Ala Moana is insane!! There was a mall somewhere in Oahu that had the best mashed potatoes I had ever had in my life, but I can’t remember which. I was only 8 at the time, so maybe I just hadn’t had very good mashed potatoes, but it seemed weird that Hawaii of all places is where I’d find the holy grail of smashed starches.

I’m 37 years old and I’m really into shimmery metallic eyeshadow lately. In the past week, I’ve bought 3 pots of a name-I-can’t-recall eyeshadow duos from a local beauty supply store. The colors are cooper/gold; silver/ivory; and plum/brown. Today I’m wearing a grey eyeshadow with subtle shimmery flecks by Jordana and silvery eyeliner. I love it.

I finally made it home for the holidays! It only took 3.5 hours of driving and about 3 near accidents. Woo hooo!
After nearly 24 hours of travel, I made it to Denver for Christmas. I’m pooped!

i realized that my mother and hadn’t planned our christmas eve dinner out. so most of yesterday was spent in grocery shopping! how we could forget something as important as that, i’ll never know lol.

I wish I was with you in Hawaii. The Big Island is our favorite place. Instead, I’m sitting here in Michigan waiting for freezing rain in time for Christmas. Mybe we could trade palces for awhile, even if only in my dreams.

Ahh I just won a HUGE lot of prestige makeup for only $15. I really just wanted the one black shadow that I’ve been using as eyeliner, but 65 extra goodies is great. I’ll probably make them stocking stuffers for my friends or something. I’ve never tried any of their other products, I just kind of stumbled on the black eyeshadow, so I’ll definately be trying them out! If anything, it will be fun experimenting. :3

I just came back from Paris and London a couple of days ago and I was terribly lucky to have my flight arrive on time! I was dying from a few days of not visiting MBB — the hotel I was staying in Paris was charging 8 euros an hour for Internet access. Glad to be back and hope I haven’t missed much! Am catching up on the entries on my email feed. Hope you’re great in Hawaii!

This year i was very organized with my gift purchases. I kept my value limits and managed to buy really thougtful presents in perfect time-order for everyone. I took a second job for the holidays, in December, so i had extra cash and less time, leading to more planning. 🙂
