With highly saturated purples, bronzes, teals and gold, Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess summer collection salutes makeup mavens who love intense, rich color by thoroughly bringing on the bling (on counters now; check out some swatches here).
We took a look at Aqua Flash Liquid Eyeshadow and Orchid Lip Gloss earlier this month, and here are few more items from the collection.
Bronze Goddess Liquid Eyeshadows

If you wear warm shades well, the Molton Bronze, Violet and Sand Shimmer Liquid Eyeshadows ($17.50 each) might tickle your fancy.

They’re vibrant, long-wearing shadows that really rock the summer sparkle (remember Aqua Flash?).
Bronze Goddess Exotic Bronzing Blush

My heart broke a little when I busted into the pan of Exotic Bronzing Blush ($35). I just love those stripes!

I bet its mix of gold, light tan and peachy pink will POP on ladies with medium skin tones. I can also see it pairing well with one of my favorite MAC Lipglasses, the shimmery, peachy gold Nymphette.
Bronze Goddess Bronzing Gel

I’m not in love with the Bronzing Gel’s ($28.50) outfit like I am the packaging for the blush, but it gets points for the convenience (it’s a tube). NOTE: It’s a bronzer in gel form, *not* a self-tanner.

I’ve been applying a small amount (a little goes a long way) to the apples of my cheeks and down the center of my nose for a warming brown glow, subtle golden sparkle and dewy finish. If you get tan in the summer, it should really look great.
Well what do ya think? Has a Bronze Goddess caught your eye?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

i love those! i think i might have to get the violet one!
Yay! I hope you do. 🙂
WOw! I really want the gel, because I don’t like self-tanners and I only want something temporary. But is it waterproof? Hopefully…..I love the bronzer and blush, too. I am saving my moolah right now so I can run out and stock up on all the new summery products!
Ya know, I don’t know. It hasn’t been hot enough here for me to really test that out. When the weather warms up I’m gonna have to test that!
Tabs looks mad, is it because you chased him with a cat carrier yesterday?!
You know, I’m normally not an Estee fan, but I have to say-I’m really liking the looks of this collection!

That tricky beast! He really hates that thing. I dunno, maybe if I pimp it out somehow or BeDazzle it he’d be more into it…
The Violet is so pretty!!!! Estee Lauder is becoming more and more intriguing to me as I see more new stuff coming from them!!!
Tabs you are adorable in that picture … I hope youre feelin’ better! Linus & Anja say “hi!” …
They’ve gotten pretty darn cool is the last year or so! I wasn’t really into their stuff before, but they’ve been doing lots of color lately that I think is very wearable.
Tabs says “Meow-meow!” to Linus and Anja!
I wasnt as well … ive always thought they were for ehm … my older sisters. 😀
But youre right — theyre becoming edgier and trendier – which is great!!!
I love the Bronzing Gel, but I find that in summer, formulas like that tend to slip & slide in the humidity. I wonder how it wear when the weather heats up?
Hi Kristen,
Do you have a good face makeup primer? I find those make a huge difference in terms of stuff on when the humidity starts cranking.
Morning Karen!
Tabs is like “Yeah it’s Estee Lauder, now what?” 🙂
Of course I am loving the Violet liquid eyeshadow in particular!

I want to see you in that color! And the Aqua!
And I want to see myself in them also, lol!

I love some of the packaging and the name “Bronze Goddess” LOL. But in reality, I hate liquid eyeshadow, I don’t get tan so the gel bronzer would look hideous on me, and the last thing I need is another powder bronzer. Even if it is absolutely adorable with those stripes!

Yeah, I see how liquid eyeshadow can be a pain. This one’s actually more like a cream, though, so it’s easier to manipulate.
I am still crushing on the Aqua Flash liquid shadow – now you show me the violet? Oh what to do? Don’t even get me started on the blush/bronzer…..you’re killing my wallet!
Do it, babe! They’re really long wearing… should stand up to the Daly City fog nicely.
YAY! Lately, we have been blessed with sunshine – who knew?
Tabs, you are too adorable! Don’t get too mad at Karen, it’s for your own good! 🙂
The violet eyeshadow looks amazing!!!! I also love the bronzing blush. Unfortunately, I think I’m going to skip this collection- I’m saving up for a splurge on the MAC To the Beach collection.
I’m STOKED about that collection too. It’s gonna bankrupt me, LOL! I think it might be the best one I’ve seen since Smoke Signals and Barbie. Can’t wait!!
Ooh! That violet is SO pretty. As is Tabs 😉 Thanks for the great swatches, Karen!

That color would look pretty on you! Happy Tuesday!
I use the liquid form of Kitten from Stila underneath all my eye shadows, I bet that the sand shimmer would look nice under them too. I feel like theres a trip to the make up counter in my future. Once I get my car fixed first, I can’t get the boy to come to the mall with me 🙁 and he’s my ride for now.
Maybe you can bribe him with mall food? That always works for El Hub, LOL!
He does love the pretzel place. so that might work lol
I’m waiting for the Exotic Bronzing Blush to get here – its the only item in the collection to catch my eye so far

It’s pretty cool. Do you get tan in the summer?
Nope I hardly ever tan and its always summer here 🙂 I’m just worried its too dark

That violet liquid eyeshadow is really pretty 🙂
It actually reminds me of the vivid purple eye makeup the MA at MAC was wearing yesterday. I visited the new store in Ghent for the first time yesterday afternoon and she had the most amazing eye makeup. It was just brilliant. And she was really nice 🙂
.-= Karen B’s last blog post… Friday Fame: The Gibson Girl =-.
Oh nice. How was the store? Is it roomy and nicely laid out? I hope the MAs are nice!
It’s very nice. It’s not a big store but they’ve made better use of the store space available then in Antwerp, it feels a lot roomier.
And the MA helping me was just incredibly nice. She was like: do I know you from the store in Brussels? Or maybe you’re an actor with this or that theatre company?
So me: no, unfortunately not… hahahah

Nice Colors! I have the same problem with brand new makeup…the first time I use them it hurts just a bit…then.. well let’s dance!
Love the cat!

LOL, that’s Tabs. He’s a real character. 🙂
And yeah, I’m totally the same with fancy pans of powder and whatnot. It kills me softly to ruin the pattern, but once I get to dig in I’m like YEAH BABY!
Have a nice Tuesday!
Awww Tabs looks so beautiful! Love his green eyes 😀
The shadows are my favourite, helloooo purple! The blush is pretty too, but I’d love to see how it looks on my lighter skin. Thanks for the swatches! Have a nice day!

Hi Marce,
I know, the purple is to die for!
What are you up to today? Going to the pool?
Those liquid shadows are amazing! I love the purple!
As much as the products are high quality, I’m not excited by this collection. The shimmery shadows are nice, but I know I’d use them a few times, and they’d sit in my drawer collecting bacteria, and I’d just get rid of them. The blush looks like another peachy-pink-gold. The gel bronzer is not new. I had one from EL years ago, and just didn’t love the product, as it irritated my skin. Not as easy as powder bronzer which I can use all year long, and looks just as natural. Pretty collection though. I wanted to see lipsticks!
Hi Karen,
Stupid question but would you apply these with the stick provided or can you actually use your Mac brushes? I’ve never gotten the hang of liquid eyeshadows, they always seem to crease and look oily, I don’t know how you blend them like powder eye shadows?
I really like the Bronze and Violet but am reluctant to try them when I don’t have a clue how to use them properly!!
Thanks and have a great day!!
The violet one looks stunning! And I love how photogenic Tabs is! Do you have to coax him to stay in place, or does he just make love to the camera (I’m thinking it’s the latter, he always looks good ;))
Love that purple. Any idea how they wear on oily lids? I use a primer AND a paint pot and I still have issues with disappearing color.

The violet eyeshadow is stunning! I also love the blush, but I’m not sure it’d look good on my pale skin.

Your cat is so cute!!
I already got Violet shadow (sooooooo pretty!), and now I’m pondering picking up Sand to go with!
How are you? Are you loving this weather? 🙂
That gel bronzer looks pretty interesting, but what really caught my eye is that face Tabs is making: “Who ME?”

OMG! Karen, you already got me lemming for Aqua-Flash, and now with the swatches of the 3 more liquid eyeshadows…..I could feel another attack of my ‘pocket pain’ coming on….
The purple is gorgeous and is one of my fav colors too, and the bronze and champagne….perhaps I could pass them up…..but they are very beautiful too!!!!

Ah, I loooove those liquid shadows. I’ve got two of them and will probably end up getting all four. I have SUPER oily eyelids so I end up using Urban Decay Primer Potion all the time to make eyeshadows stay un-creasy. This liquid shadow, no lie, is like a tattoo or something it is that long-wearing. You absolutely must take it off with eye make up remover..it lasts that long! I was very skeptical because I am a skeptic about anything but powder and how long it can stay on my eyelids, but EL liquid eyeshadow stayed and stayed and stayed. Even without UDPP!
I sometimes apply it with a concealer brush (I just take the liquid off the wand with it) or sometimes I just pop it straight on my eyelid and blend with my finger. They become pretty sheer if you use your finger, or you can layer the color. They blend very easily with each other and other shadows, which is awesome too.
Very fun to play with, highly recommended! I went running in these…and they stayed!
I’m really intrigued by these liquid eye shadows. Seems like such a versatile product, and the colours are pretty!

Purrr-fect for the summer! I love the eyeshadow colors especially the purple, it makes my eyes pop. I also love the bronzing blush, beautiful mix. Can’t wait to buy these. I’m already getting ready for summer haha! 🙂
