Last night! I wanted to spend some time at the Smashbox counter at Macy’s and the boyfriend wanted to move on to men’s fragrance. It worked he left me there and checked back with me when he found stuff he liked to see if I like it as well.

About a week ago in a meeting with my boss. His wife stopped in to say hello and ask me about my recent engagemen. I batted my eyelashes sarcastically (if that’s possible) at my boss while answering her questions about a wedding date, when I’d be moving away, etc., because he goes into a panic whenever I talk about it.

Last week at my sister to show her how twee needed to be for her play! I did her stage makeup- 19th century english lass lol all ringlets and pink cheeks, she sucks at putting on mascara, so I made her see how essential lash-batting is, especially in Gilbert & Sullivan!

OMG karen, its like your WATCHING ME! i JUST literally batted my lashes at my boyfriend while grabbing a quick lunch at Wendy’s. We have an ongoing insider joke about lashes. My honey has the most lucious, long lashes I have ever seen, and I’m always HATING on how full and curved they are. So he just randomly bats them at me while making a “whoosh whoosh” sound. I did it to him while I was dunking my chicken nugget into my Frosty (don’t judge lol) because he actually noticed I didn’t put on mascara (ran out of my Clinique!!)

The last time I batted my eyelashes at someone was today when I received an e-mail coupon for Sweet Tomatoes and I said “Oh, What?, What’s that? You would like to take me there for lunch tomorrow?” to my boyfriend. Somehow he decided that meant I was agreeing to give him facial massages for a year in exchange for this one time lunch!!! Only because I was also reading online what causes baggy eyes (since he has them all the time) and one of the suggestions was to get a facial massage! Yeah, UM, I did NOT agree to that and clearly the eyelash batting was ineffective. Maybe I need the MAC mascara 😉

hmm, the last time i did the eyelash bat was at costco, and i was waiting patiently in line to get a very decent sized piece of a sample hamburger they were giving away. unluckily, the guy didn’t even pause at my eyelash batting – i think it was quicker than that so it could be considered a quick glance. it did not get me any closer to that sample tho… then again, said boy had kids begging, and old ladies cursing at him for their free hamburger! 😉

This may sound weird but do you bat your lashes after you text your special someone? All while I was texting a guy with whom there’s chemistry, my lashes would bat as we flirted via texting. (We live apart right now–he’s in the Marines while I’m just a student going to school) so texting is one of our modes of communication.
Just the other day I batted my lashes, my husband was the lucky recipient. I flirt with him all the time. The trick is to tilt the head slightly, twirl a strand of hair, and bat away!
A couple of weeks ago when I was trying to convince my hubby that I need a Louis Vuitton Speedy purse or a pair of platinum diamond earrings – it didn’t work.
It was Tuesday at work for me. I’m part time at a dental office and have a massive crush on one of the new doctors. I was trying to convince him to part with some paperwork I needed and it worked!

The last time I batted my lashes at someone was about 3 months ago, at the cute man, seated 1 seat away from me on an airplane. However, it didn’t have the effect I had intended. Since I had put on a thick layer of mascara that morning, when I winked, the lashes on my left upper and lower lid got tamgled together preventing me from opening my eye, certainly not what I had intended. He did however offer me a wet tissue to unstck them but not the conversation and possible date I was hoping for.

its ironic that you should pose this question since yesterday i was rewatching an old tv show from my childhood where some girl was over-bashing her lashes. it got me into a 30 minute one man discussion of why people do it. when it started, and if it even has an effect. that being said, i will answer your question with my aforementioned three.

It happens at least twice a week, but I assume the last time was to the gentleman preparing my omelette. I’m assuming it was extra delicious because of it.
A long, long time ago, I was sitting at an outside burger place in a college town. I looked ahead, and there was the cutest guy, younger than myself 5 tables away. I looked at him and batted my eyelashes — then looked away. A minute later I looked his way and he was looking at me! I could feel my eye lids raise in surprise and then I looked away. My girlfriend sitting next to me asked me what I was doing! I said I’m making eyes at a young man. He and I kept this silent flirting going for a good 30 minutes —- and IT WAS SUCH FUN!! I never spoke with him, but it was a very stimulating afternoon.
