So tiny and cute! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a liquid liner tip as teeny as the one atop the new Hourglass Script Precision Liquid Liner pen ($32).
The pen’s extra fine 0.5mm nib would make drafting pens jealous. New for summer, it’s built for the ultimate in line drawing precision and lays down fine, thin lines along my lash line with very little skipping. It did, though, take me a couple of minutes of fiddling to find a good position to hold the pen, as the tip is shorter than most liquid liners and feels a little awkward in my hand.
Jett, the single color available, looks like a shiny grayish black with blue undertones on me.

If you and Jett hit it off, hang on to your receipt until you’re able to make sure your pen works because the first one I tried had problems. The tip had dried up and wouldn’t work at all. It might’ve been a fluke, but for $32 (expensive!), you definitely want one that works.
I’m nit-picky about my liquid liners and don’t change favorites very often. LORAC Front of the Line Pro has been my jam for the past few years. It’s about $10 less than the Script and probably remains my favorite overall (creates a mean cat eye flick at the end), but Script does have the upper hand when it comes to precision with super thin lines. It’s downright expensive, but Script might be worth it if you like the look and don’t mind a splurge.

Holy cheese, that’s a lot for liquid liner. My standby is Incolor Fabuliner : $2. I am not kidding. It’s in the Jordana display at Walgreens, and I often grab two, just to have a backup!
It works like a felt tip pen- and it’s got a pretty fine point, too.

Woo, that is thin! Which is probably what I need since I have an extremely heavy hand with eyeliner. It always looks like it was applied by a 3 year old with a chubby crayon. I’ve been practicing with the Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush that you recommended, though, and I’m getting better!

i loved the calvin klein marker one it was fantastic! only dried up when i let my mom use it, ive since been using MUFE liquid liner but im just inept at lining my eyes, ill have to take a look at your lorac one!

Whew! That is quite pricey, but I’m Ms. Butterfingers and always get huge thick lines with other liners so.. maybe? Also I cracked up at the ‘haaay’ swatch. You have great handwriting.
I totally know what you mean. Try this one and maybe the LORAC one as well. I had so much trouble with liquid liner until I started using LORAC’s. It changed everything.
Looks exactly like the Front of the Line liquid liner from LORAC (the packaging and the tip look IDENTICAL). I absolutely love that one. The regular price is $23.00 (and lately you can buy a kit with the mascara included—which also works fabulously btw—for like $36). The Lorac one lasts me all day, and sometimes (shamefully enough) until the morning as well! 🙂
I would FREAK OUT if that Lorac liner was ever discontinued, for real!!

Yeah, Hourglass stuff is priced similarly to Chanel. It’s an arm and a leg! They’ve got some beautiful textures, though, and packaging always looks luxe.

I LOVE this liner! It is pretty pricey but cleanup is such a breeze! This is the only liner I don’t have to use makeup remover with. Rub it w/ a little bit of water and it just beads off. It’s so awesome!

I like water proof, personally, so Lorac gets another point from me. BUT, I am liking Hour Glass products these days so I might have to try it for work days, and keep Front of the Line for weekends and nights I’ll need the long lasting wear 😉

It is interesting to me that you say it gives a finer line than Lorac since Lorac gives me a ridiculously fine line. I’m talking like a thread thinness. Which is great for me since I have small eyes and heavy liner just doesn’t work for me. I use Lorac sometimes for a no-liner, just fuller lashes look.
This one is teeny tiny. Seriously. If you’re used to Front of the Line Pro it may take a while to adjust because the tip is so much shorter!

You have such pretty handwriting! This looks nice, but I’m happy with Front of the Line Pro, which I honestly don’t even use too often because I’m laaaaazy. I usually tightline with a UD pencil and go from there.
Tigger says hi, by the way. He’s been doing really well! He hasn’t has a seizure since that last one he had that I told you about weeks ago. His balance is still a little off, but he’s back to normal. Of course, “normal” for Tigger means batting at things that aren’t there and running around (of course, due to the balance issues, this means he occasionally ends up flopping over to the side, lol). When he wasn’t feeling quite up to speed, he stopped playing with his favorite toy, and now he’s back to carrying it all around the house. He’s a happy boy 🙂

Your handwriting is fab. How on earth do you keep it up? I’ve spent so many years typing everything that my once-nice handwriting looks awful now. It makes me sad. Although, mine was never as nice as yours is. You should do wedding invitation calligraphy on the side. Did I mention how impressed I am with your handwriting? HAHA! I also thought the liner looked cool but my short list of liquid liners to check out has Front of the Line only. 🙂

I can’t focus on anything else because of that fabulous handwriting of yours. 0_0 Wowza. I was forced to take some calligraphy lessons too but it never stuck with me! (Might also have something to do with the fact that I was using a big ol’ brush with ground up ink on rice paper in the traditional Chinese style–never got good grades on those.)
I used to have a calligraphy book that I bought cheapo at one of those bookstores in NYC–are they called Strand??–but never got around to practicing except for a specific few art projects. Now I feel like I should start again. Maybe I’ll cover the whole walls with calligraphy. That would cost a lot come move out time from my apartment… LoL
I bought this when they first started carrying Hourglass at Sephora X amount of years ago. I had the SAME problem; tip just dried up and wouldn’t work again. I hadn’t forseen that problem and threw out my receipt. $32 down the drain. On top of it, the liner itself would drag and disappear if you tried going over it again once it had dried. This entire product was just a big ol’d bag of FAIL, in my opinion. You would think that after so many years, they would have corrected the problem of the tip drying out. Apparently not. Boo!
