Wearing Dolce & Gabbana Ruby Collection Classic Cream Lipstick in Ruby
Rodeos everywhere are banning the new Dolce & Gabbana Ruby collection because its five Classic Cream Lipsticks have all the bulls seeing red! 🙂
No two ways about it — these festive and flirty lippies are for ladies who like red, and they’re jam packed with so much rich red pigment that they’re driving up the price of stop signs nationwide!
LOL! Okay, I’ll stop with the jokes. But seriously, these are really red.
They’re $37 each, which is $7 more than usual for one of Dolce & Gabbana’s Classic Creams; the markup pays for their dazzling limited edition Ruby attire.
With these, Dolce & Gabbana essentially created a nuanced wardrobe of red for a five-day week. The first time I swatched them on the back of my hand, I thought they looked too similar, but I could see their differences more clearly once I got them on my lips.

These feel quite thick on my lips and tend to stay put, but it might help to apply your favorite lip liner first to keep them from migrating beyond your natural lip line, especially if you like to rub your lips together like I do. For your efforts, you’ll be rewarded with about four hours of wear time, and then — then they fade to a gorgeous stain that lingers on the lips for the rest of the day…kinda like you’ve spent the afternoon drinking red wine and kissing a handsome stranger (I’m just sayin’).
The price and subtlety among the five shades may be turnoffs for some, but if you relish red lips and appreciate nuanced differences in color, the Dolce & Gabbana Ruby Collection Lipsticks fit the bill.

Oh, some news! I think I just booked my first photography gig. 🙂 My friend Jen asked me to take the pictures at her son’s baptism ceremony on Saturday. It’s not a fancy official paying job or anything, but I’m really looking forward to taking some pictures for my portfolio.
I just hope I don’t knock over any candles or blind the priest with the flash… That would not be good.

Well, I like seeing red lipstick on other people. I still haven’t found a way to make red lipstick works for me.
I tried swatching NARS Dolce Vita that you recommended sometime ago in Sephora, but I was still on the fence about it… 🙁
Oh well, maybe next year.. I guess I’ll try progressing from semi-bright pink first.. I don’t seem to have too much problem wearing the color… 🙂

I love you in these red colors! In partiular Ruby looks stunning! Ruby also looks (and now this may sound funny) natural on you! It’s like, if people were born with red lips, ruby would be yours!
I’ve just splurged on a red lippie – Chanel’s Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon, so ill be passing on these beauties. Normally I don’t throw down that kind of dough, lol, but the Laque in Dragon is the only long wearing red I’ve found comfortable enough to actually stand wearing! And as it seems the Laques may either be discontinued, or we will stop carrying them at Macy’s, I decided to splurge!

My first thoughts when I first saw the swatches was oh my gosh they are all the same red! But you can definitely see the differences in the photos. All of these lipsticks are really pretty reds. Iconic looks great on you!

They’re all so beautiful! However, for the $37 dollar price tag, I’d splurge on just one. They’re all so close in color, spending roughly $180 on five, as a college student I just cant talk myself into these,
