He’s really cranky today! I think it’s because of the rain… it makes him nuts!
One of my sister’s cats tried to drown himself today. She heard a terrible racket at 5 AM, finally went downstairs to see what it was, and found him completely drenched. The watering can was overturned and there was water all over the floor — she had filled it to discourage him from sticking his head in, but it had the exact opposite effect.

If I was at your house and it was raining outside and that big ball of belly fur was lying their giving me the snaky side-eye, I’d just have to pick him up, plop him in my lap and hold him prisoner until he stopped being adorable, because that’s how I roll.

Missy’s cranky because of the rain today, too. And because of the fact that we turned the heater on for the first time this season. We do this every year around this time, and you’d think she would remember this sound, but no… she assumes that some loud monster has possessed the house and she’s pacing around meowing and growling, yes, the cat is growling!
