Did you catch the People’s Choice Awards last night? Country-crossover darling Taylor Alison Swift (who was ROCKING that cute lil’ white dress and silver heels, LOVE!), snagged the award for Favorite Female Artist of the Year. Go Taylor!
The young singer/songwriter’s (born December 13, 1989) career is on fire right now, but she’s been at this for a while. Who knew that the fourth grade national poetry contest she won for her three-page poem titled “Monster in My Closet” would eventually lead to this? Or that by age 10 she’d be composing and writing her own songs?
Her 2006 self-titled debut album exclusively featured songs she’d either written or co-written herself.
Yet Taylor’s talents do go beyond singing and writing. She also plays guitar (including the 12-string… that’s a LOT of strings, yo!), piano and ukulele.
And she’s even on her way to the silver screen, starring in the soon-to-be-released Valentine’s Day, with Julia Roberts, Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Alba.
Looks like the Kanye incident didn’t slow her down at all. Keep rockin’, T! 🙂

I love #1 and #7 — hair back with some loose pieces is elegant, but still youthful. That’s my favorite look for myself when I go to formal events. And it has the added bonus of allowing you to show off your earrings!
And how immature do I feel for analyzing hairstyles of a 19-year-old? Um . . . .

I guess waking up early for school has it’s perks… I get to be the first to comment (a first for me)! I can’t choose just one of Taylor’s many hairstyles. I’m quite jealous of how dreamy & princess-like her hair is. Wait! 1, 2 , 4, 6, & 7 – definitely not diggin’ those do’s 🙁

I loved her SNL monologue that she wrote all by herself. She said she didnt know that the writers did the monologues so she wrote a lil song and the writers loved it. I did too. I love that she can poke fun at herself and stuff thats happened to her (dating a JoBro OMG). Shes pretty and pretty awesome too!!!
1, 5 and 9 but I picked number 1 because she looks so good. I think she looks phenomenal with straight hair.
#3, #5, #8 and #9 are my favs, but I vote for #3 though, she’s so gorgeous that every hair style looks really great with her cute face 🙂
I actually liked #3, but I think I might like it better without the headband!
That said, I can’t see Taylor with completely straight hair. I’ve seen the “You Belong With Me” video many times (it’s on heavy rotation) and I really don’t like her with the straight brunette wig that she wears as the “popular” girl – too severe for her face. She’s better off with curly hair, or at least some waviness.

I like 3 and 4 truthfully. When I look at her, she reminds me of a young Faith Hill.
