Gah! Dr. Frankenbeauty is at it again, ladies. She’s combining the best traits of multiple makeup products to create … SUPER SOLDIER MAKEUP PRODUCTS!
These beauty hybrids combine the best of two different worlds. Just think — a lipstick with the texture of Chanel Rouge Coco and the price of Wet ‘n’ Wild ($1.99). Mwahahahahaa!
To play the Dr. Frankenbeauty game, think of one of your holy grail makeup favorites and what you could combine it with to make it even better. Then share your creation in the comments. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I totally want Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, but every time when I see the ingredient list, I was like, yikes. Maybe I should try some stuff from tarte.
P.S. Korres tinted moisturizer has not bad coverage, and it has natural ingredients, but it only works for me in the winter.
.-= Rica’s last blog post… FOTD with minerals… =-.
Thanks for the rec, Rica!
I’m not going to lie – part of the appeal of the Rouge Coco lipsticks is the feeling of luxury. By being so expensive they just make me feel… expensive?
But maybe thats because I have a crazy inferiority complex!
I voted for the tinted moisturizer with natural ingredients – I love the idea of it being really nice and effective but still all natural.
Me too. I love it when makeup feels luxe (but don’t always love the price, LOL!).
I voted for the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Too Faced Shadow Insurance packaging. I don’t think I’ll be buying the UDPP anytime soon, since my TFSI is so much easier to work with. I would also love the MAC Lipglass/Dior Creme de Gloss combo too (since I am a gloss addict).
Cool poll!
Hi Toni,
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend! 🙂
I first put two faced eyeshadow primer and then on top I put a mac paint. It lasts all day with no creasing.
Also, I love face primer, and I love the silicone feel to them. I have dry skin, but I have heard lots of people say they don’t like silicone primers. BUT, if you do, then you should try Monistat Anti Chaffing gel. I read about it on a forum somewhere, and is uber cheap and very silky.
Yah, a lot of ladies use Monistat for that purpose!
Have you used Tarte’s Clean Slate? It has that smooth, silicone-y feel to it.
” A tinted moisturizer with coverage like Laura Mercier’s and natural ingredients like Tarte Smooth Operator” <– Match made in heaven, I think!!! This to me would be perfection. If this product existed, I would use it everyday, summer or not. I love both TMs but LM's clogs my pores like cuhrayzeeeehhh. Tarte on the other hand, loves my skin but I find that I need to retouch around after lunchtime.
If I can have a runner up it would be "An eyeshadow primer with the power of Urban Decay Primer Potion and the packaging of Too Faced Shadow Insurance" … because my lids love UDPP the best but its packaging just frustrates the heckaouttame!!!
You’re not the only one! It drives a lot of people NUTS!
Bummer that you need to retouch the Tarte one after lunch… have you tried popping a primer beneath it? That might help up the staying power.
I love mixing Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation with a pea sized amount of Body Shop Radiant Highlighter. I keep the staying power and coverage minus a flat matte result and the more fluid texture is easier to work with.
I haven’t tried Double Wear but have heard GREAT things about it.
Oh my, what woud I not give to have a blush with the beautiful design of Sugarbomb and price of a cheekers blush, and maybe with the staying power of a creamblush.
.-= MaltEssence’s last blog post… Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Mar. 15 =-.
That would be awesome!
Hm…I would probably pick the formula of Clinique’s Lotion, but the smell and texture of Philsophy’s Hope in a Jar. I would LOVE that!
Or DiorShow Latisse. Big, dramatic lashes that feel healthier and thicker when you use them!
So, Clinique Dramatically Different in a Jar!
I haven’t used that in years! I used to love the gel version. 🙂
UD 24/7 eyeliners with the staying power of L’Oreal Infallible Eyeliner and the price of Maybelline (whatever the waterproof is) eyeliner ($5.00ish.) 24/7 stays on, but not like Infallible does.
Hi Ellen,
I don’t think I’ve ever tried Infallible before. How is it on the waterline?
Hehe…. Frankenbeauty. I would kill for a $2 Rouge Coco. What a fantasy that is! Hope you’re having a good weekend Karen.
You have a good weekend too, Sarah!
I just bought two Rouge Cocos and I want way too many more. I would love a $2 version. Then again, I’m a bit of a beauty snob, and I love carrying around a YSL or Chanel lipstick and knowing that it’s a beautifully packaged indulgence 🙂
Oooh, which colors did you get?
Urban Decay 24/7 Liners at the price of Wet and Wild 🙂
That would be pretty darn awesome!
I would definitely want Benetint lip balm with SPF crossed with a Nars Multiple — I want the color and SPF coverage of Benetint lip balm, but I want it in a stick, not a pot! When I met Jean Ford, I asked her if they’d ever do something like it (“will you ever put Benetint balm in a stick or a wand gloss form?”) and she said NO. Curses!
.-= Jeanne’s last blog post… Quick! Nailing it for Spring =-.
Funny you should mention this… I was just looking at my pot of Benetint Balm the other day and thinking the same thing!
Korres tinted moisturizer to me has the coverage of LM with natural ingredients. Not to mention SPF30. I love it! It’s the only tinted moisturizer I’ve ever been close to finishing!
I’ve heard good things about it! I’ll check it out next time I’m at Sephora.
Sugarbomb loveliness for the Covergirl price! I’ve had my eye on this blush for ages(ages i tell you!)but its exactly the $38 price tag that scares me away.
I picked other. I want a mascara that feels like – and doesn’t flake like EA Ceramide, and volumizes like plush lash (and/or Voluminous) while also lengthening like Clinique High Lengths… 🙂
I llove my CG cheekers blush,
Michele
