There’s nothing like lipstick to lift a girl’s spirit and help her climb out of a mental funk.
Today the four Chanel Aqualumieres ($29 each) from the Holiday 2009 collection were my little rescue workers.
I’m a little surprised that Chanel chose to release these for fall/winter on account of how sheer and shiny they are; seems like pinks and nudes are more typical spring/summer fare, but Coco and Co. always like to shake things up.

I think my favorite’s Maldives… It’s hard to go wrong with a name like that (I hear there’s good surfing in Maldives), and I dig the rosy pink.
I like all four of the names, but it doesn’t look like there’s a huge degree of difference among the shades…
It’s time for this tired girl to hit the haaaaaay…
Sorry about not keeping up with your comments. I have been reading them all, even during the move, but I haven’t had time to reply. I’ll get back on track soon.
Hope you had a nice day. 🙂
Zzzzzzz…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I like Tasmania on u ! all the chanel lipstick colors seem a little similar to me though..

Grenada is beautiful, I think more flattering on a larger range of skin tones!
Where’s the “all of the above” option? All are beautiful.
I could swear to God there is a food called maldives but Google is only coming up with the country. Am I going nuts or is there food called a maldive? I think it’s a fruit or a nut…..:frustration:
hmm, I like the last one the best and it looks like I am the minority… weird…
Hi Karen,
Good to see that all is well with the move. I feel your pain girl, moving is so not fun.
For how sheer they are, do you think these are worth purchasing? I feel like they all look a little similar.

They all look pretty much the same to me but I think Maldives is my favourite too.

I love Galapagos and Maldives!
Maldives, without a doubt in my mind. Such a fine and smooth color with just the right shine
I love all of these. They look fabulous on you. Chanel did a great job again – so happy since I know I cannot wear those noirs on the lips.

Man i want me some new Chanel goodies so badly, but alas i am saving for a new computer. Gonna be a MAC. So Chanel and all the others will have to wait a bit. “sigh” 😉
The look all very similar on your lips, but based on the tube colour, I like Maldives the best.

I saw this and thought “wow, she is tired. She used the same image for all 4 names!” Pretty, but too slight of a difference for me to fork out for any of these…

Is it just me or they look the same? :/
Hm. I’m with you on everything for this one — great names, and all very pretty, but way too similar! *yawn*

Hi Rae,
They’re very sheer for sure… you definitely have to be in the mood for light color to wear these!
Ooh, my fave is Grenada on you. They’re all really pretty and wearable looking though!

Hi Catherine,
Totally. They’re sheer enough to apply even without a mirror. So easy to wear!
Hey, has school started back up for you?
