I’m so glad it’s Friday, ladies, and I’m looking forward to some high-intensity relaxation and makeup fun. I may bust out a brazen lip or sparkly eye and then park my bedazzled bum on the couch in front of the TV. That’s how I live on the edge. 🙂
Do you ever wear outrageously dramatic looks and then just stay at home? I do — a lot. What do you think of MAC Midnight Media lipstick for indoor fun? It’s a dark black matte lippie from the Style Black collection, and it’s something I’d probably wear a little more often at home than out of the house.

I got a coupon for free fruit at Edible Arrangements, a coupon for a free Bertolli Oven Bake meal, and free rental codes for the Redbox… so I’m having a totally guilt free weekend (in terms of $ but probably not calories, heh). I’ve been saving up for a treat when all my midterms/papers/homework/etc was done!

I’m excited because I have a life this weekend for once. Friday night dinner with a close friend. Saturday all day shopping and lunch with another close friend. Saturday night drive to Modesto to be with my fiance’s family. Sunday come home and get ready for a busy work week.

This weekend I’m throwing a salsa/guacamole party for some friends who have never had the life-changing experience of consuming properly made guacamole. Then, Ugly Betty!
This post made me laugh. My husband is always laughing at my weekend idea of “fun”. After my shower, I take my chosen makeup into the office and watch youtube videos of people applying makeup while I apply my own. I do this EVERY weekend. Yeah, I live for the weekends. 🙂
I am going to play around with the goodies I bought from the Magic,Mirth and Mischief collections. I also play around with outrageous looks when I am at home but I end up going out anyway because I like to see people’s reaction to it and get some feedback from girls and guys from makeup counters.

I haven’t done that a lot here at home because my mum keeps on giving me weird looks then but I have done that a LOT while in Ghent and if I was tired of studying… I used to do that with my roommate. She’d come up to the kitchen (my room and the kitchen are linked, hers was the floor below) and say: Karen, I need some make-up destraction. Then she’d do my makeup and I’d do hers. It was hilarious!

I intend to wash my backpack this weekend. Firstly, the last time it was washed was back in 2006. Secondly, it was my birthday on Tuesday and the very moment I stepped out of my building, a pigeon crapped on me big time. It wasn’t even a polite poo, it was like pigeon diarrhea. I had to send my recently dry-cleaned coat (which is white) back to the dry cleaners (of course I had to go to school covered in crap because I was already running late and the first thing I had in the morning was a test). So yea, top priority is washing my backpack. I’ve no idea how to do that but I’ll figure it out. 😀
Get some homework done ahead of time to break that procrastination habit, and hit up my friend’s birthday/housewarming party. I luff weekends.
I flew to MN to surprise my mom for her 60th birthday!
I love bold looks, but cannot wear them to work. Most of my bolder looks end up being home-only. I am the only person I know that puts on dark eyes/dark lipstick when doing yard work. This weekend I plan on doing yardwork while practicing my dark smokey-green eye that I plan to wear for Halloween.

Actually planned to go for a walk called the 7 bridges walk (a loop around Sydney harbour across 7 areas) BUT ended up staying home finishing up my assignment to be handed up tomorrow. What a let-down to a potentially fun weekend.
