New York Fashion Week is just about over, but I’m not ready to let go quite yet.
Today I had some time during my lunch break to play, so I tried to re-create the makeup from last week’s Agent Provocateur runway show.
Inspired by a 70s fetish club, this sultry look features red lips and teal eyes. MEOW!

I’d never think to pair these colors together, but this look turned out surprisingly wearable. I might actually rock this someplace other than my living room, ha!
If ya want a tutorial, gimme a holler in the comments. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

What products did you use?
Of course I’d like a tutorial. 😀

Hi Evelyn,
Sure thing. 🙂 How’s your Friday going?
What? This looks super hot on you Karen! I would love to see the tutorial. I think you are rocking the duo better than the model above actually 😛

Hi Stephie,
LOL, thanks! I kinda want her plaid top, to tell you the truth…
HAWT! 😀
Hi Gn.,
🙂 How are ya? Got any plans for the weekend?
You look so beautiful!!! Products please!!!
Hi Katherine,
I’m on it, girl!
Happy Friday!
That looks great! Could you do a tutorial on smokey eyes (and variations like this teal one) if you haven’t already? That would be lovely. 🙂
Hi Pinksoysauce,
Yup yup! I’ll try to knock one out in the next few days.
That’s an awesome look Karen. I’ve been trying to pair unexpected combos of eyes and lips. It keeps it interesting. Why should there really be boundaries as long as it’s well done?
Hi Shontay,
Thanks! These unexpected combos are kinda fun. What lip/eye shades have you been pairing together?
Happy Friday, btw!
Oh, this is stunning! Yes, Kate would love a tutorial.
Now that I’m thinking about it, I do have a HiP liner in teal that I could…
Did you get my link, by any chance? It’s an idea page for your living room that I did for you based off that picture you linked me to. My internet has been on ze fritz. It’s driving me batty!
Zena decided she was a cheetah today on her walk and practically dragged me on the route. I swear that dog is going to be the end of my feet.
Hi Kate & Zena,
Zena is a pup with many sides. At least she gives you a workout, right?
Okay, I am either blind or a little bit crazy from the lack of sleep, but I can’t seem to find the link you sent!! I would love to see it.
How is school going? Do you have a lot of studying to do this weekend?
One word, HAWT!

Hi Hafsa,
Thanks babe!
Have you been wearing your new blush this week?
I am not sure if I can rock the teal and red together like you do, but I think I would try a indigo eye and red lip or maybe violet or hot pink lip.
.-= amy’s last blog post… John Masters Organics Shine On Leave in Hair Treatment =-.
Hi Amy,
Aww, you gotta try it at least once! Just rock it in your living room and then see how you feel.
BTW, I’m loving the idea of a violet eye and hot pink matte lip. Must try that ASAP!
Got any plans for the weekend?
u’re really fun!! love the red lips!!

Hi Dimpy,
LOL, I wish it was some sort of magical youth-inducing fruit, but alas, it’s just concealer. It helps a lot!
As for the violet lips, here’s the tutorial on how to get a similar look.
Looking FAB!!!!!
Hi Sandra,
Thank you! And happy Friday, WOOT!
Teal eyes!!! Yes, Karen, please do a tutorial. One of my fav colors.

Hi Vonvon,
Yay, another teal girl! What are your favorite teal shadows? Do you have a cream one you can recommend? I’m still on the hunt…
Give us the tutorial 🙂 I’m pretty interested in how did you did your hair. It’s looks fabulous with natural soft curls. I want it too:)
.-= Tavia’s last blog post… Autumn came! How do you treat our skin? =-.
Hi Tavia,
Before going to bed, I put in some leave-in conditioner and then braided my hair into a thick, loose braid. In the morning I took the braid out and then curled the bangs and the front pieces with a large-barreled curling iron. After letting the hair cool for about 20 minutes, I ran my fingers through the curls to break them up and then sprayed them with flexible hairspray to set. That’s it! 🙂
Karen, that looks great! I never would have thought to try that color combo. I would love to know what products you used. I have been looking into getting some teal colored eye shadow and I have been on the lookout for the perfect red lipstick.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Toni,
Happy Friday!
I ended up using a bunch of MAC. Some of it is limited edition (boo!), but I’ll find equivalent colors from the permanent line for ya.
Do you ever do any unexpected color combos? This is my first venture, and so far I’m really liking it!
I want I want! I love the eye look Karen!
A definite yes to the tutorial please!
Love the teal eyes! So hot. I bought some teal pigment, it is sitting in my drawer — I have been to afraid to wear it LOL I need to break it out because I love that look!
That looks great, I’d love to see a tutorial!!! I think the looks would be completely identical if you added in fake eyelashes and some black eyeliner, but I also love it the way you did it!
Hi Jenna,
I’ll add those in when I do the tut! 🙂
Love this! You look hot!
Tutorial fo’ sho’! Por favor… 🙂
Yes, a tutorial please. The teal looked great with your yellow blouse/dress.

Hi Meream
Sho’ nuff, girlie!
Have i gone 30 years back? lol
Karen, I haven’t done any unexpected color combos in a long time. I really want to do some of the trendy stuff without looking like I am trying to hard to regain my youth! LOL! I just stopped by Ulta today and picked up 2 shadows by NYX in Pacific and Lime Green. Since they are on sale, I might stop in again and look for a teal colored one.
Thanks for all you do and have a fabulous weekend!
.-= Toni’s last blog post… Downsizing My Stuff =-.
Hi Toni,
I hear ya. I have that issue often — especially when it comes to clothes. I need to really stop shopping in the juniors section, LOL!
Pacific and Lime Green sound so pretty! Hmm, maybe do a conservative slice of either color on the lid and then add some thick liner? That might look sassy without being too Hot Topic.
Total hotness! Love the hair!
.-= Lina’s last blog post… Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush Comparisons =-.
Hi Lina,
Thanks hon!
You look fierce with that look! You should definitely wear it somewhere other than your living room, LOL! Personally I think it’d look a little bit better with some black liquid liner, but it’s damn near close to perfection as it is 😉 And yes, I would love a tutorial!
.-= Rebecca’s last blog post… School, Stress, Comfort Food and Flowers =-.
Hi Rebecca,
Next time I give this a go I’ll add some black liner and maybe some falsies!
Yes on the tutorial! Were you trying to get your hair like Sasha Fierce?
.-= Marisol’s last blog post… SoCal Visit =-.
Hi Marisol,
OMG — yes! I couldn’t get it big enough. I think I lost my touch!
Hi Karen,
Well, I don’t really have a fav teal shadow. I just love the color and everything in that color would appeal to me.
How about the Estee Lauder Double Wear ShadowCreme in Sea Mist? How’s that? 🙂
