The Dior Jazz Club’s frenzy of coolish pinks, purples, grays and burgundies reminds me of smokey eyes, knee-high boots and knit sweaters. It’s a truly fall collection, and it makes me want to skip down sidewalks covered in autumn leaves on my way to Nordstrom, where the new collection is on sale now (and soon to be online). 🙂
A few things of note…
- The collection has a *ton* of gray eyeshadows in a variety of textures, so if you wear grays well, it could be worth a splurge.
- All three blushes in the collection are light, shimmery pinks that may function better as highlighters for girls with darker skin.
- I couldn’t take my eyes off the 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Night Butterfly and the Creme de Glosses in Sweet Praline and Fig Nectar. I think all three would work wonders in a look featuring smokey purple eyes and nude lips.

Umm. Can you say Chicago the movie/musical? That’s what this totally reminds me of and I LOVE that movie. I really like that deep blue Argentic and the one from palette 1. Hot hot hot. I’m getting the Laura Mercier blue mosaic palette on Monday AHH so excited!! I think there’s something really interesting about dark blue smokey eyes.

I normally don’t pick up single seyeshadows by Argentic is GORGEOUS and I think I am totally going to splurge… otherwise the quint for sure (gorgeous purples!) and both Jazz palettes (if the Nordstrom one comes to Canada… I hope it dose), and the the glosses look gorgeous… my wallet is crying!!

Hmm, I think the Nordstrom ones are sold exclusively at Nordstrom stores. I think that if you purchase them over the phone they can ship it to you for a fee. 🙂
I bought the Taffeta Plum gloss on impulse last week. It will be going back to nordstroms soon. It didn’t give me much color at all. I would like to try 3 of the four lipsticks (not mauve royal). I’ll play around with them when I go back to nordstroms. Not really interested in much else.

If only I weren’t so darn poor. Grey eyeshadow brings out the grey in my eyes. I was born with slate grey eyes and I still have a bit of the color in my brown eyes. It’s unusual.
Have I mentioned I look and feel fabulous in purple? It is my favorite color!

Out of the lip products I love the Creme de Gloss and the lipsticks most. The gloss is okay — it’s on the sheer side, which is good for when I’m in the mood for it.
OH hell yeah, palette 001 is calling out to me. Am so snatching that one up. If I’m lucky, maybe they’ll have it in the duty-free shops on the way to Chicago.

I’m like dying over here because of all of the beautiful items. This one seems like it was made for me haha. I look super-good in grey eyeshadows. I love purples, plums and rosy shades. I love dark lipsticks and polishes. The blushes would look effin-fantabulous on my albino-light skin. Ahhhhh! *falls into a CD-love-coma*

Yah, I know. I’m not ready for fall yet! The summer colors are my favorites so it’s going to be hard for me to let all the golds, bronze and teals go.
Didn’t they have Gold Touch eyeshadow on display? When Christine did her swatches she couldn’t find Trendy Taupe, but that didn’t matter. Gold Touch is such a RICCHHH shade of warm coppery gold with a touch of bronze. Yumm..
