?
Both please.
3. Lemonade or iced tea?
Iced tea with crushed ice!
4. Shorts or a maxi dress?
Shorts with pockets and an oversized tee.
5. Ice cream or popsicle?
Ice cream!

1. Outdoor concert or outdoor movie? Depends on the time of year. Now it’s so hot and humid that both are unthinkable. In a better time of year (think mid-April or November), I think I’d pick a concert. I haven’t seen a drive-in movie since around 1973, I think, and no one I know has invited me to see one using the new technology at their home. By the way, it was Daylight Saving Time that caused the death of the drive-in, because families couldn’t wait until it got dark (around 9:00 PM DST) to take their kids to see movies, and the kind of low-grade movies they started running (for the 16-25 year-old demographic) ran into a lot of opposition from those around them.
2. Hat or sunglasses? Hat most of the time, though I know I should wear sunglasses, too. I have to wear corrective lenses to drive, so I wear corrective sunglasses driving about 90% of the time.
3. Lemonade or iced tea? Lemonade. Tea tastes weird to me, though I have family members who like it.
4. Shorts or a maxi dress? Maxi dress. If I were young and had decent-looking legs, I’d picks shorts.
5. Ice cream or popsicle? Ice cream. Popsicles melt too fast in this climate.
1. Outdoor concert or outdoor movie? Outdoor concert. I used to go to the Hollywood Bowl, Universal Amphitheater, and the Greek Theater. It was a summer tradition.
2. Hat or sunglasses? Sunglasses year round; a good sunhat when the weather is bright and sunny.
3. Lemonade or iced tea? I love fresh squeezed lemonade over lots of crushed ice–so refreshing. I also love the tropical passion iced tea.
4. Shorts or a maxi dress? I don’t wear shorts, but I’ll wear a lightweight maxi dress.
5. Ice cream or popsicle? Ice cream, please; preferably gelato.
1. Outdoor concert or outdoor movie? Hard to choose. Used to go to Berkeley Shakespeare which was outdoors.

3. Lemonade or iced tea? Iced tea, just no ice because it melts and dilutes it. So chilled tea?
4. Shorts or a maxi dress? Ugh. Don’t really like either. I guess maxi at least that way my legs will be covered.
5. Ice cream or popsicle? Both. Or better yet a creamsicle with popsicle outside and ice cream inside. Yum!

2. Hat or sunglasses? Sunglasses, I have too much hair for most hats and I’m not even sure I have any baseball caps at this point.

1. Outdoor concert or outdoor movie? Concert. We go to a 4th of July concert every year. Take chairs, wine & a picnic, it’s traditional patriotic orchestra music & ends with fireworks
2. Hat or sunglasses? Sunglasses but both if on the beach or hiking
3. Lemonade or iced tea? Ice tea – drink it non stop
4. Shorts or a maxi dress? Maxi dress – shorts are hard to find that both fit & flatter
5. Ice cream or popsicle? Ice cream. Once or twice in the summer we get ice cream and waffles from a place in our little town. Delicious
