So…what is the Monday Poll?
Excellent question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007).
1. Apple pie or cheesecake?
Ideally both, ha! You know I’m down for double dessert. If I had to pick one right meow, though, I’d do cheesecake.
2. Something summery that you love?
Cold lemonade with lots of ice on a hot day. Early mornings when it’s comfortably warm enough to go outside in shorts and a t-shirt. The smell of beachy sunscreen.
3. Tofu: yes or no?
Yes! Love it, but I’m picky about how it’s prepared.
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today?
I’m still on a Rare Beauty kick (side note, I just bought some more things this weekend), so their Glossy Lip Balm in Nearly Apricot is chillin’ in my purse today.
5. Setting spray or powder?
Setting spray, please. I’m old school–Urban Decay All Nighter all the way!

2. Something summery that you love? I love feeding the hummingbirds, the feel of the sun, bronzer, sandals, the smell of Sun Bum

4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? Milani Fruit Fetish lip oils (obsessed with these)
5. Setting spray or powder? Both. I love MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and I love MAC Prep & Prime spray
1. Apple pie or cheesecake? Can go for a big piece of cheesecake right now! Maybe with strawberries? Yum
2. Something summery that you love? Iced cold cocktail sitting by a pool on a sunny day!
3. Tofu: yes or no? Not a fan!
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? Makeup free today so none!
5. Setting spray or powder? Spray! More refreshing!
1. Apple pie or cheesecake? Tough call. I limit cow dairy due to eczema, so apple pie is a safer choice but I love them both.
2. Something summery that you love? Fresh brewed kombucha tea (I make my own – this weeks flavors are orange hibiscus and strawberry mint – kombucha starter kit and flavorings from Farmhouse Teas in Oregon.
3. Tofu: yes or no? Yes, I eat a mostly plant based diet. Made “Chicken” Divan last night with Butler Soy Curls which are made of Tofu but when soaked in water plump up into chicken type strips – but way cheaper than faux chicken strips and NO salt or funky ingredients you can’t pronounce!
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? Ilia stick for lips, cheeks, or eyes.
5. Setting spray or powder? Neither, I rarely wear foundation or blush, just a little cream eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick.
Happy Birthday, Karen! So glad you had a great birthday and got to have tea like you wanted. That looks like such a cute place.

2. Something summery that you love? I guess seeing summer flowers in bloom. In my area this would be zinnias, crape myrtles, oleander, pentas, marigolds, mostly.
3. Tofu: yes or no? Not sure I’ve ever eaten it.
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? I’m at home, so it’s all here. I use lip balm mostly, when I’m at home.
5. Setting spray or powder? Powder. I think most, if not all, setting spray is essentially hair spray, and the chemicals in it aren’t that good for your skin.

2. Something summery that you love? Sunshine makes me happy so I love the long days and of course being able to step out in a tee and shorts
3. Tofu: yes or no? Yes, it should well seasoned and firm
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? I am working from home so its lip balm but I am currently obsessed with Ilia lip sketch pencils
5. Setting spray or powder? Setting spray and only the urban decay one.

1. Apple pie or cheesecake? Apple pie but without the crust. I love a warm fresh apple filling with a hint of cinnamon.
2. Something summery that you love? Homemade lemonade with raspberry or iced green tea with peach—either one served over little chunks of ice.
3. Tofu: yes or no? No! And, that always surprises people because I’m a vegetarian.
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? Lisa Eldridge’s new lip balm in Épanoui
5. Setting spray or powder? I’ve always loved a very light touch of an ultra fine finishing powder.

Apple crumb pie, please. Can we heat that and throw a little vanilla ice cream on top?
2. Something summery that you love?
Sundresses and sneakers. Sandals. The smell of freshly cut grass. Watermelon. Blooming flowers (I will have to see what blooms here in summer now that I’ve moved to Virginia). Fireflies. Outdoor movies in a park.
3. Tofu: yes or no?
Resounding yes, but now I need to watch it due to kidney stones. Bah!

I’m at home so the array is vast.

Powder. Spraying my face with anything makes me nervous.

Sorry I’m so late with this. Did a road trip down to San Diego to bring our old car to Dear Daughter who just moved there to start work on her PhD.

2. Something summery that you love? Iced coffee and air conditioning set to 67F. I hate summer.
3. Tofu: yes or no? I’m spoiled by Japanese tofu. But in general, yes.
4. A piece of makeup that you have with you today? Didn’t bring any makeup on the roadtrip. Just lots of sunscreen.
5. Setting spray or powder? Powder in my T zone. Used to have acne prone, oily skin and I still love matte. And the setting sprays I’ve tried smell like hair spray. Yuck.
